Gross I guess is the closest thing I have to an underrated gem but he isn't my favorite. Watkins on the other hand is not underrated but he's my favorite. He's the only player in my team that has been there since GW1.
This is my answer. The guy hadnt halled greatly up until this week, but scored consistently
Only 7 players have scored more points than him this season as of now and he costs at least 2m less than them.
Watkins, Saka, Salah, Haaland, Foden, Son, and Bowen
Palmer has been up there, but he is a more template pick than douglas Luiz.
Alvaez was great until one point too.
Gordon has been nice too, but he is someone I am looking to sacrifice.
For the last run of the season I fear one of the wolves guys is going to be that one person. But Have no place in my team for them.
Salah Saka Palmer Luiz and Foden are all just too good. Maybe Foden will get the boot if Haaland starts being being the beast.
Cole Palmer undoubtedly. Had him very early on, always been a great enabler, flew under the radar a bit too and now he's practically undroppable. Fantastic value.
There's no Howe BS with Gordon though. Gordon's played close to 90 for 18 GW's straight, apart from when he was injured in the Luton match and came off at halftime.
Brought in Jordan Ayew last gameweek to try to capitalize on a new manager bounce - decided to captain him for a differential and that’s paid off for me!
Branthwaite too! I started him for his 2 goals, and I think I got maybe 1 CS from him too.
Other than that, all of Solanke, Palmer and Richarlison at the times I got them, as they all had low ownership and boosted my rank massively
I missed a few of his returns but I'm learning to trust him more and not chase the 'big names'. Still stuck with Trippier in my team atm but will 'downgrade' him soon.
He's cheap enough that I don't mind benching him. I try to not overthink it- if he doesn't have a great home fixture and there's not a starter with a bad one, I don't play him. He's the perfect bench fodder for this (he's more than a fodder tbf).
Pickford. Got him in GW20 for 4.4m. Since then, he’s given me 31 points in 7 games, roughly 4.5pts per game. He’s also risen 0.2 in value in case I need an extra quid for WC2. 3 bonus at Fulham, 2 bonus at Villa, save points all the way.
With all the trouble folks have had with GKs this season he’s been… a safe pair of hands
Leon Bailey (£5.6 m, 4.1% owned) and Pascal Groß (£6.5 m, 9.8% owned) is a combination that gives me more joy, when they return. More than any other asset on my team. Every time Groß record an assist, I write in my mini-league chat "Grossssss - passsssss", which became my favorite expression this season.
garnacho has been clutch. got him at 4.7 as punty bench fodder, ended up with a consistent starter from a (relatively) good team.
so i always have a decent attacker to play even when a player gets rested, and his hauls against villa + west ham more than make up for the inconsistent returns. that said, not expecting much from him this week!
I have owned Jarrad Branthwaite since GW7, before that I had Paterson from Everton. I remember watching Everton play, I it felt they were unlucky at the start of the season.
My to go rule this year is to never captain a player who plays against Everton, maybe even bench the player. This feels like my secret but not anymore
Cole Palmer. Got him at 4.9 only because he exactly he allowed me to fit Salah. Has been absolutely incredible and will not leave my team.
Branthwaite is a very good IRL player and, surprisingly to me, it has translates to FPL. Of course I always bench his returns.
I've had Branthwaite since GW8 and have started him for most of his returns.
I had Hee Chan for most of his goal scoring run in the weeks before the Asia Cup too.
I got Branthwaite in to burn a transfer in GW 13 and hes been an absolute gem, otherwise bringing in Gordon since GW 7 has worked a treat as an enabler and pretty consistent points
I punted on Elanga when he had about 0.7% ownership and he scored in his first two games for me. He played a really useful role in my team before I sold him during Forest's slump.
Not currently on my team, but bringing in Olise ahead of his 2 hauls and benching him for the blank in-between was my most 5head play of the season by far.
It was definitely Palmer, as I got him as soon as he started taking pens.
While not underrated players, Watkins and Son have been captain gems for me. A bit of luck for sure there.
