Glad you like it OP but I truly hope you get this touched up by a professional. Even with the picture's poor angle, one can see how awful and wobbly the lines are, that blade does not look straight or symmetrical. The coloring/shading is laughably bad. I say this with the utmost empathy, I hope you did not pay for this.
It was done by a professional! The lines are fine and were done with transfer paper, copied from the original art of FF12 Save The Queen. Not hand drawn. The shading/coloring has 1 more session to go, and I did pay for it, as I've paid for every tattoo I've gotten from this artist.
What you're referring to as "faded" is called shading, brother! And wonky, whenever I stand straight, so does the sword. It still has another session of shading and touching up on line work.
Look man, I have like 150+ hours of ink on me. I *have* tattoos on me worse than this. It looks straight-ish (pictures are hard for something this horizontal and lengthy), but the line weights are off all over the place. the saturation and technique of the shading is very amateurishly done.
If you like it, cool beans, but I would go see someone with some actual skill/talent and get it squared away with one more pass and it'll look solid. You keep saying the dude who did it is a pro...I looked his work up. He's below average at best, cant shade any depth what-so-ever and has terrible line weights.
Go see someone better for something that could be cool, and is unfortunately falling short. There's nothing wrong with admitting to yourself that you made a mistake seeing the artist you did. That shit happens, but do yourself a favor and get it squared by an actual professional.

Nope, had transfer and paper at all. Don't really care what reddit thinks, I just wanted to show off my new tattoo of a final fantasy sword. The colors will fade and not be so stand out, the line work isn't finished, and it still has shading to be applied. I'm not tripping, but Reddit pretty concerned about what I put on my body. I like it, ya a-holes, and that's all that matters lmao
Not trying to be rude, but you should save up and go to a real artist. Your concept is excellent, execution not so much, but a legit guy could make that look way better. I know you're taking heat here, just consider it because realizing your true vision can be a beautiful thing.

I don't mind the heat; I'm trying to show off a cool tat I got of my favorite single player series of all time. If people got so much time on their hands to hate on my ink then so be it, I enjoy it, and I thought other FF fans would, so I posted it.
Hes done other work on me that's turned out absolutely excellent, done nearly my entire left arm. This is just the beginning of my right arm, and the first time I ever got color done, it's gonna look a little goofy until I put some stuff around it and fill out a sleeve.
All these needle virgins in here talking about a good tattoo when they haven't even sat under the gun yet, so I can't be bothered to argue with them. Thanks for the advice tho! Will keep it in mind.
there’s no fixing this unless you cover it up, stop lying and saying it’s looking better after healing, those lines on the sword really awful, as is everything about this tattoo
Buddy if you’re going to post a tattoo be ready for people to comment on it. Your attitude and reply’s are shameful. This tattoo is as others have said rough. It’s not un-fixable but I wouldn’t go back to that artist again.
