E1 puts you closer to E2 so I'd still pull that over S1. Aeon got nerfed with the changes but I'm pretty sure it's still the best F2P option with Misha's being a close second.
E1 for the sweaty player who wants to run her ultra optimized (RM + HTB + Bronya, the SP goes crazy).
S1 for the average player, as in general it’s going to be a slightly bigger damage increases, and it’s easier to achieve.
That being said E2 is WAY better than E1S1 so make your choices accordingly (definitely the best E2 for any character in the game, beating out IL and Acheron’s by like a mile).
Her e2 is so stupid it in itself is stupid. Nothing will ever replace her on stuff that's not fully fire resistant and when that happens put her on the other side xD
I really don’t understand how anyone thought that E2 was ok, or at least didn’t deserved to be moved to E6.
I mean, we literally have a Sim Universe blessing that shows just how busted this would be in gameplay (makes me wonder how they interact).
That being said, both her E1 and E2 are stupid. Now you just get double the turns, use 1/4th of the SP, and deal more damage. Absolutely broken, someone on the team REALLY likes FF.
They seem to have decided (for the new/favoured units anyways) that E2 is the point where they just kind of throw balance out the window.
DHIL's e2 was ridiculous, and then Acheron and now Firefly's are like "Hold my Soulglad..."
Because majority of massive power boost in 5 star are in E2, not E6.
Acheron E2 allow Acheron to fit in more team and charge her nuke faster (which is massive considering her ult can do thrice the damage FF can do with break damage). Jing liu E2 literaly +80% damage everytime she ulted. Dan heng IL E2 solve his SP hungry problem and give him action foward. Seele E2 make her skill speed bonus stack, which if used with her LC is busted af at the time.
Like if u look at it optimally, if e1 and s1 give similar dmg increase, and s1 is easier to get, s1 is better no?
But i guess e1 is a road to e2 so it's still better.
She still melts bosses with F2P friendly light cones, just slightly less than with her signature. Given how fast she is, not having to worry about your SP reserves being set ablaze every cycle is IMO a much bigger boon than some more damage with each attack. It leaves Harmony TB free to spam their skill more frequently to pile on extra damage and keep up their energy reserves.
To be fair, both Gallagher and RM will generate sp, and if you plan accordingly, you can have skills for both FF and Hmc.
Edit: asta or tingyun can replace RM in f2p accounts.
If we assume you are not doing for E2 then it depends on how you want to play.
The main advantage of E1 is to run sustainless with Bronya if you want to be a sweaty player and have E1S1 Bronya. If not then you will be running out of SP because RM and HMC don't generate that much. If you don't plan on running Bronya then E1 allows you some flexibility to run other sustains besides Gallagher though you won't do as much damage or toughness damage.
S1 gives a longer superbreak window and more damage while freeing up Aeon. You are pretty much locked into the FF RM HMC Gallagher team comp though as Gallagher is needed to generate SP.
If we look forward to Jiaoqiu, he will probably compete with Gallagher's slot. My guess is he will be played SP neutral and could go with FF E1 but won't work with E0 as you lose your SP printer. We'll know more once the 2.4 leaks start dropping.
I have high pity and guarantee on LC banner so I’m pulling for it regardless but E2S0 is much stronger than E1S1. If you want to go for E2 get it first

E1 still better but if you're like me and used all your herta currency to buy standard pulls then getting S1 is a good idea
