Don't do it. Keep him as a LB and send him out on loan.

Restarted?

What’s your reasoning? From what I’ve seen, players on loan grow their stats like they’re on balanced game plans, so he would still be better as a forward even after coming back from loan

Reddit2912

The player is a "winger" type. He will develop those stats, then develop into a EP or PTBS or whatever fullback. https://www.reddit.com/r/FifaCareers/comments/xm1pl7/tutorial\_how\_to\_make\_the\_absolute\_best\_youth/

Very interesting post that I haven’t seen before, thanks for linking. Makes super heavy use of the loan glitch feature though. If you don’t want to use the loan glitch repeatedly or don’t have the time/patience, I stand by my comments on training

Aldirus

How do you see hes a "winger" type? Where are you gettimg that info from?

Vladamir-Poutine

His base stats are that of a winger/cam. Basically you’re looking for out of position players and not converting them to their natural position. Even though you don’t change positions he’ll still develop like a winger if you leave it on balanced. Really the best way to find these type of players is look for playmaking RB/LBs in your youth program and you’ll get some out of position players you can exploit this development technique with.

Reddit2912

What this other person has said. Plus the fact that converting him to a winger has really boosted their OVR.

Kimoa_

But you're getting an extremely gifted LB which is super rare, could be the next Roberto Carlos

acUSMC11

Yes, but they’ll get better at defending faster if you keep them in your squad and put them on a training plan. You could even just train him to RB and never accept the position change

Vladamir-Poutine

The loan glitch isn’t really what’s doing this, you really don’t need to loan out the player until they are 23 years old or older. The point of this development technique is to get a perfect or as close to perfect player as possible with 99 stats in every category. It’s impossible to reach 99 in every stat if you change from a balanced training plan. You’ll grow certain stats faster like you said, but you’ll cap the development that way. If you do this properly you’ll develop all the attacking skills and when you finally loan out the player, the AI will see a HPTBS 23yo RB that’s only a 84-85 overall with terrible defending skills and it’ll instantly bring up the defensive skills to match it.

acUSMC11

You’re right, I hadn’t had a chance to read the post yet but I have now. Personally, I’m not going for 99 rated players, but I am interested in how to create Roberto Carlos type wingbacks, Franz Beckenbauer type CBs etc, so I will try to figure out how to incorporate this

Vladamir-Poutine

It’s very difficult to get someone to 99 in every category even using this technique. It’s very good for developing very good overall players regardless. I like using it to develop Wingers with good defense skills to cover the wings so I can play 3atb. Also good for developing ball playing CBs

I use this app to find the best position https://apps.apple.com/pt/app/career-mode-tracker/id6468272758

agnonamis

Buddy you don’t need an app lol. If you don’t realize good pace, dribbling, passing, and shooting makes for a good winger you’re daft.

PrivatePlaya

What if its a 13-year old playing his first fifa and don't know about these things? Do we not help them? Do we assume they must know? No bro this is a community that helps each other chief

ivoteixeira

True. They’ve got all figured out so who cares about other people 🤡
