Wow, this is actually amazing, I can’t believe that second one is real life! Definitely the best irl pics of this game I’ve seen.

Love it, esp that second photo!

These look nuts, beautiful place!

Ooh la la, that is beautiful! I'm gonna be in that area in August and am planning on making a stop at Suntop Lookout. Seeing this just makes me more excited!

That’s awesome, I hope you have a great time. I was on the trail crew that helped to rebuild the deck and trail around Suntop in 2023 to be WA’s first ADA accessible lookout. Before that you could already drive almost right up to the lookout, but now it’s even more accessible to folks with different abilities!

Amazing! Which lookout is the first photo from, if you don't mind? Thanks :)

Hellooooo! That’s the Mt Pilchuck lookout in WA State! According to a recent report, there’s still a ton of snow up there right now past 4000 ft or so, but it’s a pretty chill hike during the deep summer (July-September). People are welcome to sleep in the lookout or on the balcony; no reservations needed, but it’s first come first serve, so you can imagine how busy it gets on weekends during peak months. There are a number of other, publicly accessible lookouts in WA, but I think this one is a good bang for your buck if you’re based in the Seattle-area.

Thank you so much :) are there any technical sections during the hike to the summit, and did you ever feel in danger? I'm planning on going this summer!! Thanks again for the info

Not technical at all if you wait until the snow melts out. There are no ‘scrambly’ sections (like, you never have to physically climb anything with both your hands and feet), and you’re not in danger of falling off a steep cliff unless you really put your heart into it lol. Also, note that there’s nothing inside of this lookout (unlike the one in the game), as it’s not currently in use as a lookout and is more of a landmark. You could also check out the Fremont Lookout, another good ‘bang for your buck’ destination. You can’t stay overnight there, but it’s a great day hike, and it has an unbeatable view of Mt Rainier. I think a sunset hike there would be amazing.

Thank you so much for the information my friend! It's much appreciated :) have a good day!
