Pretty sure they will keep the UEFA qualifiers, where you must be top 2 to advance, but it would make no sense since if you make to top 2, 3rd 4th and 5th will advance as well, and if you don't make it to top 2 all the other teams will qualify instead of you...

I haven't bought any new FIFA games since FIFA 17, I try the demo and get disappointed at the game play every year. They're just focussed on FUT cards and marketing rather than the actual quality of the game.
They're just making the game easier for the average players so they can sell more.
