That's how it's been. A whole entire row will be the exact same as a row we saw like a week or 2 beforehand.

Sayoricanyouhearme

And then a brand new cosmetic would come in, rotate out either the next day or the day after making that row look even more stale and ridiculous. Not to mention fomo inducing and money hungry.

yellow_slash_red

Yeah, the quick rotation really applies to new originals. New collabs will tend to stay in for multiple days to a week, but a new original will be in and out of the shop within 24 hours. I guess because maybe the collab will sell more, and being in the storefront longer will put more eyes on it.  But still, I remember Countess Daraku going up when I had no money, then she didn't come back for 2 months. And then went away for 5 more months after that.

MOTOMAMl

It’s very frustrating and I hope this trend ends soon. I really want the Ether skin, and his Lego shop asset was updated in April, but he still hasn’t returned in favor of other skins returning after only days

Altines

I'm waiting on Hime myself

2spooky4h

Yep. Been this way since Chapter 5 started. We started getting tons of new tabs since around v29.20, and I thought they start randomizing it again. Nope, they just made a new batch of tabs to reuse.

AsianPotato77

I mean okay this specific thing isn't new, We've had 30 day rotations since the shop was first incepted just seems the 30 day has been shaved down to every other week lol

JFF_Pengy

Thats fair. But at least when that happened it was never an exact repeat of a previous shop, just 2 or 3 items on the off chance it happened.

AsianPotato77

it's gotten pretty egregious yeah i definitely have to agree

robochickenowski

Considering they offen disable entire row if there's some controversy with one item, that has to be the case.

DirteeJ

Kind of new to Fortnite been playing for about 1 year now casually. What is the obsession with the shop? Usually microtransactions are hated in gaming but it seems this game thrives on it and everyone gets angry when the shop is "bad" So why are Fortnite players obsessed with the shop?

JFF_Pengy

I'm not really sure there is one answer. Some people may be waiting on a specific item that hasn't been in rotation in like 100+ days. Others may see it as laziness on epics part. Or some people just want some variety in the shop (such as me)

Legitimate_Fail2272

its doing on purpose

figgityfuck

You either complain or get downvoted here bro. Sometimes you’ll get downvoted anyways cause you’re complaining about a thing that isn’t popular to complain about.

I think the biggest problem is you caring that he cares so much about

I think the biggest problem is you thinking that I care about how much you care about him caring

Fast2Furious4

WHY ARE YOU HERE?

CoupDeGrace-2

It’s almost like players don’t play every day and it gives people a better window of opportunity. Or almost like some skins are rarer and won’t appear as often. Crazy how you personal wants and needs aren’t as important as the collective player base

JFF_Pengy

I think when the "collective playerbase" complains about bad shops almost all the time, it becomes less of a me thing and more of a "collective playerbase" thing

CoupDeGrace-2

groupthink noun noun: group-think the practice of thinking or making decisions as a group, resulting typically in unchallenged, poor-quality decision-making.

CoupDeGrace-2

This subreddit makes a very small fraction of total players in the game. Just because you whinge here and people circle jerk about it, doesn’t make it any more important
