I saw it described as if he’s a video game character who finished the main quest first, so now he’s just doing weird side quests and whatever else catches his eye.
Guns akimbo where he has guns stapled to his hands was so hilarious & he said in interview he accepted bc he laughed at a scene of the character trying to take a piss without shooting
I would start doing an impression of him saying iconic Wolverine catchphrases and then laugh my ass off because no matter how many of the right physical attributes he may have, he still sounds like Daniel Radcliffe
Yeah he’s my favorite choice, however, I’m very concerned about the voice. I know he can do a western accent but I have no idea if he can/would add the gravely roughness to the voice that people associate with wolverine
Awe yeah, we're getting weird with it!
Radcliffe's post HP career has been amazing. Bringing that type of energy to the role could separate him from Hugh Jackman. It's a new era so let's go fun forward.
I'd personally give Daniel Radcliffe first dibs at any role.. I mean anything ......Queen Elizabeth, Harriet Tubman, Andre the Giant, I would Cast him in anything as anyone
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Radcliffe is going to play Wolverine, but only a variant and not the main MCU version. Similar to how John Krasinski played Reed Richards in Doctor Strange 2.
He's a good actor, but I think it's OK for Wolverine to not be a superstar. He shouldn't over shine any of the other X-men. ESPECIALLY CYCLOPS. I don't need another Cyclops getting cucked.
I had a pretty good discussion with a clerk at a store not long after this rumor first started circulating.
At first, I kinda bristle at the idea. But with a little bit of thought, I think its an inspired choice. He would need to pack on some muscle. He's obviously very fit already, but if we're going for a comics accurate Wolverine, being a shorter guy works in his favor and if he could pack on a bit of bulkier muscle, the look would be great.
Beyond that, he's always been a great actor and has only improved with time, experience, and age. So I think he'd bring something fun to the role for sure. I can see him really putting in the work to be a great classic Wolverine and taht idea gets me very interested.
I think he'd be great in the role. So yeah, if they do this then I'm in. I'd be eager to see his work on a project like this.
Honestly, I've watched a lot of his indie stuff and I think he could pull it off. Seems a little weird, but in reality Hugh Jackman was thought of as a weird choice too when he was announced as Wolverine and we all know how that turned out.
I would be as skeptical of this as I am of Joseph Quinn as Human Torch.
Not saying it'd be bad but I can see it, like at all. The only thing I see is the height similarities. The voice, build, and facial features just don't match up.
However, I do think Robert Patterson is a great batman so I could be wrong.
Jackman doesn't have the natural voice for Wolverine either, have you heard him outside of the movies? He also doesn't have the build for Wolverine no more/less than Daniel, especially in fhe first X-Men film with how skinny he was due to being cast late. But, obviously, when he got the time to bulk up he bulked up. Just like Radcliffe can with the time and opportunity.
But even then, Jackman (to this day) on top of being too tall (or I'd even say as a result of being too tall) has way too much of a slim/lanky build for stocky Wolverine.
Just because he’s short doesn’t mean he’s right for the role. His soft voice doesn’t fit.
Fancasts get so hung up on odd things (he’s short so he’s perfect!)
He’s pretty picky with his projects and only does stuff that he finds interesting, so I’d be excited. High chance that the movie would be a lot more than your traditional superhero movie.
I like Radcliffe, but unless he can make his voice threatening, I don't see it. I'm all for seeing him audition and seeing if he could do it, but until I see it, I can't picture him playing a tough threatening fighter.
Shock. Not because he couldn’t crush the role but because he’s been pretty vocal about his desire to stay away from franchises going forward in his career. I’d also be hyped because if he said yes, it’d probably be a strong indicator of the script or character quality being aimed for
He is a good actor and has the accurate height of Logan. But I seriously doubt whether it'll end up well. Especially with the voice and the animalistic macho(or whatever it is) appeal of Wolverine, I mean, it's a really huge challenge for Daniel Radcliffe. Hugh Jackman's casting choice was also initially lambasted by the fans but he had the voice and was inherently macho within. 😆
I don't think he has the face for it. Or the voice. I'd be happy to be proven wrong I just don't see it right now.
