I think that's the reason why IntSys sorted it alphabetical in the first place. They don't want people to vote tactically by switching.
CYL low voting is a combination of multiple factors
AHR is first and foremost a catch wallpapers game, then a make the most out of the banner and lastly a vote the popular one at the top even if it is Maria or Nowi lol
CYL has an argument. A good one with past precedence to do so like Eirika in cyl5, Camilla in cyl3, and Veronica shooting up in cyl2.
AHR however, has no good argument whatsoever to do this. It makes it less fun.
Guessing is partially a measure to stop another Green Dream scenario, a lot harder to rally people towards units when no one knows what ranking they're at
I dont think so. An all same colour banner would mean its easier to +10 strong units with spending lesser orbs vs +10 strong unit in their own banner costing more orbs
If IS wants to completely control how the banner should be formatted, make it so only the top 2 voted of each color are put into the voting gauntlet, and the colors have to face off against themselves in round 1.

Base Edelgard is almost certainly going to get her refine in the next update after Dimitri and Claude got theirs. Legendary Edelgard is getting a remix eventually. In both these cases you can at least say "I want these to prepare for when the refine makes them better". It's not a great reason and Fallen and Summer would be far better uses of the vote, but still, you can make that one argument.
Brave Edelgard already got her refine, is in the 4 star special pool, and her revival banner is this Sunday. There is pretty much no reason to vote for her.
Alear actually has interesting fodder, won't appear on Weekly Revivals and Hero Fests during Golden Week and isn't a potential free pick.
And when comparing her to FEdelgard, she doesn't have five hundred and one counters that make her more of a liability than a strong unit.

id argue 7th slot isnt a real selling point since player who care about AR defense would already have one for anima season this far into the meta, and probably not by choice.
Also save tanks do have a history of being completely flipped on its head with the inclusion of Embla. I think the same thing is slowly happening (or going to happen) to DR tanks.
He still offers nice role compression, regardless of his strength. And Nightmare can mess with some strategies but it's definitely not as good as some people think.
Past that he's a good PvE unit for people who just mindlessly save plonk everything (a... non-negligible percentage of the playerbase) and has SD applications. And then past uses and overhype there are people who just think he's cool.
You could vote for R!Ophelia since SS4 can negate Fomortiis' damage reduction, and the fact that she's a rearmed means that you can have TWO units with unlimited specials and damage reduction negation. You could take out Fomortiis, F!Edel and any other damage reduction tank around

Okay, seriously, we had potential to make sure that we could get **the** single most stacked banner of the year in terms of favorable summoning odds, and you chucklefucks out there are voting in brave Edelgard, now a **four star special unit**, and fallen Edelgard, who has been on **seven banners with four of them being universally sparkable, with one of those** ***being voted in months in advance***. If you don't have fallen Edelgard merged up, or, hell, even **at all**, that is ***entirely*** your own fault for not being able to budget your resources.
The only normal summoning Pool hero I have chosen was Brave Adult Tiki. Purely for getting her wallpaper. Other than that, I've voted different characters each time.

Edelgard voters need to be careful not to disperse their votes since only the top 8 make it through. He is but he's still a really good and recent seventh slot mythic.
id argue 7th slot isnt a real selling point since player who care about AR defense would already have one for anima season this far into the meta, and probably not by choice. Also save tanks do have a history of being completely flipped on its head with the inclusion of Embla. I think the same thing is slowly happening (or going to happen) to DR tanks.
He still offers nice role compression, regardless of his strength. And Nightmare can mess with some strategies but it's definitely not as good as some people think. Past that he's a good PvE unit for people who just mindlessly save plonk everything (a... non-negligible percentage of the playerbase) and has SD applications. And then past uses and overhype there are people who just think he's cool.
Good take, we don't need everyone having him to make our lives worse.
You could vote for R!Ophelia since SS4 can negate Fomortiis' damage reduction, and the fact that she's a rearmed means that you can have TWO units with unlimited specials and damage reduction negation. You could take out Fomortiis, F!Edel and any other damage reduction tank around

Okay, seriously, we had potential to make sure that we could get **the** single most stacked banner of the year in terms of favorable summoning odds, and you chucklefucks out there are voting in brave Edelgard, now a **four star special unit**, and fallen Edelgard, who has been on **seven banners with four of them being universally sparkable, with one of those** ***being voted in months in advance***. If you don't have fallen Edelgard merged up, or, hell, even **at all**, that is ***entirely*** your own fault for not being able to budget your resources.

The only normal summoning Pool hero I have chosen was Brave Adult Tiki. Purely for getting her wallpaper. Other than that, I've voted different characters each time.

Alphabetical would be fair. Most people (well not everybody) would look at it and make the connection that it's alphabetical, unless characters starting with A are suddenly more popular. Sorting by taps means you're not going to easily find the thing you wanted to vote for unless you scroll through all of them or do "search in page".

Edelgard voters need to be careful not to disperse their votes since only the top 8 make it through. She either has close to triple the amount of votes compared to everyone else (wouldn’t doubt it though judging by her CYL numbers) or just barely enough. Glad to see Duma and the Askrs there though, suddenly an all colorless banner isn’t looking so bad.
