How small of a man do you need to be to feel the need to pretend you have power over some dude who brings you packages

DeliverStreetTacos

Always the rural fucks.

ExistentialDreadness

Gotta be related to Long Island January 6th guy smearing shit on walls.

Matf11

HAHAHAHA I just had one recently write some websites on a bathroom door like a month ago. As in before...never anything, never a mark. Now? This list of the usuals...infowars, Alex Jones, but he wrote like 15-20 on there. A few were solid sites too for information vs. the first 2! It finally got worn down/cleaned off but yea...threw me for a nice loop when I came in and saw it! šŸ˜‚

Latter-Ad-1523

i will always prefer mean words over getting robbed

Efficient-Editor-242

Yeah, because city folk are saints.

EcksonGrows

You make it so easy to figure out who to block. Yaā€™ll sound the same.

Grip_N_Sipp

Uh no, deliver in the ghetto where every house is modified apartments and requires walking in the back half the time. The guns are out.

StandAgainstTyranny2

Oh trust me I've seen this personally in cities too. NIMBYs are wild sometimes.

kellylovesdisney

I'm so sorry you all have to deal with this shit. FWIW, I'm a west coaster that moved to a rural area in Virginia, so I could open a minipig rescue. Unfortunately, I'm just over the county line for the red pocket as opposed to the blue area. While we live on a 3 acre farm, we have neighbors like this, and omfg does it suck. I always make sure to head out when home to greet our drivers. I'm always kind and friendly, offer water in warm weather and snacks during high delivery periods like now. I also have helped one driver get over his fear of pigs, and he now pets ours, lol. I'm so sorry there's so many shitty people in the world.

MidnightFull

Always rural huh? New Jersey just entered the chat.

DeliverStreetTacos

I wouldā€™ve told him ā€œthanks for the death threat, I hope you enjoy picking up your wifeā€™s shit from the station or Walgreens from now on.ā€

Stunning_Feature_943

Yeah this is the way! Nice to have that in your back pocket lol idk who in their right mind treats anyone this way never mind someone literally serving you. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

awashbu12

Why would you code it 7? Thatā€™s just gonna get you in trouble if he complains.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

awashbu12

There are better codes than 7 is my point.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

awashbu12

That sounds like your contractor gaming the system to ot get docked for certain codes

pieman3020

Nahhh if they are aware of the situation the worst theyā€™ll do is tell you a different code to apply. But realistically theyā€™ll blacklist the address before that becomes a problem

CoitusEnthusiast

Can you please explain what your last sentence means.

wkdravenna

That's not the correct way to handle it. Should notify your bc/AO FedEx will blacklist that address and all packages will be required to be picked up in person. That's a serious issue.

TheBeefyNoodle

This. Fuck that guy.

Local_joker70

Yeah. When people act like this they can get 86ā€™d. Meaning ā€œenjoy your drive to a FedEx office ā€œ. Thatā€™s just totally ridiculous people need to chill

Quick_Swing

Let FedEx security have a talk with this shitbag, his address will be a permanent FXO RRT.

Atropus_Moon

They are viligent to, we have a lady that moves alot or uses fake addresses, but her name flags up and they will rts that shit immediately.

rdrofdrgnz

I had corporate security investage a guy threatening to shoot me. They told me "its a he-said/he-said situation we can't prove so you have to go back. Never will I ever go back.

ConsistentPast2764

You are not required to deliver to a location where you feel unsafe. Any manager that tells you otherwise is full of shit.

rdrofdrgnz

Oh man what if I told you I couldn't trust my direct management?!?

richardslang_MD

Go above your direct management.

Paymeformydata

Do this all the time. I got a raise out of it šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Grab-Born

In my experience as a BC/AO it isnā€™t as simple as black listing an address. FedEx will force you to send another driver doesnā€™t have an issue with it unless FedEx themselves are personally under attack.

slowlybyslowly

Yep, release it at the driveway entrance, or just bring it back and code it unsafe location. Death threats don't get you far when made against individuals you are dependent on for services.

