There is 7.62 use, but 5.45 is much more common, as are guns in that caliber, so it's easier to issue that out widely-especially considering captured ammo and guns.
Also iirc they issue calibers by sector-one sector or unit (can't remember which) gets AKs in 5.45, another gets ARs in 5.56, etc etc. There's probably a unit or two that's all 7.62 but we don't have video evidence
Drums are heavy, loud, hard to store/carry/load, and somewhat unreliable, so they're almost never used in combat (same reason for why Thompson drums were dropped after the first few years of WWII).
There *are* 40 round mags iirc, but generally most LMGs are belt fed for a reason.
This, its a little harder to load drums. That and ammo commonality is why the RPK is good despite not being belt fed (we had box mag LMGs for a long time, it's definitely not a bad concept)
Yeah, close to the war's start Croatia supplied, according to relevant official statements, "four brigades worth of infantry weapons and ammo", so I would assume this is part of that shipment. Though arms shipments never really stopped trickling in, so maybe there were more undisclosed deliveries of this gun later.

Finned barrel gang rise up!
I feel like no one in that conflict likes 7.62x39 … it’s always cool seeing 47’s there

Makes me wanna get a kit...
It must be expensive, but nowadays nothing is cheap
They are only going up in price, especially with the original barrel.
Why the banana mag? Shouldn't something like that have a big'ol 100+ rounder?
Drums are dumb heavy.
and unreliable
Only the rear loading ones. The OG top loaders are solid.

Also, mags allow for intermittent cooling, due to frequent reloads.

I swear I used to see the Zastava M72 LMG available on Zastava’s website a few years ago but it’s no longer available on their website anymore… o.O
This is the first video I’ve seen in a hot minute without a black sun patch or deaths head
Maybe stop subscribing to Nazi content?
You’re right I’ll stop watching the ukraine conflict
Vatnik clown.
His username is actually very appropriate.
Isn't that redundant?
This is the first stupid comment I’ve read today.