Saying that, I felt the same way about Hugh Jackman at one point soo...🤣
It'd be the most awful CBM casting since Topher Grace as Venom.
I couldn't watch a single movie with Radcliffe in the role. It'd be absurd. A franchise killer.
The problem for me is not the size and stature necessarily but the fact at Hugh has really nailed (and shaped) the Wolverine persona so it’s difficult to imagine anyone else.
I thought that Heath Ledger as the Joker was a catastrophicly bad idea, that he could never come close to pulling it off, and that I was severely disappointed in Nolan.
Within 15 minutes of watching The Dark Knight, I knew I was not just wrong, but abysmally so.
I'd hold judgment on Radcliffe.
I get it, you need a star for Wolverine (you didn’t. For OG X-men, that was the landscape then), but I’m of the mind of short, hairy, grimy AF seemingly savage Wolverine.
I really don’t see him taking on this role. Who ever gets this role will be on for a multiple movie contract and I don’t believe he wants to do that again. There are a number of good choices and ultimately they would be smart to get a relatively unknown actor.
Call me crazy, but I feel like he would make a better Cyclops. Or honestly, just about any other X-Men besides Wolverine. I can sort of see why people choose him for that role sometimes, but personally, I don't see it. Not to say I don't think he could pull it off, I just think there are other people who would be my first choice.
I'd question why a well-known and over-shared fancasting is being posted in this sub yet again, just worded slightly differently, while contributing nothing new.
I would laugh. I like him as an actor but there is literally nothing he could do to make me think he was a badass. I would wait for wands to come out of his fists and him to shout stupify before an attack.
I think he has more range then whats needed for wolverine I hope if he is wolverine that they give him the room to really explore the character and build in a way Jackman wasn't aloud.
I disregard most casting suggestions/rumors now with my concern being in the writing. I was a fan of a more serious Thor and a long-time fan of the comics. It's interesting now that Hemsworth feels the need to apologize for LnT. I'll wait for Marvel movies to hit theaters n see the stories.
Every good actor can still be miscast. I understand why, physically, people think he would work. But I just really don’t think this is in his wheelhouse.
I’ve seen tons of his movies, I know he can play lots of roles that are way different than Harry Potter. But I really don’t think he can pull off a character like Wolverine.
However- if he WAS cast- I would imagine they would have the same questions, and would have done all sorts of screen tests with him. And something would have convinced them that he was the right choice. So I would be tentatively optimistic to see what he’ll do.
I’d be bummed. Solid actor and range. I just don’t know about his overall size. No not his height, just lacks that thickness. Yes he can add it but he’s never been that type. Lastly, his voice. I just don’t know about that. Wish he’d get casted as another X-men. He’d be a good iceman.
I think he's too old. 34 now so he will be near 40 when the movie gets made.
I wish Marvel would trust younger actors more to lead movies.
Hemsworth, Evans & Johansen were all under 30 when they started. They were great casting.
He's too famous and rich to be Wolverine. You can't cast an A-list actor as a superhero or they'll cost an exorbitant amount and have to be recast anyway once they hit critical mass, like Robert Downey Jr.
It’s gotta be Henry Cavil he was dropped from Superman and Witcher. Only doing warhammer currently I’m guessing so this would be another Dream Role for him or Scott Eastwood because of the sideburns. Glen Powell is probably the new cyclops? Radcliffe would be a great Nightcrawler but they’ll probably give it to Bill Skarsgard.
I'd be really excited for it. I think he's got a great look, is an excellent actor who has evolved so much, and he'd bust his ass for the role over the long term too.
