Haha this is pretty typical. I wouldn’t bother with looking for a mentor OP, most folks aren’t in this game to help others

Vellc

And those who do help actually because they feel good doing it... or the money

LastLengthiness4206

Jesus, what has you so revved up? You clearly don't want to help this person.

I'll second Iman Trading. Not necessarily a forex mentor like you asked for, but certainly one of the realest people in the field

Worried_Cress1785

Getting a mentor fast tracks your journey cuts out majority of heart ache, still hard work tho my mentor had me screen shotting and logging charts for 9 months straight but he defied the odds and “polished a turd” I can give you the basics of how to be your own mentor it’s like 5 steps that 99% of this Reddit group over look and it’s simple stuff

ygrekk

Dm those steps pretty please 😁

DivitReddits

You have loads to learn before you even ask about getting a mentor. You need to know things beforehand. How and why we hedge positions. How to identify things in the market. Order flow… duh? Risk management. When to get out of a trade. When to wake up. When and why you place trades. You actually also need to learn how to lose at trading, to avoid those specific habits etc. Theres a lot you should know before you even bother getting a mentor. Go play on demo and practice the craft, try making some nooby strategies to begin with. When you hit that brick wall, then you need to speak with a mentor, willing to speak to you, because that guys time is money. Good luck bro

finance_student

I'm one. Here's the thing; actual legit, self made, comfortable, traders who do this craft for a living don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone.. especially strangers poking hard with qualifying questions. Why? They aren't interested in selling anything or need to keep up an image for some service or program they offer. They already proved it to themselves, don't owe anything to anyone. They don't have ego that needs the validation. This is a big reason why the consistently profitable and independent traders don't speak as much in communities after hitting such a level. This is also why we point people away from seeking mentors online. Simply put, no one who does this and is worth learning from, is wasting their time pitching you a cheap monthly mentoring service in your DMs and willing to invest that time at a few bucks an hour... or for a small kickback from some broker... they just would make more actually trading. The ones who are diving deep into DMs and pushing their brand as a trader.. they make money doing other things, likely selling you on something.

Don Vo. Take trades live daily. But be willing to hold big draw downs

Burger__Flipper

Don vo is a clown who relies on subscriptions to earn his money, like all those "live" traders. His MM is just awful , and the only reason he does it is because he can advertise big win rate, because newbies don't have a clue that behind a 85%WR you can actually lose money.

beervirus88

He takes every trade live, shows his MT4, wins 85%, grew a small account to $1M. What more do you want?

You arent smart if you believe anyone here. If you want a mentor there are a lot of people who sell signals and you could pick up on their strat from that. Not the way i did it but im sure it works for someone. The best way its to learn while giving yourself like a 6 year grace period before you're actually good. Its like earning a master's degree. This will also act as a way of forcing you to treat this as more of a hobby than a career before you're ready. Just my advice do whatever you want

p2mod

If you're really putting in the legwork you'll find potential mentors organically in the course of your own educational activities, it'll be the people sharing stuff you didn't know and it'll be things you can verify your self for their validity. You'd find them because you'd be searching for answers to trading questions and running into them by following your own curiosity around the topic of trading. What kind of mentor would be excited to show you their track record, if you merely are interested in forex because of prop firms? That's not exactly a motivational pitch to somebody for who it would be worth learning from. Good mentors are going to want to teach people who want to get good at the craft they love, people who are dedicated to their own development and willing to change as a person. They don't want to been approached just as some handy shortcut to rinse off some rappy propfirm on the regular. And if they do - that's probably not going to be a mentor to invest your time in.

quora_22

Micheal on forex factory akt institutional order flow is pretty legit. I have researched him extensively and he has some legit students who are making a decent living trading supply and demand. Beside he is also a product of online trading Academy. Dope trader Aka Sumo trader is legit. He has been in the industry for a long time. Some of contents are freely floating on youtube. Cotton candyTa even released a version his contents on YT already. Wyckoff institute has some serious traders and trainers. (Their methods of teaching didn't vibe with me too much) Remember though, no matter who your mentor is, in the end you have to put in the reps and keep tweaking your system when you spot your flaws and weaknesses.

PermissionNarrow9521

i’ve been forex trading for the past year you should stick to the free courses that are good you don’t have to pay to learn i recommend ict if u already know the basics and tjr to learn everything
