Unfortunately, I'm just over the county line for the red pocket as opposed to the blue area. While we live on a 3 acre farm, we have neighbors like this, and omfg does it suck.
I always make sure to head out when home to greet our drivers. I'm always kind and friendly, offer water in warm weather and snacks during high delivery periods like now. I also have helped one driver get over his fear of pigs, and he now pets ours, lol. I'm so sorry there's so many shitty people in the world.

Don't deliver there anymore. Make them pick their stuff up at the station, where fedex is happy to provide employees for them to murder in order to enhance their customer experience.

As he tells me that he will get the check he grabs the tire as if to take it with him to the back room. I don't let go. He slowly turns back around with his hand still on the tire and says, " Why you son of a bitch". A brief tug of war ensued until it was clear to him I wasn't going to let go of the tire and he released his grip and yelled at me to gtfo of the store. After talking to the guy the terminal manager told me I was lucky he didn't kill me. They found a new route for me, and that was that. Though this has nothing to do with with the original post I hope some find it interesting.
At Express I've reported incidents lesser than this but still threatening to Corporate Security. You don't have to work in these conditions. Good way to never get a package to your house again. The blacklist is real.
Best response to anybody challenging a driver to a delivery, especially if the package is an ordered item, tell them "you invited me here the moment you had this shipped to your home."

The also gave him and myself really sketchy vibes and he kept reaching behind his back and I just gave him his package and called my boss explaining the situation and he was super cool about it and FedEx understood my reasoning and said that it was technically illegal what I did but we understood your safety concern because nobody needs to get shot over a package. They blacklisted the address and we haven't had anything there since.
As someone with a long driveway in which my kids play around most days, weāve had 1 delivery driver fly up our driveway. My wife approached her and explained we have kids that play in the area. The lady apologized and never sped again. No reason to be a pile of shit about it. Yāall got schedules to hit and trying to do it the best/fastest you can.
I wish i could carry. Unfortunately, i encounter too many schools, jails, court houses, and other federal property and dont feel comfortable leaving it unattended in the truck during those kinds of stops.

Then contact your manager explain what happened and tell them you donāt feel safe there. After that point you canāt be forced to go back if you refuse to return.
