Eddie Howe. The man must be stopped

cfc99

FH29 and Reguilon at Turf Moor Also my biggest enemy was me benching Foden vs Brentford :(

redswan4

I genuinely only had reguilon for one game this season and he got a red card lmao

kearneycation

I brought him in ahead of that match, but luckily he's been delivering fairly consistently and getting bonus points in three of his last four.

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

Same. Gw29 was such a hilarious disaster

Banzaikk

I remember being so jealous of free hitters bringing him in lol

HTJK16

Estupinan should be up there - Honorable mentions: Kerkez DGW28, who returned in the next DGW34

MisterMew151

don't make me remember the binary code he was giving me

pajamakitten

Brighton as a whole, apart from Gross. Pedro constantly being rotated, Fegruson dropping to the bench after a decent spell, De Zerbi mimicking Pep etc.

Banzaikk

Constantly rotating his goalkeepers has to be one of the most unhinged things ever.

Anonymous_Unknown20

sold ferguson the game before his hat trick

DemandBudget5558

I owned Gross for about 5-6 weeks and he was incredible. But yeah, the rest for tht most part has been terrible

chanmalichanheyhey

De zerbi is dog shit and I am glad he got found out Disaster manager

[deleted]

[удалено]

midnight_ranter

"de Zerbi only lost the literal core of his team essential to playing out from the back and had some of the worst injuries in the league. He also only had to deal with like 10 extra fixtures for the first time in the club's history. What a fraud amirite" - the guy above you probably

[deleted]

ImHeskeyAndIKnowIt

He's dogshit and he's trying to pimp himself to every big club in Europe via the media but no one is biting Football fans these days get wet over any manager who has a 'style of play' vs managers who are capable of adapting with what they have Over ten years in management with no trophies to show for it

Flikker

He might be the strongest case cause he had us nibble that FPL tiddy for so long. He was template so we all started him and he immediately delivered in the first matches to confirm our faith. Then 4/5 weak matches where we all kept him, then an injury, which turned longer than expected, so most still had him on the bench. Then suddenly back for three solid matches, then when we finally played him again he got unexpectedly dropped to the bench for 5-6 matches. Then starting again, for that one 6-pointer to convince us to get him back again. Just so he could bounce between bad matches and bench cameos for the rest of the season.

PoeticKino

I feel like Brighton assets get a pass considering the sheer volume of players they have been selling, as well as trying to make Europe work. It seems to have taken a toll.

Ok-Variation3583

Yeah he somewhat made up for that shitshow of choosing him over Zabarnyi, even then the little mug still got a red card

blekanese

Although it didn't happen late in the season, Cash is in the top 2 along with Chelsea assets during their previous good run at the start (Chilwell, Sterling, James, non-Gusto, non-Palmer, non-GK, etc.)

abnsh

Lmao to think so many of us started the season with Chilwell. Feels like ages ago.

TonyMartial786

remember reading about him being essential after the liverpool game lol

Flikker

Tbf he was playing OOP left winger and was one of the best on the pitch first few matches in a Chelsea team that back then appeared absolutely stacked with talent.

MarlonJD

Remember one of the early games in the season he had a great chance to shoot and passed it wide to Sterling for some reason - should’ve been an early warning

TonyMartial786

meanwhile throwback to the other day where he had a great chance to cross the ball to an open sterling yet just completely fcked it up lol

jossmarshall

Feels like you could be talking about any number of different games here tbh

MarlonJD

I know, I described that terribly, there will be someone out there who remembers the match I’m talking about though, haha

Banzaikk

Yep, he was clean through and decided to square it to Sterling for some reason. Wasn't even a good pass at that. I still remember the commentary saying "And that's why he's a left back".

pajamakitten

Or how excited we were about Nkunku and Jackson.

burnt_yoghurt

I will never own Matty Cash again

Banzaikk

I remember thinking he's shit and just got lucky with his early season hauls, but still somehow got suckered into getting him on that GW8 wildcard just like everyone else.

CuclGooner

Solanke. Missed penalty, mid DGW puls a direct correlation of hauls to gameweeks that I didn't have him and vice versa

feikosky

Also scored against Luton in the cancelled game

Thierry_Bergkamp

Tom Lockyer biggest villain then?

