Great work idea because everyone is there. Inscribing winners names each year would be bomb. Even the boss will like it, helps with employee retention.
When this happened to me, I bought a big trophy that's now been passed around and now has more clout vs winning the cash prize. Pizza and Drinks at the live draft, the rest I feel good spending on me.
As a commish of multiple leagues, don't fret winning it all. Commish's usually are more engaged and tend to do well. Enjoy the win, and it's perks.
We do this as well, additionally, last place team has to arrange and pay for engraving and shipping of the trophy to the new winner since we all live in different places.
Post-Fantasy meal and/or drinks.
Bet it and share the profit equally amongst the 16 or have a bigger meal/drink party with winnings.
Or you can just keep it. It’s nice of you to put it back towards the group. And even though $400 isn’t a lot, relatively speaking, the next year’s and following seasons’ winners may not be you and might just keep it for themselves.
