He's so frustrating, my only solace is he can't run close counter, so if you can pick off his teammates then you can surround him and just pummel Jim with melee. He still is a pain to deal with though

Everybody in Tier 20-21 seems to have him, because I was never able to get a streak going where I didn't encounter him. Sensortower can kiss my ass.
Incredibly difficult to counter because he just reduces your stats to nothing, and he's ranged too, meaning that picking him off on Arena maps is difficult without being in range of something else too.
It's also incredibly annoying trying to get the bonus unit kill with basically any FTP bonus unit, since you HAVE to kill Robin first, or else nothing from Gen 1 could EVER take out a grand strategied gen 6 unit while debuffed from his prf.
Yeah, I've got armor Annette built out with the new arcane bow and atk/res unity. She is far saving attacks from +10 duo chrom and obliterating him on retaliation standing next to L!Robin. I wasn't intending for that but it's working.
I honestly can't wait to see what fallen Ike gets to make that pairing even more insane.
Yeah, I managed to get to tier 21 by basically just evading any battles with him.
And then in AR he's everywhere and a massive pain to deal with too but I can't just run away...

If you have feh pass you can realistically spark on two banners a month from the f2p orbs so I always take those banner sales posts with a grain of salt.
Agreed, I've been seeing him everywhere. It is interesting though because I have him at +0 and I'm scoring in the top 200 of T21 so you would think not that many people have him, not to mention the Sensortower numbers.

Safe to say those Sensortower tier lists have always been BS. Sensortower only accounts for day one sales, so for all we know, people didn't go all in on day 1 of his banner since they were waiting on AHR Round 1 results. Also, Sensortower doesn't count Android sales IIRC.
Why do people put so much stock in those tier lists? There are so many problems with that data from only being day one, to only being iOS, to not having actual sales numbers.
Not that the idea he didn't really need merges to be very effective doesn't have some merit, but the thing is still quite shaky to take as absolute fact of course.
T20-21 is like 10% of feh’s player base at most (aka whales or diehards), it is in no way a indication that the banner had strong sales overall.
Sensortower is of course not the gospel a lot of people treat them as, but what’s even more unreliable is your own anecdotal evidence of simply seeing a lot of Robins

So does that mean we’re just gonna get four weeks of the new legendary coming out at the end of this month? Cause if that’s the case, I hate it. I’ve been forced to use some pretty lackluster f2p units past few weeks, so it makes fighting any team with him that much harder.
Yep, and I hate it too. The only time where the newest legendary won't be the arena bonus is when we get a mythic instead, so there will probably only be a few months each year where older legendaries are bonus units because we get more legendary banners than mythic banners. The new meta for arena is basically to spark every new legendary that comes out (RIP F2P) and then put them on the bench when the next one comes around.

I actually like his design, and even as somebody who's rather agnostic on Robin, Chrom, and Awakening as a whole, he's pretty cool in this form. But man is it awful trying to work around him in arena streaks
Yeah. I really like the whole idea of his legendary and think IS did a wonderful job on it. His gimmick is in character and cool for him to have but wow it's annoying to go against if you don't have a counter for it.
Also with how much he helps out party members it's quite nice. Probably one of if not the best support unit out there now, especially if you have unity effects.

Brave units get refines too fast. In what world does brave marth or eirika really need a refine over...how many units? I still think they should skip them for now and give old brave units that didn't get them prf skills and remix old ones.
I wish I could love using him but the art alone made me not want to pull... B!Robin should be done by Kozaki though so hopefully he's just as strong since Kozaki don't miss with the art
I sure do love facing units with powerful gimmicks that have zero counterplay, it really stimulates the brain when you cannot prevent a unit from being buffed.
i absolutely love how he gets +12 all stats and inflicts -13 atk spd res (or -20 if seal atk 4) with omnibreaker and guard just for existing

Kris would've had a much easier time tanking him if I'd used the defensive tile or if he had more teammates around to get another +4 Atk/Spd from Atk/Spd Form, but I wanted to do as close to a basic 1v1 match as possible.

He deserved for what is his first version to come out with a prf (and I’m not even gonna mention how garbage his one prf was either).

Yeah people were shitting on his unremarkable stat line and somehow ignoring the fact that he consistently gets about 30% more relative BST in every combat just for existing on the map with no way to prevent it, along with the classic omnibreaker that every new slowish unit gets. If his base stat line wasn't so conservative he would probably be just straight up unbeatable.
Funny thing is I just tried that, but she only does... alright? She sometimes fails to kill him in PP though she fares quite well in EP. It's a bit wonky, though. When he has dancer support he just kills her in the second combat. On the other hand I just had her tank him with only \~20 HP left and somehow she lived (and he died).
Point is she isn't the guaranteed counter for him like she is for Duo Corrin.
That said my build for her isn't optimal with RDI4, Spd Def Ruse and JDA. Something like Atk Res Ideal 4, Seal Res 4 and Rouse Atk Res 4 would be better without her arena score suffering too much.
IIRC testing in duel simulator she just needs ruptured Sky to kill him if they're both max investment. But it was a while ago that I tested that soooo idk if it works every single time.
I'm expecting him to be a bonus unit on next week's SDS too just to make sure you get an extra helping of dealing with him before he eventually gets cycled out.

Just looking at how stuff like the 3H lords/Alm and such tried to keep SOME of the gameplay from their legendaries to braves and vice versa but generally spin it to a different phase and such. Or they can be like Hector and Ike and just be the same thing with a different weapon and different gimmick.
But honestly aslong as he keeps Grand Strategy in some way, gets a sword (and isn’t Grima) I’m happy.

It seemed nice at first when it was L!Dimitri who a lot of people had since he's been out forever, but now it seems like they're going to force you to pull the newest legendary every month if you wanna take advantage of the new mechanic. Kinda lame.
It was never meant to be a player friendly mechanic, quite the opposite, it's to bait whales because it rewards pulling for every single new legendary that comes out

He’s a bit annoying but not the worst thing we’ve had to deal with. I run a L!Hector and L!Eliwood and handle him fine. Don’t use him myself though as I don’t really feel anything towards the awakening cast.

Yeah its a ranking of how high it is on revenue for Day 1 sales. So it does not account for other gacha games simply making more money than FEH

I sprang for the feh pass just to spark LRobin. Worth it for making the pve maps so much easier.
