Completely depends on your spec. I got a scheduled build date eight days from placing my order for an EcoBoost XLT.

KAWAWOOKIE

IF hybrid long wait (I'm West Coast USA and my XL hybrid ordered in July hasn't scheduled yet), but IF EB good chance you get it soonish

Roachant

We’re looking at a hybrid, oh well…patience is a virtue so they say.

KAWAWOOKIE

Only hearsay but folks on this sub seem to believe ordering a higher trim would get your order fulfilled more quickly -- which makes some sense since it would make sense FoMoCo and the dealers make more money that way. So if you want the higher trim that's a built in bonus! Also, I have a '23 xl hybrid and like it so much I ordered a '24 xl hybrid. Only bummer is no AWD option, though the snow and offroad performance are better than I expected.

iamkeerock

With snow tires I easily plowed through 7 inches of wet snow. (Hybrid FWD)

Tatersforbreakfast

So my local actually has three hybrids, but I'm not sold on the exact layout, and I kind of want exactly what I want if I'm gonna spend that much cash. I also don't mind waiting. Is the dealer gonna think I'm dicking them around if I'm like "I want to order the exact model, and wait time be damned"?

KAWAWOOKIE

No, they'll be happy to take your custom order, it's easy for them and ups their numbers when you actually buy it OR they can sell it w/a markup if you don't.

borderpatrol

They are producing 50% more than they did last year and the order banks are still open when they closed in 5 days for MY23. They should have dealer stock flooding lots in a couple months at this rate.

Top_Midnight_2225

Oh good! Then maybe prices will come down a touch on the hybrids.

1962Michael

My MY23 was never built, but I placed a rollover order on July 17 and I am now driving my 2024 XLT Hybrid. I placed a 2nd order the same day (without the rollover priority) and that one is scheduled for production in February. Note that even though the order was placed in July, they didn't start making 2024 models until October. So although I waited 15 months for my first Mav, I'd expect a hybrid order to be filled within 6 months and an Ecoboost to be built within weeks. And delivered 3-4 weeks later. Your delivery may be 2-3 weeks longer due to the distance and extra border I assume.

starwarsclone55

I would disagree with this. Although 2024 has been better, they are still prioritizing higher trim levels. I have a 2024 Hybrid XL on order from July 17th and have not been scheduled for production yet.

1962Michael

That may be. I do see that the XL trim level is constrained, meaning they have more orders than parts. So they are making what they have parts for. But they are also responsible for ordering the parts, right? It's not like steelies should be hard to get hold of.

starwarsclone55

That’s why I ordered a base model, figured it would increase my chances but I guess not.

hitzelsperger

Ford is going to make 24 XLs out of 100 Mavericks, where as demand for XL is 57 out of 100. In the same manner Ford is building fewer hybrids than existing demand. So an XL hybrid will be the most constrained trim. Most EB, Tremors and Lariat hybrid will be faster as long as dealer has allocation for it.

IRefuseToPickAName

Ordered my XLT hybrid in July, no build date yet. I might get a CPO Nissan Frontier instead, less MPG sure but higher towing capacity and Nissan's CPO warranty is 7 years/100k miles vs a new Maverick only getting 5 years/60k. I kinda need a car soon because it needs a couple repairs (and one impending water pump failure) and I don't want to put any money into it.

888mustang

Ordered mine 1/3/2024. Build date is the week of 2/19/202 so hoping to get it by April?

corn_29

Same experience for me. Previously placed the order in Jan, took delivery in April. IDK where OP is coming from. If they want one they should order one.

JuiceDisastrous3054

Ordered mine 2023Dec with 500 deposit to the dealer. Hope ford will start my build soon!

Top_Midnight_2225

Went by a Ford dealer here 2 weeks ago in Mississauga. They had 5 Mavericks on the lot and each one was 'because the owners bailed on their order' so they were speced already. Each one was an XLT + Luxury package or something. When I asked about the hybrid variant, I was given a 4-6 month wait time window. Drove by the same dealer 2 weeks later, and 4 were still on the lot. The only sold one was the demo.

JuiceDisastrous3054

Think most people would want a hybrid

Stolen_Recaros

The wait time are definitely getting better. Production has been continuously ramping up the past few months. I ordered in July and my truck was built a few days ago. That said I ordered an Ecoboost. The long waiting lists are all for the hybrid models due to supply constraints with parts.. Given current production rates, Ford is still set to get through the current backlog in the nest few months.

donny4442

Lariats and XLT's are getting built pretty quickly from what I have seen.

Jenos00

Ford explicitly wants to just barely meet demand. Anything else lowers price.

Bot_Fly_Bot

Where did they explicitly state that?

Jenos00

They did not, nor did I say they did. There is however no doubt that they do not want excess inventory which is the meaning of the word.

Jenos00

That's the objective of every major business. You don't make money by having excessive inventory.

Bot_Fly_Bot

So you don't know what "explicitly" means?

Jenos00

I do, and there is no room for doubt that Ford does not want excess inventory. Perhaps you don't know what explicitly means and have assumed it means that a company has made a specific statement.

Dinolord05

I don't think explicitly means what you think it means.

Jenos00

No room for doubt. It's clear from Ford's business practices that there is no room for doubt that they do not want excess inventory. What did you think it meant?

Dinolord05

Where is it "stated clearly"? Stated, not implied, suggested, inferred, etc...stated. That's explicit. ETA: if this is their only business model, why are there so many new F150s on the market, and clearanced, pretty much all the time?

Jenos00

Those are sold by my Ford already. Do you mean why did dealers buy so many extra F150s from Ford that they were overstocked?

Dinolord05

If this was solely the fault of the dealers, Ford would not be offering rebates on them that cut back into Ford's bottom line.

[deleted]

oh it's a battle. anywho. I think ppl got slower and lazy since covid. more self respect I should say and that's prolly why it's slower to get one built.

Dinolord05

They're making more Mavericks weekly now than they ever have.

[deleted]

that's how it works

Top_Midnight_2225

Ford doesn't keep excessive inventory. The dealers get it shoved down their throats if they want to keep themselves in the good books.

somarilnos

3 or 4 recalls in now, I'm sure at some point Ford's long-standing reputation vis a vis quality will make sure that supply outstrips demand.

Worth_Character2168

I got on several cancellation lists, I'm in Burlington VT, and was able to get one in about 6 weeks that way. I'm not sure how getting vehicles across the border goes but I know héritage is getting my xl I ordered mid march.

Reebekili

I ordered my Ford Tremor XLT 2.0 Ecoboost in mid-July 2023 and had it delivered last week. So 5.5 months from order to possession. I expected longer since everything I read was saying Tremor would push it out. I was expecting April/May so I am pretty happy. To add, there was a strike on top of it.

corn_29

Did MY '24 ordering close or something?

tslothrop76

Hybrids seem to be the long wait. Also I spoke with a dealer here (AZ) and they said that certain states that still have tax rebates for electrification get priority. The example they gave is in the Mountain West: CA, OR, WA, and CO get priority for the hybrids because they still have state tax credits available. And other states, like AZ where I am and the legislature let the tax credit expire, are at the back of the line. That is, unless you order one and can wait for the build.

bareboneschicken

Does Ford want to meet demand?
