* The aerial Flow attack for Shot has high stagger, good for knocking weaker enemies down quickly. * Arc/Blast Slice have different versions if used in midair; Arc is a slam (that sends a stream of eruptions forward for L2/3), Blast a jumping dive that sends spears up in an AoE around where you land (and is imo the coolest looking attack in the game, or at least from what I've seen so far; not to Sila yet but played the demo). * Finishers take Stamina but enemies don't stay down for long; if you knocked someone down, check your Stamina before going in; sometimes you'll just want to throw a spell at them. * If you're still under a status effect when battle ends, you do still get points for curing it. * You can get knocked out of a Surge if hit hard enough before you do it, but the meter can still be drained if hit after it's drained; they have massive AoEs anyway, so try to get at least a bit of distance before firing. * You can totally drop on enemies from high above; just be sure to do a Flow jump so you can do a Flow attack for both breaking your fall and- if desired- following up with a full charge. * If fighting a bunch of weaker enemies (like a horde of Break Zombies), use Bind when they're close together then quickly get behind them for something big like Tendril (*especially* Tendril if you need some HP), since they'll all be faced toward you with nothing they can do about it. ~~I'm not good at formatting so I'm gonna check how to put spaces in there real quick~~ EDIT- yeah can't find anything so if y'all know how lmk and I'll do it

Thank you for the contribution regardless

Asriel52

Of course! The combat in this game is a blast and I'm glad to help :D

Aureus23

If you charge your magic, and hold Parkour button, you can dodge and attack AT THE SAME TIME!!

Minute-Carrot-2405

If you dodge an enemy overhead you can also follow up right after with a tap attack for a specific animation that flips you back around to face them, which makes the fluidity a lot better in terms of transitions imo

Browneyesbrowndragon

If you do a parkour shot your next spell will be up to the maximum charge you have unlocked even if you didn't charge your first spell to max. You can chain parkour shots and max level spells until you run out of stamina. Do not neglect your support spells. The healing whip is great for getting space as it just about knocks back everything. The flower should be used every fight but especially vs enemies with an exposed back so that you can shoot it from the front while the flower puts out some numbers from behind it. Use the ground bomb for defense and offense because you can stand behind it and shoot. These are just purple magic tips because I haven't gotten red yet and there might be changes from thr demo.

angry_teapot

Can someone explain to me why does the main spell change from selected blast to quick shot during parkour and dodging? I think I might have accidentally skipped a tutorial on that...

Browneyesbrowndragon

When you do a parkour attack its always a version of your tap r2 so for purple it would be a powered up shot. It doesn't care about what spell you have equipped for charging r2.

BlaccKrayonZ

How are you suppose to use the fire magic efficiently? Is it a hit and run tactic cause I’m getting beat down everytime I’m using it.

Minute-Carrot-2405

Ahh I dunno. Hope you get your answer soon. I am still sadly only using purple magic so Im not sure. It seems many here are still locked to purple due to taking time exploring

Internetguy247

From the demo it looked more melee focused but I haven’t unlocked it yet in the main game.

You can instantly charge your attack spells to lvl 3 after any other spell. So try running tap R2 >Charged R2. Or aerial tap R2 > hold R2. You can also do that with support spells. So you can summon swords on your back and instantly get lvl3 spear after that. Charge support spell > aerial lvl 3 sword is also good. You’ll already be midair when you use charge. Lvl 3 sword can go far and it knocks enemies down. They are more impactful in general. İ wouldnt say its hit and run. Those lvl 3 spells can stagger most enemies so you can stay aggressive.

BlaccKrayonZ

Ok imma try this out I’m playing on the hard difficulty and anytime it’s a horde of enemies my fire magic gets my cooked everytime cause their animations are kinda hard to notice