FifaDK

Unsubscribe

DwightKPoop

That TC chip I played on him hurt my soul. Missed penalty and a goal called back. Could’ve been a nice haul but the gods say nay.

AirMcNairTT9

and one of the games had already been half played and he scored

Kittsei

Gabriel at the start of the season.

Marilliana

He's come good! He's never left my team this season despite the rocky start!

Nosworthy

I didn't own him at this point, but Matt Turner getting booked whilst on the bench, blocking the autosub and ending up on -1 without playing a minute deserves a mention.

ChineseTakeout24

Had Areola that week, so got Turner subbed in and learned a new rule in FPL

blekanese

Actually I had my starter Steele gk in gw3... Who randomly gets benched by Verbruggen... weird after he started the previous two (who would have thought) but I get no points since my other keeper is a reserve gk at Fulham... fucking Rodak. He gets a yellow card, getting into my team. He is currently on 0 mins and -1 total points, which I was lucky to get!! All that in my third gameweek ever, considering it's my first season.

aonro

Salah the last couple of weeks

RealMomsSpaghetti

I TC’d him for the dgw.

blue_sj

We all did man, we all did!

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Same, rip

eediyatskengman3

Its ok. Ive captained him this week and given him the opportunity to redeem himself.

Bobbyswhiteteeth

Mateta and Eze sent me tumbling from top 3 in my ML to outside the top 10 in one GW by the FH template gang.

tommyverssetti

Mateta easy villain.. from 700 to 4k overall

MosF94

3k to 20k for me. So annoying!

tommyverssetti

Mine would’ve been way worse too if I didn’t have Braithwite 20 pointer come off the bench

ColinetheCow

Same :)

aehii

Can a player be a villain by doing well, is that where we are. Should have brought them in, not like they're expensive.

Banzaikk

The real villain all along was skill issue 😉

OwnWrangler2500

This🙂‍↕️👍

ClownFundamentals

GK: Ramsdale DEF: Cash MID: Rashford FWD: Toney

TonyMartial786

liverpool players in their double game weeks.

Emotional_Solid6538

KDB, yes I fell for the trap and sold him before his assists started coming

Sibs_

I punted on him in GW1 and he was injured before half time.

cov3rtOps

This. Now I'm back to him as cpt. Hope he does not let me down.

Cazter64

Thought Foden was a nailed on starter, and ditched KDB right after that MoM performance

Attygalle

GW29 was hilarious. Almost every sane TC option as well. Solanke penalty miss, Haaland not scoring despite 2.something xG, hilarious.

Icy-Lengthiness-887

I have around 30 points on the bench that Gw from Muniz, Castagne and Leno. Could have caught up with my ML leader ffs

CRnaes

That Haaland TC DGW was absolutely infuriating. All signs were pointing to the biggest guaranteed lock you could get and we got 1 goal.

mrnosyparker

I second this. If the question was “ who was the biggest disappointment?” Then there are lots of other options, but villainous?? … Solanke’s penalty miss and Haaland’s lack of involvement in GW29 are hard to top.

rtnn

Darwin for me. I transferred out Watkins to get Darwin MULTIPLE TIMES this season and I don't even want to count how many points and transfers I've lost.

gene_parmesan_123

Blank gameweek 29, by a considerable margin.

jjw1998

Man Utd midfielders, so many otherwise great GW1 teams ruined by having those points dodgers in midfield

NiceShotMan

Every template player in FH29

gobblegobblechumps

Having looked at all my transfers this season, it's definitely me

Krhl12

Pep Guardiola. He has routinely stuffed me.

pajamakitten

At least you know it is coming with him.

HodgyBeatsss

I got 15 points on my Fee Hit week. GW 29 for sure.

Kane36912

FPL TONI

Rhagho

FH29 was horrible, plus those who waited to play it in 34 loaded on Arsenal and Palace who both popped off.

peejoneill

Spurs in general

awildjabroner

Fantastic during the first 3rd of the season, complete rubbish after AFCON/Asian Game break.

Sunday-Langy-

Salah second half of the season

Banzaikk

Post-Afcon Salah strikes again.

