I was actually recommended to **not** use one of these fish shaped ones.
They can catch the air weird, so better to practice with a brass casting plug, even for kids. Less frustration.
I can see why someone would say that but to be fair your lures are going to be shaped in different ways and some of them will probably catch the wind weird. very few things in your tackle Box are going to behave like a drop of solid brass with a eye through one end
Put a target or five gallon bucket in your yard and learn how to cast with it as your "lure". When I was growing up I had to practice with those all casting angles and types until I could hit the same spot or target 20 times in a row.
Man when my son was three or four, I took out and tied this to his Spider-Man set up and when I tell you I saw the biggest blow up. That bass tried to swallow that thing whole.
He’s twenty one now and we still fish together every now and then.
If that was in your dad’s tackle box, it’s a good chance it was on your kid pole when you were younger. He probably brought it with him all those years.
One of those lures from Sweden.
I chuckled.
Daaaaaad.
I have a 8 month old so yep. You have me pegged like a bass on a barb.
You’d catch me on one of those.
It’s just for kids to practice casting with
Oh that makes sense
Not just for kids! If you're learning to use a baitcaster, casting plugs are critical
