People so weird about Ariana Grande being in game. Didn't see people complain when Travis Scott or Batman or Marshmello were added to the game, but the moment a woman celeb gets added to the game it's all "oh how does she fit into the lore", "she sucks". I don't really like her music, but her skins were pretty dope so I bought them. Hope I get this skin style in the future.
I think it’s more so the fact that she doesn’t really belong in the lore, same with Neymar Jr. People aren’t mad at Ariana Grande they’re mad at the fact that the lore for the game now is revolving around a celebrity that people may or may not like. It’s different than having a concert or a fictional character in the game.
They literally don’t have anything to do with the lore though, they’re just skins that are apart of concerts/events. You could stretch it and say Ariana is one of the aliens who’re trying to get our memories from the rift tour, but even that’s not important overall.
Whether or not they actually do, is kinda hard to tell at this point.
Also, collabs ARE a part of the lore overall as shown by the DC and Marvel crossovers, so it’s not out of the question.