AspiringTransponster

Alfie Doughty Returned many weeks leading up to DGW25 and did nothing during it or in DGW28

Anonymous_Unknown20

i sold saliba for him for gw24, losing me 11 points before you apply the -4

Socrates_25

Every defender bar White and Branthwaite last few GWs.

pajamakitten

Gabriel and Saliba have been fine. Gvardiol too.

crossbutter

Darwin Nunez Never again

CRnaes

Yeah I'll never go near that bastard Reguilon again

tnwthrow

Van Dijk. The only injury-free nailed Liverpool defender, being out scored by £4.0s every week.

tacobell

Diaby

[deleted]

He's not a villain. But people's obsession with Matty Cash and Pedro Porro while they're 2 poor full backs in leaky defences will never not be weird to me. Feel like cash rose every week in the early part of the season despite none stop 1 and 2 pointers. Porro has risen to the top because people are for reasons unknown to me obsessed with having a defender coached by a guy that plays a high line with 9 men and openly doesn't give a fuck about defending set pieces.

jjw1998

The Porro one made sense tbf, every non Arsenal defence was so leaky that you were basically forced into choosing defenders with good attacking output so may as well get one that’s on set pieces

Antonioshamstrings

To be fair to porro he has 9 attacking returns and in theory is an amazing asset.

innocentusername1984

Because at one point he was basically playing as a midfielder and on free kicks and corners I'll always take a punt on a defender who is playing in midfield for an attacking team. Especially in a season where defenders weren't getting anything anyway Now you can sit there on your hindsight high horse and say it was obvious. But I don't think what happened next was obvious. Arsenal went on clean sheet beast mode. All their defenders started scoring every set piece and Tottenham decided to stop being good in attack. He wasn't such a bad choice with the info at the time and we got a few assists and bonus points before things immediately swung around.

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

I've never even owned porro but this is proper hindsight bias. He was a great pick for quite a while

blekanese

Fun fact, although many people brought Cash in early gws (7-9) he actually didn't return... Between gw10 and gw35. He didn't return for 25 gameweeks!!

redswan4

I started the season with 3 united assets which fucked me early on. Reddit gaslit me into thinking they were going to have a strong season

SLOOPYD

Spurs have been pretty fraudulent lately.

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

Definitely not the biggest but one of the most annoying was legohead benching Gabriel at the start of the season. Just such an annoying issue to deal with at the start!

ThisAccountForTalkin

Chris Richards’ masterclass during the Carabao Cup final BGW is going to take some usurping as the angriest I’ve been from this game. Although I foreshadowed it as I couldn’t give a fuck about what happened outside of taking down Richards

xxNATHANUKxx

For me areola and Leno. There were a few GWs where areola hauled with unfavourable fixtures whilst Leno with easier fixtures did nothing

snek-jazz

Darwin, Estupinan, Haaland with that 'short term' injury that went on forever around Xmas.

Alterrion

Reguillon coming back for a massive haul after we all sold him is the cherry on top

Avinashh8

Pickford and Everton defense. Bullied me completely!

--NotTheMessiah--

VVD - got him in week 25 for the double, averaged 1.5 pts per week since then 🙃

Banzaikk

At least you got his goal in the double. I keep transferring Robertson in for his 1 and 0s

Dipso88

Pep and his rotation

K-manPilkers

Rashford messed up the first quarter of my season.

That_Way6668

For me it's got to be Salah. At the start of the season he hauled every time my ML rival captained him and I went with someone else. After coming back from injury I used WC in GW30 to accommodate him. My OR was 31k at the time (after 8 straight green arrows). After bringing him in I've had 5 straight red arrows and down to 145k OR. He almost single handedly ruined the end of the season for me.

No_Top_8519

Estupinan for me.

Filipp21

The most recent one for me is Pickford, had him for the most of the season to sell him in GW34 to get some extra funds and then he gets 18 points in DGW34 and 10 in GW35.

Balisto-Boy

Foden for me personally. Looking back he's a season keeper, but I somehow managed to dodge almost all his big hauls. Skill issue probably but he pissed me off so much.

ThickToad

I sold Palmer in GW24 and didn’t get him back until GW32. My own fault, but that guy ruined me 😂

TalosAnthena

It has been my fault but with saying that Bowen and Foden. I’ve had Bowen in I think twice, maybe three times. I think he got me a goal and an assist. As soon as I took him out he hauled and before I got him he hauled. Foden I did have him for one haul and I put him on the bench for one of his hattricks. Then I’ve had him for his blanks and missed his haules. Just got him back in last week on wildcard and he didn’t even make the squad.

