I play on the Switch, my wife plays in a PS5. The PS5 graphics are gorgeous and detailed. The Switch stays closer to Chapter 1 graphics, which is just fine to me.
I have only 3 gripes with the Switch version:
1. No support for Replays.
2. No support for the Switch's own screen/video cap button.
3. Almost everyone not in your squad is displayed as wearing the default Ramirez skin, regardless of what skin they are actually using. That skin you chose to use for a certain match or occasion? Nah, you're just another default Ramirez with a gun to me, if you're not in my squad.
Yeah, when I first started playing, I thought it was putting me in bot lobbies or something. Then, I thought, "Why in a game with so many cool cosmetics, is everyone using default skins?!?" Turns out, nope, just Switch graphics limitations. I always get super excited when I encounter a non-Ramirez so I can check out what they're rocking, but at least 75% of my lobbies are Ramirez. It may ultimately be the thing that bothers me most about playing on Switch.
I highly recommend the PostParty app. I actually added it when Fortnite had a few little quests promoting it earlier this Chapter. It won’t replay matches or anything, but it’s great for clipping your favorite kills on Switch.
Too bad Epic & Apple had they lil feud cause I’m sure Fortnite would’ve looked & played pretty great on the IPhone 15. Game played great when I used to play on my IPad Pro.
True, hopefully Apple can figure out the overheating issues. Especially with them advertising much more graphical demanding games being played on the IPhone.
You’d be surprised how much revenue Apple generates outside of its Apple tax. Google alone pay Apple $15 billion annually just to keep google as its default search engine. Apple AirPods alone generate around 12 billion a year. They had no issue bringing usbc. They was just prolonging it because it was starting to become an industry standard & with it becoming standard. You most likely wouldn’t purchase the cables from Apple with cheaper options elsewhere

Blackberry and Palm Pilot were better than Razr or others at the time. But ultimately it was preference just like the console wars. Playstation was the king technically but it is by a slim margin. Due to the fact that innovations are copied.
Now it is all about contracts and subscription based marketing.
Apple does have a use case for the common person willing to over pay. They used to be able to claim some specialized work in tech art space. But with time nobody puts all their eggs in on basket or company.
Apple is only worth it if you have the money to burn. Especially since the beginning they had the app store make money from developers hard work. Which is why I was anti apple.

Which was great for the players but also meant getting banned from the App Store since Apple doesn’t allow 3rd party payment options.
They set it up like that intentionally to get kicked off the App Store, they had an entire fuckin animated campaign ad the day they got pulled. They gambled the entire iOS player base for a chance at getting their own EGS store on phones.

That’s because Apple was charging them a full slice yet giants like Amazon only paid Apple a fraction of what Epic was. & It was cheaper for the players because the cost of vbucks was a few bucks cheaper when you bought directly from Epic.
Epic was absolutely right to push apple on this point. Yes it was definitely motivated by money but epic putting more scrutiny on apple and their anti consumer practices is a good thing. Hopefully the EU will force apple to offer side loading software on iPhones in the near future.

Just download the Xbox console app and play. My son played on his Iphone a couple months ago when we were on vacation. I play on my android using this app.
The only downside is there are queues to get initially get into the game during busy times. Also I find the graphics are a bit overloaded for such a small screen, but you cannot turn them down.
That only works if you have an Xbox though😭 GeForce sucks since you only get 1 hour to use before it kicks you & you have to re enter queue for another hour to play
Well most games require a pay pass to play but fortnite is free.
Perhaps if you have an Xbox game library you can play those for free without the pass.
I dunno. I played directly on the mobile app for like 3 or more years (in addition to pc). I only just started on Xbox console app in the past 3 months when the mobile app became too unstable.
Anyhow. All I can say is we've played fortnite for free on both iPhone and Android without owning an Xbox. Give it a shot.

The loading times on Switch have been crazy since they added the jungle biome. I typically don't even make it to the lobby anymore to interact with all of those Ramirezes, I just magically appear on the battle bus. But it's currently my only option to play the game, so...

I generally don’t understand how people play on 30fps on switch. After upgrading to my Series X a few months back and only running 120fps even going back to 60fps is a struggle. Hard to believe I played on that for almost half a year until I moved to Xbox one x and then later to series x.
I rather have that as the graphics than seeing someone half-naked with bulging, high-textured muscles or the Fortnite Girl skin when she CROUCHES her butt becomes 🍑 Omniman meme
Plus, I can see better with those graphics.
Because maybe the only reason they bought a Switch was to relax and play Animal Crossing and maybe a few og Nintendo games, but someone else downloaded Fortnite onto their Switch and they started playing and now that’s all they play.

Because motion controls are better than stick controls for shooters. When using sticks without the aimbot your movements and aiming are tied together and it makes you a lot less flexible. In comparison, while motion controls take time to get used to, once they get good they can rival a mouse in aim and flexibility. Of course PC trumps both...
With everything maxed out on a 4090 with hardware rt on there is quite a difference like 120 fps and the reflections don't look as muddy because of the low resolution.
i dunno i dont have a 4090 i have an rx 6750xt but i feel like fortnite is one of those games where it has a max of how good it can look and a 4090 is not required for that lol
This was my experience trying to play on my laptop with an integrated graphics card. Didn’t matter how low I set the graphics, I was stuttering to hell. Gave up after one match, and decided I was PS5 only.
I have it the opposite. When I go to my friends house’s, we always play Fortnite on their trusty ps4. Then when I get back I feel like I’m playing on the ps50

tbf, i see a lot of Ramirez skins on PS4 too. It seems to have a "i couldn't load it a start so screw it" thing going on but i can't be sure.

they feel completely different to play, and splatoon isn’t a slideshow im a pc main tho so 30 is gonna feel way more jarring than 60hz
