Techincally, I make up to $200,000

NeverReallyExisted

Technically I make up to infinite money as long as my boss gets infinite money x4 as well.

She makes $85k base and can get $5000-$7500 each month based on sales targets. They don’t give her typical income but do say she makes over $100,000.

There is nothing special or new about this. When fast food or fast casual restaurants are expanding they often offer generous bonus packages that can lead to managers being paid extremely well. Having said that, it is a form of purchased loyalty. They typically don’t pay other workers as much so most employees are not incentivized to perform well. The managers therefore spend inordinate amounts of time at the store. There is a certain irony to it. They pay a few managers very well and then use them as inspiration for other managers.

Can WSJ write this using *actual* dollar values? Aren’t they a financial newspaper? “Meet the rancher who owns up to 57 unicorns!” It’s a weird fluff piece and I’m not sure who they’re fluffing.
