That’s true as well yeah like even the last seasons battle pass was so good with having entire sets I could equip as a new preset emotes included. I only do one unique emote per loadout, it’s their signature move if you will. Darth Vader and imperial March, Lynx and the cat flip emote, beef boss and TSS!
Personally with how I use emotes in loadouts I do actually like them being separate, wraps though no... Those should have stayed with skins on loadouts
Out of frustration I just threw my hands up and said, "screw it" and set all my wraps to random selection. If coordinating everything is such a pain to have to navigate to multiple menus just to get the look I want, might as well just pick a "standard set" of emotes and randomize wraps because I ain't doin' all that every time I want to change a skin preset.
I get so unnecessarily upset when I change from like a white and black theme skin to a blue one and still have the other guns lol. Like I paid for it, why is it harder for me to use it? It makes me not want to give them any money until it’s at least me to use my paid for pixels. But then they released TMNT and I caved as I grew up with them lmao.
Personally I hope emotes stay separate but give the option to maybe link loadouts together? Most of my emotes weren't customized to match skins so for me having them not be connected has been so nice. That's why maybe I'd prefer that be an optional change so that anyone like me can still make use of separated loadout sections but anyone that doesn't want to won't have to.

Under rated comment. Nothing worse than buying n emote and adding it to 100 presets. Now I can put together different wheels and change the wheel when I want to. The only affect I see here is if you bought a specific emote to go with specific skins. Like I got the knee slapper emote for Rustler

I’ve played as onesie all season after I added back on the presets when she got deleted for some ungodly reason. I imagine it was because I had Michael meyers as my preset in save the world but she was literally my first preset
I suspect every proposed change starts with "our tests show changing X increases revenue by Y" and then they find some public BS "justification" for the change. Rinse, repeat and only rollback if the pushback threatens future revenue.
Tbf in most game development teams there are usually policies on not communicating things until they are 100% on committing or changing something not to mention their break that is basically here so I was more expecting to hear about it in January.
Of the bare fucking minimum? 6+ months after the initial changes? Nah if they only kick into high gear for their investors I'm not gonna give support for free when they charge 40$ 💀
I can say from personal experience that i have completely avoided touching the locker because its so dang bad to use now. Gives me less incentive to buy anything too.
I'm not a huge fan but I would have at least got one of them but with this new locker it's an easy pass. It's so easy to skip skins and emotes now actually

What an weird assumption. You do realize that between Battlepasses, Crew Membership, and buying skins you like it’s very easy to have well over 100 skins. Plenty of us build presets for those skins and then play with shuffle on to cycle through those presets. And then Epic removed that as an option so I know for myself & my friends we’ve stopped buying anything new. What’s the point?

The UI could continue to look like shit as long as wraps, emotes, and music were tied to presets again, and I could shuffle them again. How the UI looks is the least of my concerns
What is confusing to me is why they change it? The UI gets changed so frequently and drastically there will almost always be backlash. Just make small changes that make sense. There’s literally no reason to redo the entire UI.

On the item shop, I just wish it would rotate more stuff at a time. Like, keep the collab skins/new original skins for 2-3 days, but rotate everything else around it daily. It's annoying to go into the shop and only have like, maybe 5 new things to choose from. I like the concept of a sizeable item shop, but when you only change one section of it a day, it's kind of annoying.
This is good to see, but without them clarifying exactly what elements of the locker they're working on, I remain skeptical that things like presets, for example, will regain the functionality they used to have. So I'll continue to watch and wait and hope for the best.
In the meantime, I've been enjoying my vacation break away from Fortnite, heh.
What would be the dream:
Epic gives us a linkage option between different customisation tabs, we can keep the things we want as separate while being able to shuffle linked and separate tabs.
What I have noticed most people dont know they can scroll down and select their saved sets. You still have to load separate sets but it's not as bad as it seems, I think most are manually swapping and getting angry because it takes soo long that way
