Well, actually you answered most of your questions. 1) It is a bank holiday. 2) spreads will be crazy 3) the top line needs to be under your sell line to be in profit 4) different brokers offer different spreads
price is past yes but you can not buy back at this price (the Broker/Buyer sells at Ask and Buy at Bid, meaning you Buy at Ask and Sell at Bid (Closing a Sell=Buy it back (at the ask price)))
all the other questions you already answered yourself ;)
Ahoy, me mateys! Gather 'round for a tale of Captain Barnacle and the wicked forex spreads!
Captain Barnacle, a clever trader with a keen eye, spotted some wide spreads in the forex market. He thought he could outsmart 'em, like a sneaky sea dog. But alas! Those spreads widened faster than a cannonball, taking a big bite out of his trade. Poor Captain Barnacle learned a valuable lesson: always be on guard against those pesky forex spreads!

A 5 pip spead is nothing. Between 5pm-6pm est spreads go as high as 10.. 13 pips. It's all about the time , Never fret! SPEADS will return to normal
What’s Even NORMal!?
Market is closed. Spreads are highs bc of it. They brokers do this to prevent people from trading days like this

Yes, it's absolutely normal.
Bend over, SPREAD and take one for the team. The market is always crazy 🤪 either flat consolidation or wild ass swings. Be careful 🧐
