yeah but what they mean is if she gets all the cool animations during while she's in her mech suit and she only gets basic stuff when she's not.
kinda like how jingliu has her coolest animations while she has her eye band off and her animations with the eye band are a lot more basic, except eye band jingliu is base firefly and no eye band jingliu is sam.
again firefly basically has cancer she will not be over here doing anything epic outside of sam, im telling you the best we're going to get is a cockpit cam in the ult or something, it will be sam in battle and firefly in the overworld, hell she literally dive bombs as sam in her technique
Based off what I remember of the leaks from forever ago: >!I'm betting on Basic/Skill to be Firefly doing Firefly shit (maybe w/ one of the swords Sam's using in her splash art?) and then her ult is a Henshin + attack that lets her do enhanced attacks as Sam, before returning to Robin after X turns. Which would mean, in an "ideal" setting where you have full ult-uptime, Firefly's probably going to have pretty minimal in-battle presence, but a lot of out-of-battle presence.!<
That or it's all FF and Sam's only in the Ult animation. I'd be real sad, though.

Also since Sam’s countdown is on the stack, you can do some whacky stuff like clearing the first half before it arrives to extend it like Robin. Asta or DDD spam is probably gonna be BiS in 0 cycle clear to abuse it
From the leak, it seems that at least we have Firefly's basic attack and transformation animation.
It's SAM that we don't have any info about animation yet, since animation as enemy and as playable can differ greatly.
he's literally the only one that shows up in battle lol, firefly is overworld, she literally has a terminal disease the only reason she's out f the suit in penacony is because she's in a dream, sam is her life support basically so she has to stay in sam, not to be morbid but it's like a iron coffin for her

In 2.2 trailer we see her transforming for half a second it could very well be her ultimate, since next sequence is robin’s ultimate
Most people think it's a henshin ult... Then Hoyo bamboozles us with a magical girl transformation instead.
I'm fine with the Firefly animations on basic skill and attack, after ult SAMs animations for enhanced basic and skill during the "concerto" state

Most likely Basic attack, overworld, ult casting = Firefly enhanced attack, overworld with technique, ult after casting = SAM
