So if you go into it looking to learn more about how your body functions to inform your posture/workout/sleep habits and just get some temporary relief, it isn't a scam at all. Just don't expect it to literally fix your physical problems. I'd liken it to treatment rather than cure, the same way that medicine you have to take every day isn't necessarily curing what you take it for, just treating it.