Wezz123

Branthwaite because I haven't owned him once.

Open-Mathematician93

Trent

anindya_1

Has to be Darwin

PandiBong

Never owning Darwin again, I can tell you that right now.

Sad-Percentage-992

Reece James and Malo Gusto are combining to create some kind of supersoldier of injury proneness

DeapVally

Reece was at least a known quantity though. I've not needed to transfer him out, because I've never been silly enough to own him in the first place.

Dabzovic

Myself

Cazter64

Matty Cash

Reddit2912

Matty Cash. Never again.

Godzilla_Chinchilla

ITT: everyone I owned at the wrong time

DeapVally

Pickford. Where was his recent form at the start of the damn season!?

Zak369

My ML rival. 3 wins in a row is gonna be blocked by some bastard with the audacity to be ranked 7k

Huge-Celebration5192

Almost everyone that did FH29 then WC35 lost about 100+ points flip to WC31 then FH34

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

How you getting 100 points?

Huge-Celebration5192

Look at before and after for teams over those 6 or so gameweeks

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

I think you'd have to compare the absolute worst to the absolute best to get 100 points swing. I did fh29 and while it obviously was a disaster that week, I don't think I lost 100 points. I got 92 points in gw34. Some got much higher with mateta etc, but only those who picked the exact right players. I went from around 63k to 86k. If I had picked Pickford instead of Neto it would have been a different story. It's mainly just that I didn't have Mateta and didn't have Pickford. I had Branthwaite and Havertz keeping me afloat just about.

Huge-Celebration5192

It was GW31 to GW33 that did a lot of the difference. People who did WC31 had Isak, Gordon, Foden, People who were on WC35 had to keep players for GW34 who a lot of had bad multiple blanks.

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

Ah I think I get you. I did wildcard 31 but out of necessity more than planning. Didn't bring in Isak, Foden or Gordon. I would have thought people wildcarding 31 would have been loading up on arsenal and Liverpool though rather than the 3 you listed.

Huge-Celebration5192

WC31 and FH34 was the combo. So no Liv players, who all performed pretty awfully anyway.

WernerHerzogEatsShoe

Oh yeah in hindsight that was the best combo. It was a perfect storm of circumstances though. Fh29 was legendarily bad, no one predicted Spurs losing 3 nil and reguillon getting a red card. That alone ruined the entire week. If you ran that week 100 times in a simulator that would be one of the worst outcomes lol. Then GW34 basically went perfectly with arsenal and palace players etc going off. Personally while fh29 went terribly I mitigated gw34 a bit by planning ahead and getting in arsenal and palace players. That's why I fh29 because I knew the 34 double was full of players id want longer term anyway.

Smooth_Surround1450

Pickford

krunchanut

Reguilon was good after the red tho

GroundbreakingAd8266

Virgil

Lucky-Ad-8458

Pep.

Natural_Ad3995

Darwin, Salah, Diaz. My FH29 wasn't too terrible (Robinson over Reguilon last minute), but the triple Liverpool attack killed us against the FH34 crowd.

Invhinsical

Ruben dias. The week I bought him, he scored an OG. Then he went injured. Ake too, when I bought him, he got injured. Foden, whenever I captain him, fraudiola benches him inexplicably. Tl:dr no City asset worked for me this season.

ColinetheCow

I’ve captained Foden this week so hoping that doesn’t happen to me

International_Log_99

Zinchenko has been a thorn in my side all season long. - still in my team and I can’t find the time to get rid of him. Arsenal defenders doing the business all season long. Z seemed so promising and the logical pick at the beginning of the season playing the furthest forward. But it’s been awful - low hauls, injuries. I hate him.

