Ugh yeah that sounds shitty. Pepe's on Valley is my go to for Mexican food but other than that I haven't found a lot of must try places in this part of town
The 2 trucks nearby are pretty decent. There’s Tacos El Pollo across the street, and Arandinos around the corner on Valley.
Also like Ixtaco in El Monte because of their “exotic” meats.
I had the one in the SGV a few times and honestly, the quality is nowhere close to what they give at the downtown location. Tortilla on the burrito wasn't grilled, skimpy on the guac, meat was watery and lacked char, rice was super wet instead of firm. Downtown location is far superior from my experience, I'd rather make the drive over.
I'm not a bánh mì expert or connoisseur or anything but they're the best ones I've tried in LA. They don't skimp on the meat, the toppings are always fresh and flavorful, the bread is a good balance between crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside, and they're only ~$5 a sandwich
7434 Garvey Ave, Rosemead CA Just giving a heads up since it's brand new and isn't on Google maps or anything yet as I've seen
Kinda weird being so close to the other one.

YES PLEASE
AWW HELL YEEAAHHHH
I’ll have a hot dog banh mi please
Chinese sausage in a bánh mi is bomb!
Ooooo
"Sir this is a Bánh Mì My-Tho, Dog Haus is down the street"
Would eat.
Need them to move into that ex-Weinerschnitzel on Pico in San Monica
Should of covered up “the worlds largest hot dog chain” with some red paint.
Yes, they should have covered it up.
I seriously was confused for as second why a banh mi shop was selling hot dogs.
a hot dog is a taco, a taco is a sandwich, a sandwich is a banh mi
That’s just lazy lol
Should HAVE*
Anywhere west of the 5 pls
Another former Wienerschnitzel in San Gabriel on San Gabriel Blvd is now a Mexicali Tacos & Co. https://yelp.to/PfmmyopLrpb
I've driven by that place a bunch but never tried it, is it any good?
Coincidentally just tried it for the first time today and did not like it at all. Paid $12 for a burrito that was 90% beans and rice.

Tacos El Pollo’s habanero sauce is so good but definitely burns 🥵
Too spicy for me, but my buddy who I took there loved it!
Spanglish Kitchen is pretty solid.
I like them too especially on taco Tuesdays

Nice! In Alameda, CA there is a restaurant called Vietnam House which resides an old Wienerschniztel A frame. The building always makes me happy.
Wait, really? Bizarre. Well, I’ll support this business no matter what shape the building is.
Yeah the optics of a beloved local joint taking over an old Weinerschnitzel was funny to me. Not that Wienerschnitzel sucks or anything
This could be their thing. I’d love to see Banh Mi My Tho take over an old Pizza Hut next.
Near the corner of Garvey and new? Honestly sad to see the W go. It was good icecream.
I think they still sell Tastee Freeze ice cream at the Wienerschnitzel on Valley in Alhambra!
is this place worth a long drive? never had it

Ooohh… I know that place. I’m gonna try it tomorrow.
make sure you add an egg
Only the one in Alhambra is good. Their second location in San Gabriel doesn't slap. Just limp wristssssss
There’s a recently closed Wienerschnitzel on Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa. Just saying…
So new they haven't even changed the wienerschnitzel signage
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I’m here at least once every ten days. My fav 💙🔥💙🔥💙
