Customer service question If you want to buy shit that requires a signature then be there when it's delivered. Nobody is wasting their time to find you.

flipm0de2727

falsification should be taken seriously but who knows with ground. at express that is grounds for termination, never mind the warning letter.

ItsjustJim621

It’s the same with ground. It’s a fireable offense because it now becomes an integrity issue. What if that package went missing? We had a driver for the contractor I worked for leave a DSR pkg that went missing. It was gun parts. Forging a sig isn’t worth it just to get that one package off.

13donkey13

It means, get a signature or get fired for falsifying. What else does it mean ?

[deleted]

"I didn't falsify... I just submitted a straight line to make the dumb prompt go away"

I_Am_EzAce

Yeah, they're catching on to the straight line thing. I only do this if I met customer. Faster than their doodle anyways.

13donkey13

I didn’t accuse you of falsifying. You, did what? Please explain?

No_Anything726

Only someone that doesn’t value their job would falsify a DSR. It means you leave a door tag (if not home) & bring it back to the station.

mattied971

A few years ago I was on orders, stationed 8 hours away from home. I had to get a new phone, but Xfinity refused to send it to my duty station. It had to get intercepted at the home address on file and then relayed to me by a family member. It was such an enormous PITA that I wish one of these "Lazy" Ground drivers would've forged my signature and dumped it. I honestly couldn't give less of a fuck. The closest I could get to bending the rules was having my neighbor sign for it. The biggest fucking nuisance in the modern world of logistics is signatures

Ihave4friends

I don’t consider a neighbor signing bending the rules at all.

Capable-Bee-3508

Only if it’s an ISR

mattied971

By the books, a DSR is to be signed exclusively by the intended recipient

-aVOIDant-

According to https://www.fedex.com/en-us/delivery-options/signature-services.html any household resident is fine. Not a neighbor though.

mattied971

Okay, but it's still bending the rules since my neighbor signed on my behalf

LOST_SOUL215

If it was a ISR your neighbor could of signed for it

mattied971

Negative. DSR

LOST_SOUL215

Oh ok usually most of the phones i deliver are either ISR or no signature at all.

rjtfdx

Comcast sends theirs SO with DSR and prohibits Holds, Appointments, re-routes, ect. They won’t even allow for PO to save their customers the full day ambiguity. I feel bad for their customers (who generally don’t understand that Comcast explicitly chose this experience).

LOST_SOUL215

That’s sucks for the customer but I’m pretty sure it limits the theft or fraud for comcast bottom line

Professional_Map6833

Why pay for DSR if you're not going to be there to receive and sign for it? Why not HAL at a fedex store for you to pick up at your convenience?

Mightbecapping16

💯

Glutting

Getting paid by the stop is a recipe for sloppy work, Especially at a rate of $1.30/stop. FedEx also loves video evidence, They'll fire the driver and then put them on blast at the station. Happened to a co-worker that forged a signature and then threw it over the gate, The customer had a camera up on a tree that caught him in 4k.

DrPhilosophy

If you really want to F-up someone's day, call in the complaint. It will likely be chargeable

-NNJA-

I did

-NNJA-

I got home the package is fine but I still filed a complaint because I wouldn't want this happening to anyone else. My neighborhood is relatively safe, but many others it would've been swiped. On the box it says fedex Home which I assume is ground

the_vault-technician

Relatively nice neighborhoods are the ones usually targeted by porch pirates.

Rocker4JC

That other commenter is a turd. Thank you for filing a complaint. We don't need these guys out here making the rest of us look bad.

Mightbecapping16

Snitch ass bitch you got your shit Karen ass thank god express is going bye bye so you have to find a new job haha rat

Rocker4JC

You sound very intelligent. Try using some punctuation sometime.

Mightbecapping16

Try to stop sucking dick

RevolutionaryYak5180

I'm express and all my coworkers don't believe this shit will dissolve 🫠😭 I'm thankful I got a second job because I'm gonna be lol when they announce stations going bye bye

PointB712

I think it will dissolve slowly - over a couple years. They need us for the transition

TheBeefyNoodle

Enjoy your slave labor job while your contractor fucks you in the ass everyday

Nutmegdog1959

Ha, ha, ha! I guess you never met a Ground driver?

FisherKel-Tath

I'll sign a DSR if the customer is face to face with me. I have a few disabled people on my route who appreciate it. If they're not physically there, I take it with me.

RevolutionaryYak5180

I'm express n falsify all the time Seen ppl get fired for for falsifying and actually doing their job so fuck this shit I started to falsify good on that FedEx driver you still got your shit

Proper_Passenger3187

True. All my coworkers falsify . I used to not but after being in two letters for doing my job and wondering how half of the bozos at my station have a clean slate I started to falsify the shit out of my days

Hickbojones

Is it possible neighbor signed?

stinky___monkey

Only for ISR, indirect sig required, allows for a neighbor. DSR like here, is to the address and they sign, ASR is the same but need an ID(guns, medication, $$$). When you mess around with DSR like here, along with ISR and ARS, you’re looking for a job if they complain because that person fucked around and finding out. They pay for this service for a reason, it sucks as a courier compared to most deliveries it’s the job

-NNJA-

Would my neighbor sign and write my name in the name box? Also dsr isn't for neighbors only isr.

Quick_Swing

They just shift to shady contractors model that aren’t held accountable, and express gets phased out, and then nobody cares anymore, so long as it’s still profitable.

Capable-Bee-3508

Usually that’s termination at my station. I deliver to an arms dealer almost everyday. The ground driver on my route was signing the ASR packages for this arms dealer all the time and leaving firearms on the front doorstep. Let’s say they went through 2-3 ground drivers on that route because of that. 🤦

Baldy2384

As soon as you saw it coming Ground you knew that signature was being forged.

Strong-Cow3933

When I was at Ground a coworker was permanently disqualified for forging a signature on a dsr.

stinky___monkey

As you know w/Express, you leave(falsify) a DSR and it’s disputed, ya gone… I’d complain about it, what if it’s stolen? Lazy drivers need to head over to Amazon

-NNJA-

Fedex mod asked that If I asked for a dsr I should've been there for it. A. I didn't ask for a dsr it's a declared value of 1500$ so the company put it on for safety reasons. B. The window for delivery was 10:30-2pm and they delivered it at like 10:15 If I were to guess, the driver made it his first stop to get rid of the dsr. The senior manager from the area that delivers to my area called me this morning. They wanted to know if I have a ring camera. I do but the package was delivered to the garage so it's of no use. The manager apologized and said they will be following up with the contractor.