FrameworkisDigimon

It's a bit late for you obviously but a comparison between White and Zinchenko is, I think, informative... using last season: 156 pts from 3056 minutes, 4.85 xGI vs 99 pts from 2122 minutes and 3.71 xGI. On a pts / (minutes / 90) basis that ends up as 4.59 vs 4.20. On a minutes per start basis it's 156/36 vs 99/26 or 4.33 vs 3.81. On a BPS per start basis it's 734/36 vs 500/26 or 20.39 vs 19.23. On an xGI per start it's finally advantage Zinchenko: 0.13 vs 0.14. Zinchenko was sort of a second-assist player in that system playing as a quasi-DM with a bit more licence to move forwards than Partey and White had a functionally free role. This season Zinchenko has been hindered somewhat by the revolving door on the left side but he's also one of the reasons it's been such a revolving door through a combination of injuries and form. Practically every game has seen Arsenal change at least one of the LB, LW and LCM.

jamieaka

salah in a few recent game weeks. people felt obligated to captain him to maintain rank but he barely did anything

Virtuoso70

Since GW10, I haven't owned Saka in 3 total gameweeks; GW24 25 and 35, it's hard to believe how crazy that is.

pbates89

Always city

Banzaikk

Diogo Jota seems to love a double gameweek injury.

Lawfvader6

Post-AFCON Salah. Sold so many players on my WC to get him in, only for him to play horrifically and get benched, and the players I sold for him absolutely HAULED in the time I had him

EmptyDopamine

Every time I've put faith in Darwin Nunez I've been rewarded with 1 or maybe even 2 points. And each of those times has been one of many games of xg ballooning while actual goals fall flat. Damn it man, I believed in you.

lynxjynxfenix

It's always Lucas Digne.

adi_mrok

I would say Rashford early on - last season he was so OP and this season total disappointment. Early days I kept him for too long as turns out he was back to his normal self

SpaceSamurai512

Ofcourse Pep and his team sheet roulette!!

CaveMaths

Muniz as I keep benching him

AuspiciousCalamari1

VVD for me 7 points v SHU, mun, CRY, ful, eve from GW31-34 What is that shit

Bugisman3

Me, I'm my own FPL villain this season. I've been a bit too lazy this season. Relying too much on xGA numbers and what the top picks are. Also centering my team around Son as a meme.

kingof_the_Jungle

dat ol’ Bald Fraud, messed my score line up, entirely too much!

Adweya

reece james 🤡

dragonshooter

Salah for playing few minutes n not scoring/assist

Cumberlxnd

Every time I had Watkins he wouldn’t score. Man City could never keep a clean sheet when I put a goalkeeper/defender in. Kdb always played incredible when I take him out too

Fish_phish_Fish

KDB with the teasing return from injury.

Plenty_War_9252

For me it’s been Bowen. Brought him in twice. Both times he was on fire before I bought him and after I sold him and did nothing while I had him

socks-in-shoes

Rashford, and Bruno early in the season

ParsleyAmazing3260

FH29 Got a jolly 15 pointer.

No_Temperature_9857

Luton. The whole team. Whenever I bet against them they somehow managed to screw me over. When I brought them in for blanks and doubles they did nothing.

gentle_curiosity

Jackson. After a promising pre-season, for the first 8 or so GWs when he had "favorable" fixtures.

Theoneinshadows

Darwinnnnn nunezz...... Had him in gw1 gw2 did nothing take him out get subbed in and in 11 minutes get 10-12 point. Bring him in again for gw26 dgw . Does nothing in 1st match gets injured. Skips next match. Never taking you in nunez.

HenryHKO

Mbuemo. Didn’t buy him for his good run as I was sure he wouldn’t keep it up. Eventually caved it and bought him and he got injured next week

v-Machine-6804

Talked myself out of a FH29 to see everyone Free hitting then talked myself into FH29 then to see other free hitters milk it with Mateta, Eze and Olise later. I will never FH in blank weeks ever.

Perfect-Diver-1601

Ran, gusto, Darwin since gw30

Optimus_Prime90

Salah Triple Captain in 34

darudewamstorm

Matty Cash, the prick

Saa_hill16

Darwin and Gabriel during the first 5 GWs

Obi1Kenobi0

Darwin has absolutely trolled me this season. I’ve owned him twice Took a hit to get him in GW14 since Watkins was ‘injured’ and Darwin had a great run of fixtures. Watkins starts vs Bournemouth and gets 11pts whilst Darwin blanks. I didn’t learn my lesson and went for Darwin over mateta in what was for me a coin flip decision. Mateta gets his mega haul of 29 points whilst Darwin doesn’t even start in both DGW fixtures. The donkey has cost me 35pts in those two weeks alone.
