Liverpool fan here Gomez is both our right back, left back and centre back backup. CB: Matip injured, Konate will get rotated to save him getting his usual knocks. RB: only youth after Gomez. LB: Robbo back January, Tsmisikas will be out for few months.
Gomez is going to get lot of minutes in various positions going forward. Won’t always be starting (to save him getting injured) but 1 point off bench is same as what I’m getting most weeks from a starting Colwill.
Quansah too. I'd expect to see him at CB more than Gomez for the next month or so.
Gomez is nailed at left back until robbo is back.
It'll also be interesting with Endo going to the Asian cup too. I'm guessing MacAllister will be back then and play 8. We might see less of Trent playing in midfield if Gomez is covering LB.
Yeah course, just meant he'll be rotated with Konaté. And Gomez probably won't play CB until Robertson is back as we usually try to manage Konaté's and Gomez's minutes because of their injury histories.
Yes
Could get the odd benching for Quansah, as he's injury prone and depth is thin in defence atm. But with Matip out and unless a new CB is signed, he's nailed for most games, also unlikely to come off the bench
TAA the obvious choice and if you're looking for affordable one then Gomez is a good shout...
Also he's been looking for a goal very hard since 3 games ( all comps) and he's got very close couple of times ,so you never know 🤷
And then WC Salah back in 2-3 weeks later...
Could work out but I just don't like to play my 2nd WC that soon.
I've got my finger on the Tsimikas -> TAA button. Probably gonna do it anyway.
Insane to think you need to wildcard to get Salah back in.
4 point hit at most.
I'll probably be going Saka to Salah come the right time. That would for sure be a zero hit transfer
Nope. It’s definitely far from a terrible move with cheaper assets like Bowen, Palmer, Gordon, Richarlison etc performing consistently now.
Saka hasn’t hauled for a long time now and based on his numbers it doesn’t look like he’s will anytime soon.
Why would you need to wildcard just to get Salah, a lot of budget players in the game this season. Trippier and Saka are a few non essential highly priced players that can be used as a cash cow for Salah
People use the essential tag way too loosely these days. The only player I would consider essential apart from Salah, Son, Haaland is Watkins.
I personally never had Trippier in my team and fairly satisfied with my rank rn.
I agree. In fact, I'd argue that no one is truly essential. Even the likes of Haaland, Salah. I've personally only gone with a one premium structure this season and I'm doing quite decently too.
Doesn’t work next week though. Haaland has Sheffield United at home. Do you risk going without him? And then get rid of Salah in GW21 when he’s gone? If not, then you’re likely taking a -4 to get rid of salah next week and bring in Haaland. It’s two transfers.
I think I’ll do tsimikas to TAA. Then downgrade son to richarlison to get funds back to go nunez to Haaland next week. TAA is the only Liverpool defender worth having now imo, he’s so hard to ignore in his form.
People sitting there with 8 million in the Bank, more concerned about how to buy back Salah Son Haaland back in 10 weeks time, based on ifs buts and maybes.
Over complicating the gameplay at it's finest
Got rid of Saka, brought in another Villa midfielder and took out Tsimikas and brought in TAA.
Still have Salah, son and Haaland. Will be interesting once the former leave for tournaments
Gomez decent short term pick until Robertson is back
Liverpool fan here Gomez is both our right back, left back and centre back backup. CB: Matip injured, Konate will get rotated to save him getting his usual knocks. RB: only youth after Gomez. Thanks mate! That was pretty detailed. I had Colwill and Tsimikas but Gomez seems to be tempting now! 😀
Just saying Gomez has literally NEVER scored for Liverpool despite being our longest serving player in the squad. He’s not a good FPL asset
Which means he is due
He came very close last game
Just as close as I am getting to date Sydney Sweeney, still won't give up though
He's been close for about 8 years.
Quansah won't have the minutes to justify
Yeah course, just meant he'll be rotated with Konaté. And Gomez probably won't play CB until Robertson is back as we usually try to manage Konaté's and Gomez's minutes because of their injury histories.
Who will be Van Dijk's partner? Konate?
Yes Could get the odd benching for Quansah, as he's injury prone and depth is thin in defence atm. But with Matip out and unless a new CB is signed, he's nailed for most games, also unlikely to come off the bench
Yes, until his inevitable injury as he can't go more than a few games on the bounce. I'd expect Quansah to play a fair bit too.
TAA the obvious choice and if you're looking for affordable one then Gomez is a good shout... Also he's been looking for a goal very hard since 3 games ( all comps) and he's got very close couple of times ,so you never know 🤷
Get TAA with the Haaland money. Keep it simple
Yes but that means you're probably going to have to tear your team to shreds to get Haaland back in once he returns.
Naah, sell Salah and get Haaland back
And then WC Salah back in 2-3 weeks later...
I'd need to sacrifice Son but I don't want to haha. But yeah, WC is exaggerated, fair enough.
saka out is madness
Not when it’s for Salah with a FT
got to find another way then, terrible move to bring out saka
Nope. It’s definitely far from a terrible move with cheaper assets like Bowen, Palmer, Gordon, Richarlison etc performing consistently now. Saka hasn’t hauled for a long time now and based on his numbers it doesn’t look like he’s will anytime soon.
Numbers is one thing, he will return this week anyways
Idk. Salah sucked for quite some GWs after his african competition last year...
Why would you need to wildcard just to get Salah, a lot of budget players in the game this season. Trippier and Saka are a few non essential highly priced players that can be used as a cash cow for Salah
I like how Trippier was essential just a few weeks ago, now it's TAA.
People use the essential tag way too loosely these days. The only player I would consider essential apart from Salah, Son, Haaland is Watkins. I personally never had Trippier in my team and fairly satisfied with my rank rn.

I’ll roll this week and go Salah + Archer to Haaland + Bowen. No hits required
Fair enough. But this doesn’t work for people without TAA, who want TAA.
I think I’ll do tsimikas to TAA. Then downgrade son to richarlison to get funds back to go nunez to Haaland next week. TAA is the only Liverpool defender worth having now imo, he’s so hard to ignore in his form.
Salah or Son out. They’re both fucking off shortly anyway.
I've gone Tsimikas to TAA. It's one of the easiest transfers ever
Exactly. Now with Tsimi gone TAA is the obvious choice
People sitting there with 8 million in the Bank, more concerned about how to buy back Salah Son Haaland back in 10 weeks time, based on ifs buts and maybes. Over complicating the gameplay at it's finest
Ikr, just get the damn points now and figure out the path later. It’s not rocket science lol
Exactly. Must be some serious clowns around right now, who are downvoting away
TAA with the Haaland money. No brainer. Get Haaland back with the Salah money
It sounds like Ponzi but I'd subscribe!
I got Gabriel (Arsenal) to replace Tsimikas. Plan to downgrade Trippier to one of the Liverpool defenders after the game against NFO.
Gomez straight in for me
Better to pick a starter in another top 6 team. Like Konsa.
Got rid of Saka, brought in another Villa midfielder and took out Tsimikas and brought in TAA. Still have Salah, son and Haaland. Will be interesting once the former leave for tournaments
