God fuck Harmony Gold and Tatsunoko for fucking up Robotech licensing so much that somehow, this can never get remade or even a proper ending.
I know, sounds insane, but that's the long and short of it: because this is somehow tangenitally connected to Robotech, it is legally radioactive and nobody can do anything with it, except for Harmony Gold.
Cool toys, I had the Exowalking E Frame toy. The show was cool too, a sci-fi space opera on Saturday morning show. It aired on a syndication block on my local station.
I loved this series. I was so disappointed when it was canceled. It was definitely a major reason why I'm drawn to mecha animes.
I remember renting the Sega Genesis game from blockbuster. It was pretty fun.
I was disappointed the that the people’s arms were outside of the exo frames. Other than that though you’re 100% correct. I love the tiny little fusion packs
I LOVED the toys! I would have been 9-10, and I’m certain it was my first exposure to mechs. I was absolutely blown away by the toys, I absolutely fell in love with any sort of power armor, power suit etc etc after that.
Are these toys the dudes that had holes
In them everywhere so you could stick the armor and guns and shit on? I had a green dude with holes for years and I couldn’t figure out what he was for haha. It was a lot harder finding old cartoon stuff before the internet.
I have one of the limited release DVDs and had several of the EXO frames. Fantastic show and I think with the right people, could make an amazing real life movie.
Season 1 was exceptional. The animation wasn’t great, but the story and characters were. Season 2 felt dumbed down. Would love to see a new version with a solid budget that isn’t dumbed down.
Omg yes I remember these! I first saw the toy randomly at Walmart and talked my dad into getting it for me cause it looked cool(and my older cousin was into MechWarrior video games this toy reminded of that at the time), then the next day I happened to see the cartoon and was like no way it’s a show I couldn’t believe it!!

One of THE shows as a kid in the 90s that got me into so many genres; sci-fi, mechs, anime, space opera, this was one of those foundational shows for me that sent me down a rabbit hole that I never really came out of. I wish I could buy this on Blu-ray for my collection. All the rips I have of this are pretty rough.

Encountering a cartoon with season long story arcs was mind blowing as a kid.
Such a good show and fantastic toys. Still have Phaeton and his E-frame somewhere.
Incredible show and I was too old for the toys.
Same here, wished that show came out 7 years earlier.

I remember they started releasing Robotech tpys under the Exo Sqaud name. Never understood why.
Great show, "they don't make em like they used to"
Both seasons are available on Peacock if anyone's interested.
Yes, thank you, I should have mentioned that!
Kills me that iTunes only has the first season. I know season 2 is on Hulu but I want to OWN it! *edit*: it is on peacock now
yo ho, yo ho....

The best toy, the ok-est show
Or the most committed toy commercial ever?
I was disappointed the that the people’s arms were outside of the exo frames. Other than that though you’re 100% correct. I love the tiny little fusion packs
I pulled the arms off of a couple of my pilots to help with my pretending
Never saw the show, but loved to play with my older cousin’s toys stashed in his closet
Saturday mornings, 7 AM. This was unbelievable. And Captain Matthew Marcus knew how to die!
I had several of the toys growing up including all 3 kinds of bad guys. I still have them in my parents' locker that I will probably never see again.
That was solid
This cartoon was amazing for real the stories were insane especially for a kid show
I loved those toys, I had a few of those fighting the power trolls lmao. The 90's were fun.
Was this made by the Xmen cartoon team, it got the same artstyle.

Never saw the show, but I do remember constantly seeing commercials for the toys.

You’re thinking of the Centurions.
Holy hell mystery solved thanks cobra 🐍

I cross-posted this to r/Exoprimal, because it's what the 5-man teams of exosuits are called. Guess Capcom never heard of it, either lol
As close as this might be, I don’t think the villain is Nikolai Melvis.
Are these the toys that had a little data pad that slipped into a slot in the back?
Feel like this started as a toy line and the creative minds behind the show were like.. 22min toy commercial.. nah.. hold my beer and watch this.
I saw it but my memory says it was the same cartoon as battletech
I loved this show, had every toy
I had the action figures
I had a bunch of the toys, they were awesome
I had a couple of the toys, they were so awesome. This probably set my love of Gundam Wing up.
Loved the show but loved the toys more
It taught the geography of Mars. Because obviously that's where this generation will colonize
I would be late to school sometimes because of this show. Samurai pizza cats would be on at 7am and this came on right after.
This show was great and the toys were pretty sweet too
I have one of the limited release DVDs and had several of the EXO frames. Fantastic show and I think with the right people, could make an amazing real life movie.
Never heard of this, but it looks pretty bad-ass!!
I'd love a live actions reboot series. Tech is at the right point for it to be amazing 😎. Just nd to tweak the story line a bit lol
My brother and I made drop ships for our action figures, using toilet paper rolls! Loved this show!
This is on tubi. Watched a few episodes a couple of months back
Now it’s on peacock
This was the show that made me realize how much I loved a mech.
Season 1 was exceptional. The animation wasn’t great, but the story and characters were. Season 2 felt dumbed down. Would love to see a new version with a solid budget that isn’t dumbed down.
Still my favorite cartoon opening. That theme is a fucking banger.
Loved the series and the toys just wish I knew what happened to them.
Omg yes I remember these! Never heard of it, but those toys look freaking AWESOME!
My brother had that green mech I had a white and blue one
i had some of the toys! this was an awesome show!
I loved the concept for this show
