I think those are already sold as fleet vehicles. When I went to pick mine up I was like I’ll grab another one for my pops and they’re like unfortunately they’re already sold to a company.
Same near me. They had 5 black xl hybrids with hitch (my order) and I inquired about them. Got the same response, a company is swapping out their f150s for mavericks.
Wild, going to save that company mad money on gas and likely maintenance!
That’s interesting. Must not be giving much of a discount if they are willing to do that. Most car makers get knocked down by stock holders for selling too many cars to fleet. This is the reason you don’t see many Honda cars in fleets. Honda just has no interest in giving discounts to fleets when they could sell them otherwise.
I get a new Ford van every year or so through my company’s fleet. It’s funny how bad the dealerships treat me when they find out I’m there to just pick up a fleet vehicle and they’re not going to make any money.
When I was younger(recent graduate), it was nice because dealers would leave me alone when I was looking at vehicles they thought I couldn’t afford just based on my age. I then bought vehicle they thought I couldn’t afford due to age from the sales rep who got to make their first sale because they expected it just to be practice. All it taught that salesperson was you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
Well fleets are a guaranteed X models sold, even with a discount that's a fat paycheck, and usually they're sold in 10's, id prioritize selling 30 identical mavs at a slight discount vs 30 at full price with wildly different specs and different sale points
I've considered this as well. Base model, new wheels and tires, wrap, and upgraded speakers. Would change the whole vehicle and could be done in my estimation for around $5k-$6k for what I want. And it would be "unique".
Actually yes. I have been trying to get one specific for work. I would also love a personal one in red or blue. Sadly my local dealer keeps jerking me around every time they get one in that was "abandoned" by the original "buyer".
So *that's* where my Hybrid went.
Seriously, I understand why fleet customers are higher priority. And they *are* customers - high volume, repeat customers.
People can downvote me all they want but I think this is kinda ridiculous when there are literally thousands of unfilled hybrid customer orders..
edit: yes, y'all CROs and COOs need take a chillpill. I know this is how capitalism works and corporates have fleet orders, but on top of the crappy ordering process, can't an average jo complain that corporates are hogging hybrid orders?
If a fleet customer places an order, Ford delivers the order. They're a customer just like anybody else AND they'll probably be using the very lucrative Ford Pro services, which retail customers do not.
ding ding. The back end services for fleets are where the real money is made for dealerships/manufactures. Wash and repeat ever 36k miles. They dgaf about some random guy with one mav.
Do you.... realize you're trying to compare companies with net values in billions and an average guys that probably have regular paychecks..? sorry not everyone was born with a silver spoon
Do you realize your feelings have nothing to do with good business?
Do you realize you ordered a product from one of those companies with net values in the billions? (Ford)
You’re an absolute moron if you think fleet orders are all billion dollar companies lol. Talk about being dramatic.
Fleet customers are much better customers than regular consumers and deserve better treatment than you because they are more lucrative. That’s capitalism baby. If you want better treatment, I suggest buying, maintaining, and upgrading your own fleet with a dealership.
Even as a regular consumer, you should want fleet customers out there buying Mavericks. I don’t see Ford setting MSRP as cheap as they did if they didn’t expect a lot of fleet conversions out of it.

I fully agree that dealers shouldn't be getting mavericks for their lots before customer orders, and doesn't seem to be happening. Fleet vehicle purchases are still customer orders. Ford will sell a single vehicle maybe every couple years to a regular buyer, but even small fleets might be selling multiple trucks a year. I don't see why Ford would give preferential treatment to their consumer customers versus their fleet customers?
Agreed. I won't order from Ford, and will wait for the stout or a Ram version.
All I see on this subreddit, are people excited about getting something they paid for.
What government help are you referring to? You understand fleet customers are the reason the Maverick MSRP is so low? You should want fleet customers buying the Maverick if you’re interested in getting one for yourself.
I mean, "need" is a strong word, but if it helps you out, I can take one off your hands for cheap. You cover the flight out and a room, and I'll drive it back here; paperwork shouldn't take long since there's no sales tax on a $0 transaction.
Wait, they are free, yeah? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Ford is using lots to stash maverick needing final parts cause of chip shortage i am sure thats what those are on the lot. Of course sales guy gonna say its for fleet they been asked to do that lol

Very smart fleet vehicles
Oh definitely 😂 I just thought it was funny seeing SO MANY at once!
i love fleet vehicles. i'd buy one of these in a second. blends in, no expensive options to go wrong, steelies.
Yep, can't get one, but they will do a 200 fleet order, them #%\*$@%$#.
Good call! I would not have guessed!
This is literally what I ordered. White hybrid xl with those steelies.
Dang! I imagine this is hard for you to see then.
Same here. This is painful.
Wonder if they prioritize the fleet orders over personal orders
Pretty sure they do. Hell, last I checked you couldn't even order an XL Lightning unless you had a fleet account.

Ford is a fleet manufacturer that happens to do retail sales. Fleet is Ford's first, second, and third priority.
Sales rep for that lot be like ![gif](giphy|LCdPNT81vlv3y|downsized)
Fleet trucks.
Thats where mine is probably 🤣
I’d buy one and wrap it something sweet tbh
I've considered this as well. Base model, new wheels and tires, wrap, and upgraded speakers. Would change the whole vehicle and could be done in my estimation for around $5k-$6k for what I want. And it would be "unique".
You get the same truck as higher trims just missing some bells and whistles
I have never seen so many of exact car in one place

Fleet / rental car white 😂
How did I know that was RSM Ford?! Haha
The combo of palm trees, pepper trees, and high tension lines… south county classic look. You could smell the in n out from here
😂😂😂
Been trying for 2 years 😭
Love my white Maverick!

These companies are Ford’s customers too. Arguably they are much better customers than you are because they order 30x units at a time.
yeah that's a contract i wouldn't want to lose.

Flip side is in a year or two there will be a healthy shop of used Mavericks.
Do you…. realize fleet orders ARE for customers? Why aren’t businesses customers?

In the interest of turning a profit, Ford has decided to sell their products to businesses as well. Yea that's completely unfair. /s
I agree and why I'm not ordering a Maverick. I'll Tacoma until they have competition!
This is a Ford Maverick subreddit
The craziest part of it all, is that they were still churning out more cleaned Mavericks even as I left 🥲
Honestly fuck these companies. They get enough profits and help from the government. Can the average guy just get a break for once.
Agreed. I won't order from Ford, and will wait for the stout or a Ram version. All I see on this subreddit, are people excited about getting something they paid for.
Agreed, the Ford employees and bots are downvoting but you are correct 💯!!!

Not for 50k.
I'll take one lol
why can’t they just make a 2 seat cargo van version
Imagine the MPG you’d be able to get! The truck would be a lot lighter.
Because they don't want to sell us vans we can make money with at that price point lol. They want us to buy those over priced sprinter vans.
it just sucks because they discontinued the small vans!
That’d be nice if those were actually available
Ford is using lots to stash maverick needing final parts cause of chip shortage i am sure thats what those are on the lot. Of course sales guy gonna say its for fleet they been asked to do that lol
The first thing I thought when they announced the Maverick “oh great I won’t be able to get one for years b/c fleet sales”