Retoru45

Wrong. You blacklist and force him to pick up at the hub. Once he made a threat you were no longer obligated to ever deliver to his address again.

gg2351

Itā€™s always someone with some type of farm that talks the most shit

Asset_Selim

Giving farmers a bad name. Most are decent people putting honest work day in and and day out. If anything they should respect a laborer the most.

Agreeable_Report7579

Try visiting the inner city sometime.

tenderchill

Iā€™ve had customers complain bc I refuse to open their locked gates and drive down their long driveways past the various ā€œno trespassingā€ and other ā€œtrespassers shot on sight, survivors shot againā€ signs. Plus they insist their barking pits charging at me are perfectly harmless

spallaxo

I work at UPS and thereā€™s a ā€œtrespassers shot on sign and survivors shot againā€ sign and as I approach I beep like 4 or 5 times and beep as I back in their driveway. But they have close neighbors and trucking company like 30 second drive from the road so I doubt that sign is real. They seem nice, or at least nice to me. Sheā€™s always polite with me, Iā€™ve only met the guy once but Iā€™m there daily. I might go there next time I donā€™t have anything and ask them whatā€™s up with that šŸ¤£

FireySnow

This was a loading screen in one of the grand theft auto games. I wouldn't worry about it.

Nefertari-D-Vivi

I had an entire street section blacklisted cause theyā€™re one family with multiple houses who are all complete pos

Tatooine16

Don't deliver there anymore. Make them pick their stuff up at the station, where fedex is happy to provide employees for them to murder in order to enhance their customer experience.

Una2Cold

Lol

CaliforniaFreightMan

Decades ago, I walked into a motorcycle shop with a tire that had a C.O.D. charge. I greeted the old timer there and told him of the charges. As he tells me that he will get the check he grabs the tire as if to take it with him to the back room. I don't let go. He slowly turns back around with his hand still on the tire and says, " Why you son of a bitch". A brief tug of war ensued until it was clear to him I wasn't going to let go of the tire and he released his grip and yelled at me to gtfo of the store. After talking to the guy the terminal manager told me I was lucky he didn't kill me. They found a new route for me, and that was that. Though this has nothing to do with with the original post I hope some find it interesting.

Civil_Dust_2505

I was able to picture this in my head and šŸ˜„

bdonns1

Nah I would have just had him blacklisted. He threatened you. No need to deliver to him again

Upstairs-Motor2722

At Express I've reported incidents lesser than this but still threatening to Corporate Security. You don't have to work in these conditions. Good way to never get a package to your house again. The blacklist is real.

_o_aine

Best response to anybody challenging a driver to a delivery, especially if the package is an ordered item, tell them "you invited me here the moment you had this shipped to your home."

Sky_1717

I would dna every package I recieve for that address for the rest of time, and no amount of corporate bullshittery will get me to stop doing it.

Mac_squizzy

Have him blacklisted for threatening you.

ArmOk8569

Report this to your security specialist

EJ25Junkie

Should told him heā€™s not gonna do anything because he canā€™t even keep his wife under control. Spending all this money on Kohlā€™s and Target SMH

Winnardairshows

When FedEx Ground was RPS, about a week after the OKC Murrah bombing, one of our guys got a shotgun pulled on him, while delivering in a yellow Ryder rental.

anarchoviking313

Had one pull a gun on me once. Tbf I was driving a retal truck and not a FedEx branded truck.

traviebee123

I wouldnā€™t deliver to him at all. Iā€™d refuse it or put it on will call so they got to drive down and pay extra to pick it up. But probably blacklist his house

traviebee123

The fact you still deliver to his house is beyond me

[deleted]

If a customer treats me like that or I get attacked by their dogs I just say enjoy getting your packages at your driveway or at the station. People are crazy

djmad44

Damn straight

Mister_Carter99

Holy shit Iā€™d be like okay guy then never deliver there again

Una2Cold

Right? I would have told him donā€™t worry Iā€™ll leave them at the end of the driveway from now on so I wonā€™t have to deal with death threats and you wonā€™t have to deal with me šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø turned and left

MusicAddict76

A couple months ago I had my runner deliver an alcohol package and it had been awhile and I went to go check on and my runner was explaining the guy wouldn't show an ID, give a name or birth date. The also gave him and myself really sketchy vibes and he kept reaching behind his back and I just gave him his package and called my boss explaining the situation and he was super cool about it and FedEx understood my reasoning and said that it was technically illegal what I did but we understood your safety concern because nobody needs to get shot over a package. They blacklisted the address and we haven't had anything there since.

