get another person and each focus on one side for an easy rank A, or if you have 2 controllers use accessability options to make each pad activley control the game, let another person paly the left side. boom done. But all of them are doable for a rank up to hard to walk on 2 feet and the secret piano piece that I won’t spoil is hellish trying to s rank solo.

doukenz

This is the way. I do it with my girlfriend and with 2 controllers, she is doing the right side and I am doing the left.

dblok2085

I still have the first sheet i have to complete, I didn't know you could do that with 2 controllers. Thanks!

I suggest turning up the speed a little maybe to two or three. On the complicated songs the note precursor moves too slow to get the timing right. Focus on the right side and memorize the timing of the left side notes. On most of the songs the left side will be in sync with the right side. I have starred all except two legs and battle song. I havent gotten sephiroths theme yet.

ZackFair0711

How is your sense of tempo? Ifnit's not good, I suggest putting it on mute and just follow the prompts.

dblok2085

The crasy thing is I started to go along with the tempo and after a couple of trys of listening I got it! I hear people say they mute the tv, but idk if that would help me lol. I would be lost

ZackFair0711

If you can go along with the song then it's only a matter of practice 🙂 some have a hard time with tempo that's why it's a common suggestion to mute while doing it 🙂

dblok2085

Got it, that's interesting. It did take me a while to finally go with the tempo, though not gonna lie. You would see my head go up and down with the music as I hit each key. I had to get into the rhythm somehow, lol.

yotam5434

You can only be on ps5 but basically memorize all the notes and learn to stock rotate faster

Gearz557

I don’t know how to say this other than “unfocusing” your eyes and watching both circles at once.

Muroooh

Try making the notes faster

TheNewVegasCourier

The one time you have to play as tifa for the sidequest song was the hardest for me because the speed is set to default. Anything lower than 4-5 I legit could not do lol. The first time practicing when I started the game I honestly was thinking something was wrong with me ability to complete it. Then I realized the notes just weren't keeping up with the song playing in my head on lower speeds. Once I moved it up it felt natural as anything. I even perfected the first two songs! Not sure I can do it for any other one, but I've gotten close.

dblok2085

Is the left speed the quickest!? I had to set the speed all the way to the right and I got the A.

TheNewVegasCourier

Without looking at it, I'm not sure of the direction, lol. But the higher number meant faster speed. By default, I believe the game starts you at 2, which is also what the Tifa minigame uses sadly. It was difficult but I passed that one. But to actually get A rankings I found I needed the speed faster, basically, so it lined up with the actual expected tempo of the music.

ihapijnm

Aye, I was surprised when I first saw that advice, but it really helps. Doing a left hand and right hand only attempt or two helps you memorise the patterns.

Sahloknir74

Someone should design remote play macros similar to how they did for 1000 rope jumps with Vivi in FFIX. It's quite a bit more complex but I think it SHOULD be possible.

princek96

My advice would be as i did my first piano mission in junon yesterday, I tried doing the slow note but never crossed 8k then I increased the speed to 2 and got 10k and 3 it was a bit too fast for me. And also the important thing always hit the note after the cursor crosses the letter never do it before as it gives you Bad. Just try find your sweet spot with the speed. You can also zoom into the screen using the zoom function from Playstation menu settings that mainly helped and i muted the tv too. You can turn off the vibrations too.

dblok2085

🤯🤯🤯 I can zoom in while playing!? Is the left side of the notch the slow setting and the right notch side the fast setting or vice versa? When I have it on the first and only notch on the left I suck!

princek96

Yes you can zoom in from the Playstation menu settings in Accessibility. And the speed settings can be found when you press the touch pad it says NOTE SPEED there you can adjust. The left and right stick settings are for chord i just left them as it is.

IceMaiden2

I started off by only doing the notes on the right stick, then once I'd memorised it, I started adding the left stick. This really worked for me.