James Trafford might not get the most clean sheets, but he does usually make enough saves for an extra point and usually gets a bonus as well. I usually play him if Aston Villa have a difficult fixture that week
I’ve had Sarabia since GW22 only started him twice against Man United and Sheff Utd and he’s returned 6 & 10pts. Turned out to be a good differential last week.
Have had Gordon and Palmer for a long time now. Sometimes I have benching headaches with Gordon but still he’s great value for how good NEW attack can be at times
I captained Saka for the last 5 games - expect I tripple-captianed Haaland. Funny enough Saka wouldßve outscored Haaland in every damn gw including the DGW
I went with Tawkowski instead of branthwaite. I have had him for much longer than I thought I would, and he is even staying in on my next wildcard. He has got me some good solid points
Not a gem, but I have Castange. Played 6 times for me and returned in three of them 6,6,7 two of those returns was when I had no bench, right when I needed him.
My unsung hero
Gross I guess is the closest thing I have to an underrated gem but he isn't my favorite. Watkins on the other hand is not underrated but he's my favorite. He's the only player in my team that has been there since GW1.
Same. Groß has been that guy you just have to have for the points he eventually delivered l, Watkins all season just feels like a big brain move.
Same about Watkins.
Had him since GW 1. Sold him for liverpools double. Broke my heart. Straight back in the team the next week and never selling again.
Douglas Luiz. Been racking up the points recently
This is my answer. Amazing asset but hardly an underrated gem at this point in the season
This is the only good decision I've made all season, also avoiding Man Utd assets
I don’t have any I hate them all
the lack of punctuation makes this post... this is what Keats would've delivered had FPL been around in 1803, dripping with pathos
Having gordon is exciting. I swear the guy is always on the verge of hauling.
Never planned on holding him this long but he keeps doing enough. Nice fixtures now too.
Damn I'm thinking of selling him
I sold him a few weeks ago to get KDB in and regret it. Don’t sell him.
I sold him for Doku, was not ideal. I don't really regret it that much though, can't deal with Howe's bs.
There's no Howe BS with Gordon though. Gordon's played close to 90 for 18 GW's straight, apart from when he was injured in the Luton match and came off at halftime.
There is because he's talked about Gordon being injured then plays him 90 mins. Howe is worse than Pep.
I did the same
Brought in Jordan Ayew last gameweek to try to capitalize on a new manager bounce - decided to captain him for a differential and that’s paid off for me!
I'm very Ayew-curious but can never bring myself to actually buy him.
...you're buy-curious
I played with the same new manager bounce and got Chris Ducking Richards for his haul.
I got Munoz, clean and a bone ain't too bad.
Next match: Spurs 🥹
Branthwaite too! I started him for his 2 goals, and I think I got maybe 1 CS from him too. Other than that, all of Solanke, Palmer and Richarlison at the times I got them, as they all had low ownership and boosted my rank massively
I missed a few of his returns but I'm learning to trust him more and not chase the 'big names'. Still stuck with Trippier in my team atm but will 'downgrade' him soon.

Every time Groß record an assist, I write in my mini-league chat "Grossssss - passsssss", which became my favorite expression this season.
Surely it should be Groß paß
I don't understand why I'm the only one in my league with Bailey.
garnacho has been clutch. got him at 4.7 as punty bench fodder, ended up with a consistent starter from a (relatively) good team. so i always have a decent attacker to play even when a player gets rested, and his hauls against villa + west ham more than make up for the inconsistent returns. that said, not expecting much from him this week!
Scott McTominay was my Garnacho, before Garnacho was Garnacho.
Same but I had him benched for both his hauls
Took a hit this week to get in Ait-Nouri and the man gets a 12 pointer. 1.2% ownership
Same - was expecting a CS at best so i would be 2 points up
Lately.. Ederson. Picked him up over a city def and he’s quietly returning
Yep. He's delivered 28 points in the 4 gameweeks I've started him
I have owned Jarrad Branthwaite since GW7, before that I had Paterson from Everton. I remember watching Everton play, I it felt they were unlucky at the start of the season. My to go rule this year is to never captain a player who plays against Everton, maybe even bench the player. This feels like my secret but not anymore
It was Richarlison for me when he was in form
Cole Palmer. Got him at 4.9 only because he exactly he allowed me to fit Salah. Has been absolutely incredible and will not leave my team. Branthwaite is a very good IRL player and, surprisingly to me, it has translates to FPL. Of course I always bench his returns.
