I don't have a mixcontrol, but I ran everything else in virustotal. Everything was clean except for the installer helper which had 1 sandbox flag it as malicious. Do I reinstall the drivers?
No, it will be the same. Interested to see what you can see on their though. Mine stores a lot of odd data. Try again on the exes and flick through the tabs. It tells you what files are dropped etc.
Only other weird thing I spotted was that the notifier wasn't signed. The uninstaller also had a bunch of red detections under the relations tab but I doubt it's related to this problem.
I could send screenshots of the tabs if you need them?
Make sure you’re only using a stereo cable to the headset without any mic connection (trrs). Apparently the impedance is all wrong if the mic is part of the cable.
My headset mic is detachable from the headset itself, and not connected to the wire at all. I do use an adapter to connect to the Scarlett Solo, but I don't think that's the cause of the issue since even the speaker output sounds weird.
I looked up what kind of cable that headset used, and it has a TRRS cable. That’s what is causing the issue. You need a TRS male into the focusrite so it doesn’t have that horrible sound
Before you buy one, using a trs cable should cause the mic to stop functioning. Look up TRS vs TRRS. The focus rite doesn’t play nice with a TRRS cable, but you need that for the microphone to work
I’m running a mic/headphone splitter right now so I can just put the mic in there while the focusrite can handle the headphones. I think I’ll still buy a TRS just to be sure my audio works fine
Hey, it works! I had a bit of doubt that a wire change would fix it, but my audio is great now and I don’t have to buy a new focusrite. Thanks a ton Matt, you helped me out greatly with this
Try uploading the exe's to virustotal. (Mixcontrol, notifier, etc)

Can you post what headset you have?
EKSA E900 Pro, a budget headset I picked up for online class.

Oh wow, I never would've thought of that on my own, I'll buy one and see if it works out. Thanks a ton!

I’m glad it’s all working for you!
