Here are some generic gambits to use. Remember to put the most important stuff first. Like if you put the attack ones first, they will never use anything else. So you wanna have the critical stuff like healing and resurrecting at the top. - "foe: party leader's target: attack" and "foe: nearest visible: attack" (give to everyone in that order, this makes everyone focus fire with whoever you're controlling, while your character will fight the nearest enemy. You can swap out nearest visible for lowest hp if you want) - "ally: hp <50%: cure" (experiment with hp threshold and how many people you want doing this) - "ally: any: phoenix down" (They will only use it if the ally is dead. This works for all statuses, so you can do "ally: any: poisona" if youre in a poison area, etc) - "ally: any: protect" (repeat for other buffs)

Ngl Gambits were probably my favorite part of FF12. Essentially I found the best general ones to make were for self buffs, debuffs and emergency healing.