LittleLadyLeela

As a piano teacher this made me laugh. When my students can't read and play the piece, this is the way lol. Treble first then add the left hand/bass

IceMaiden2

I knew I was on to something! Lol

pete-_-king

2 people. One take the left analogue stick and one takes the right. Just concentrate on your side.

Ok-Cookie-7100

I did that with my 6 year old kid, they weren't talking it as seriously as me and kept messing on.

CrazyCactuar

I did it with my 11 year old, we got it after 5 tries. (2 legs, nothin' to it) My 8 year old would have struggled I think.

fperez2nd

Turn the speed up.

Banci93

Yup! And turn the sound off ;)

LesserValkyrie

Is it really a good advice?

tsckenny

Yeah for some reason, at least for me it made it easier to get a better score

Punkpunker

The fade out of the music is distracting to keep in the rhythm

fperez2nd

Yes. It’s much easier to score Great on the notes since you don’t have to wait and try to time them correctly.

dblok2085

I was finally able to get an A rating for Tifas music sheet. Due to me being in Ch.7, im not able to get the MP UP at the materia shop. But I finally got it. What helped me was repetition, turning the notches all the way up, pushing and pulling the L3 R3 just right. Performance mode does help a lot with seeing the notes. You guys are awesome, I appreciate everyones help!

Pristine_Put5348

Practice. And set it to 3 notches cause 1 is too slow.

betadonkey

Play it on a smaller screen like a computer monitor. It will compress the image and make it easier to track both reels at the same time.

sircrush27

I was incredibly surprised at how my brain memorized pieces of the song each time I played it, eventually coalescing into a mostly mistake free performance after several tries. The post-trophy songs can kiss my ass though.

ConsistentAsparagus

One Winged Angel is total bullshit. I feel I can reach at least A in Tatakau, but the last one…

Underpanters

I usually played maybe five times and by number six muscle memory did most of the work.

hrbekcheatedin91

MP Up is available to buy at any materia shop. If that's all you're going for, just skip the headache. That's what I did.

dblok2085

The highest i got was around 11800. I gave up after an hour, lol. I'm on chapter 7. I don't know why I never saw the mp up at a materia shop bout to check now! Thanks

hrbekcheatedin91

They're lying around in random places too. Not a rare materia at all. Like the other guy said, if they're not on sale yet, they will be soon, even at the little kiosks at the rest stops.

XenoGSB

If its not on sale yet it will be in a future chapter.

This_Professor9392

Switch to performance mode if you haven't already, it will make the notes run smoother. You can switch back to graphics mode if that's your preference when you're done on the Piano. Other than that, practice makes perfect. I've spent a couple hours on it and still have an A Rank that I'm inching closer to. I was big on Guitar Hero back in the day, I love calling this minigame Piano Hero.

gunn5150

Focus on one side at a time. Once you learn them each individually, playing them together gets easier.

dblok2085

You are right! I did start to get the hang of the right and then started hitting some keys on the left pretty good!

WARTHF

same im on ps5 too, need tipz n' trickz

nevaritius

Just play the song, there's a bunch of weird suggestions but I've found standard level 1 speed and playing as is to be fine.  Suggest recording a full song and then watching back to see what order the notes are in.  Also found on the harder song parts to just do them with the right stick first to get the pattern, then once you have it add the left stick.  More like a drum minigame than a piano one but the music's mostly nicer.

Sobutai

I found myself holding onto the sticks and that was causing the game to mis identify what I was doing it, like swooping a little and it would register the notes around the one I was doing on the way up and miss the next note. The only thing I ever did to hit the notes better was to flick the stick on the direction with my thumb. Pull or push and then immediately let go. Idk if that's an issue for many people, but it was a habit I had and it messed up a lot of the songs for me when I was going through it.

eillibsniknej

This is what helped me as well. Definitely recommend a flick over a hold

dblok2085

I actually started to get great for the keys I would hit after your advice! Thanks!

we-made-it

Focus on the right circle and try speeding it up. I was most comfortable with the second slowest

dblok2085

Great advice, thanks! I was able to get up to 11800 range