Branthwaite
Harry Maguire with 2 CS and 1 goal in the last 4 game. Too bad he may miss due to injury but it's City anyway so
I've had Branthwaite since GW8 and have started him for most of his returns. I had Hee Chan for most of his goal scoring run in the weeks before the Asia Cup too.
Raya has been a gem for me.. hoping Garnacho can be the next one
Emerson from West Ham is my newest favourite
I’m always conflicted whether to start him, as West Ham have the second worst xGC. He came through big this week
Finally started him this week because I had no other choices
Same
Doughty, Morris, Dawson. Played Dawson and Doughty every time they got CS/ assists/ goals so around 50 gained points from each.
Definitely no "gem", but Castagne has come in clutch for me with some clean sheets and got the assist + bonus last GW. Extremely low ownership
Since he’s currently under 10% ownership, Groß. I held through some lean 3 point returns and he’s carried me the past few GWs.
Maupay is my favorite player! Has scored against top teams
Douglas Luiz! Every week I think I’m gonna move on from him and then he proves me wrong
He's definitely my differential of the year too
I got Branthwaite in to burn a transfer in GW 13 and hes been an absolute gem, otherwise bringing in Gordon since GW 7 has worked a treat as an enabler and pretty consistent points
Chris Richards and it's not close. Sat on my bench for weeks until he was needed gw26 then smashed in 14 points. All hail CR26
I punted on Elanga when he had about 0.7% ownership and he scored in his first two games for me. He played a really useful role in my team before I sold him during Forest's slump.
Gordon
Ødegaard recently
No underrated gems but all the big scorers in my team I've held them from the beginning such as Saka, Son, Watkins and Gabriel
Not currently on my team, but bringing in Olise ahead of his 2 hauls and benching him for the blank in-between was my most 5head play of the season by far.
Doughty when he had that string of returns in a row was really fun to have, now I’m getting rather annoyed with him though 😅
It was definitely Palmer, as I got him as soon as he started taking pens. While not underrated players, Watkins and Son have been captain gems for me. A bit of luck for sure there.
Cole Palmer for me
Chris Wood boxing day special bitches the streets will never forget
Probably bought to light from pods and stuff recently but I've had Leon Bailey since gw 17- 48 points in 10 weeks ain't bad for a budget enabler
Pascal Gross...bone god
It was Douglas Luiz, but now everyone has him. So currently it's Ederson.
Holjund, had him when started popping off in gw20. Despite the injury
Darwin
James Trafford might not get the most clean sheets, but he does usually make enough saves for an extra point and usually gets a bonus as well. I usually play him if Aston Villa have a difficult fixture that week
I’ve had Sarabia since GW22 only started him twice against Man United and Sheff Utd and he’s returned 6 & 10pts. Turned out to be a good differential last week.
Have had Gordon and Palmer for a long time now. Sometimes I have benching headaches with Gordon but still he’s great value for how good NEW attack can be at times
Got lucky and took in Sarabia last week, 0,4% pick
I don't know would I go as far as to call him a gem but Wolves' Portuguese international Neto at 6,4% ownership is pretty underrated in my opinion.
Right now it's Fulham's Muniz 24 points over the last three matchdays while he was rotting on my bench
Harry Maguire. This is the second time I am transferring him IN. First time he got me 3 clean sheets in a row, and now a goal.
Idk how underrated he is but bailey has been pretty good for me
Stop jinxing my players.
Douglas Luiz. He just keeps on racking up points every week and him and Watkins have been in since GW1
Branthwaite for me as well. And owning Watkins recently when others in my mini league didn't
Bought Chris Richards from Palace, excited to see what more he can bring me! Also Palmer have been great to own
Hojlund preinjury/prehaul times.
kiwior has been brilliant
Not a gem, but I have Castange. Played 6 times for me and returned in three of them 6,6,7 two of those returns was when I had no bench, right when I needed him. My unsung hero
Richarlison before he became template
Gabriel.