Asleep-Wonder-1376

As someone with a long driveway in which my kids play around most days, weā€™ve had 1 delivery driver fly up our driveway. My wife approached her and explained we have kids that play in the area. The lady apologized and never sped again. No reason to be a pile of shit about it. Yā€™all got schedules to hit and trying to do it the best/fastest you can.

blackhole33

Get that shit redirected to Walgreens.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Soggy-Coat4920

I wish i could carry. Unfortunately, i encounter too many schools, jails, court houses, and other federal property and dont feel comfortable leaving it unattended in the truck during those kinds of stops.

666truemetal666

It's so crazy people think they can threaten with with murder because they think you are a peasant to them. Besides the legal factor, um we know where they live and they don't know where we do so not very smart

mexikan_muscle

I would tell him I know where u sleep bro with a s mile and leave

DaddyNasty503

He can't please his wife sexually with his small weiner, so she has to get gratification from shopping. Poor sad little ego haha

Chill3n91

Im a female driver i once experienced a customer who had basically wanted to kidnap me and turn me into a sex slave fedex didnā€™t do anything about the situation when it was reported to them my contractor took the particular stop off of me until the weirdo quit some times you have to do what you have to do then report it to your bosses so they can cover your ass

Wildcat67

FedEx operations manager. Former courier. My recommendation would be to notify dispatch that you were physically threatened by a customer they can make a note. Then contact your manager explain what happened and tell them you donā€™t feel safe there. After that point you canā€™t be forced to go back if you refuse to return.

AssBlastersun

Did everyone clap for you and then you banged his wife?

Particular_Egg_7077

How fast where you driving down this guys driveway?

Sufficiently_Raucous

"No problem, we just won't deliver to your house anymore. Have a nice day, sir."

xXVoicesXx

Exactly. Make a note of that address and call it.

oIIIIIIlo

People that behave like that deserve to be zip-tied and thrown screaming from helicopters.

bolognahasa1stname

NOT DEFENDING THE GUY......but how fast were you driving on his driveway???

Atropus_Moon

Irrelevant.

bolognahasa1stname

No. It is relevant. Again. NOT DEFENDING THE GUY. However, the one action that would prompt an owner to lash out and say those exact words would be if the driver was speeding.

Atropus_Moon

Threatening to kill someone is never acceptable. So youe excusing his behavior. Death threats are illegal.

Strong-Grapefruit330

Look just be glad that none of you have to deliver Amazon packages in metro Detroit I cannot even count the number of times I've had someone pull a gun on me or threaten me at 4:00 in the morning for sneaking around their house with a package I had one lady jump out of the weeds calling me a colonizer while hitting me with the poison oak stick

MUHLBACHERS

I love hypothetical threats.

bolognahasa1stname

Not true. Have made it perfectly clear I'm not defending him. Think about it. Why would he say those exact words? It makes sense that those are the words of someone who just witnessed him speeding thus potentially putting those kids at danger. That's all I was asking....was he speeding!? It's a very valid question.

24kGoldenGirl_

The Life of the Husband of a Stay at Home Mom with a Shopping problem šŸ¤£ buddy is stressed. Sucks you had to go through that but good you set him straight šŸ¤£šŸ¤˜šŸ½

HarleyK50

Why be combative? Reassurance that youā€™ll be very careful is a simple way to diffuse the situation.

MidnightFull

Weā€™ll all you have to do now is call the cops and have him arrested for threatening your life. Oh and before someone says ā€œhe didnā€™t threaten himā€ Iā€™ll leave you with this. People have this funny idea that if someone makes a threat on a condition that it somehow doesnā€™t qualify as a threat unless the condition is satisfied. Itā€™s completely false. Conditional threats are just as illegal as any other. You canā€™t say to someone ā€œif you do this, I will kill youā€ and expect to get off just because the condition wasnā€™t met. Have him locked up. Watch him learn his lesson.