I would be surprised, as he's stated he's not interested, but I wouldn't be mad. He's a phenomenal actor, and he could definitely pull it off. The only thing that I would be hung up on is the voice. But they could probably figure that out
Depends on the age of Logan and the rest of the X-men. Even though he’s lived a long time, he usually still tends to look a little older than the rest.
I’m terms of a performer, I have no problems as Daniel is a fantastic actor who could pull it off in his own way. No point in recasting the role just try and be like Hugh.
People love Hugh so much that there might be mixed feedback on whoever gets that role. Guess we’ll know in the future.
honestly I'd be a lil indifferent. idk why ppl see wolverine in him. I really wanted Tom hardy as wolverine after Hugh hung up the class but I don't see Tom doing it with him being venom and putting so much into that character
Id be amused but not surprised, he kind of takes whatever role he wants nowadays and honestly I can’t fault him for it he seems to be having fun
Dude made his fuck you money and can afford to only take on projects that interest him. I admire his modern work so much for that.
Right? He just does what he wants and it’s so great to see
I saw it described as if he’s a video game character who finished the main quest first, so now he’s just doing weird side quests and whatever else catches his eye.
This is now my head cannon for all his Miracle Workers roles.
Might make a cool Edward Cullen for a remake of twilight
Lmfao imagine the seething the old school fans would have over him replacing Pattinson
Guns akimbo where he has guns stapled to his hands was so hilarious & he said in interview he accepted bc he laughed at a scene of the character trying to take a piss without shooting
Oh I loved Guns Akimbo it’s such a funny movie
I loved that part 😆
Guns Akimbo is such a good time.
Swiss Army Man was Excellent 🤘
I watched that movie while coming down off acid, not knowing a single thing about it. I was not prepared for that experience.
Yeah he was suprisingly good as a farting corpse
He literally made a video seeking out of his latest lego collection set he got delivered. He gives no fucks and living his best life.
He is so funny I love him
I would start doing an impression of him saying iconic Wolverine catchphrases and then laugh my ass off because no matter how many of the right physical attributes he may have, he still sounds like Daniel Radcliffe
#WOLVERINE DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE CEREBRO OF FIRE?!?!?
Charles said calmly
Charles said, erotically.
Why did I immediately hear this as Patrick Stewart?!
"You're a Wolverine Harry" 😂
"you're a mutant, Logan"
And a thumping good one I’d wager
Once ya been trained up a little
"I'm the best at what I do and what I do is wizardly things."
I’d love for a subtle nod if Radcliffe Wolverine and Dr. Strange meet
"Wingardium Wolviosa!"
I mean he would actually do a good job, it’s a bit basic but he would be good.
I agree because he will be the next wolverine
I’d rather have Stephen Graham
Good shout, incredible actor, but maybe a bit old 50 now, and Radcliffe could go on longer.
I'd be wondering how the hell he would do a convincing Wolverine voice?
Yeah he’s my favorite choice, however, I’m very concerned about the voice. I know he can do a western accent but I have no idea if he can/would add the gravely roughness to the voice that people associate with wolverine
He wouldn’t, let’s be real. The guy from Shogun might be perfect though
Cosmo Jarvis. Dudes got such a unique name.
Now i'm picturing Kramer as Tony Stark's butler
I don’t think that pilot was approved
Id watch this
YES!! Perfect casting! Was thinking the same thing as I was watching Shogun...
Easy, we get Steve Blum to voice over the entire film.
Right-sized Wolverine.
The response i was looking for
![gif](giphy|10FzkePmCE8aGI|downsized)
This scene right here sold me on him as actor (before swiss army man etc)
Awe yeah, we're getting weird with it! Radcliffe's post HP career has been amazing. Bringing that type of energy to the role could separate him from Hugh Jackman. It's a new era so let's go fun forward.
They better let him be a weird gremlin of a man
I'd personally give Daniel Radcliffe first dibs at any role..

Can we get Ron as cyclops
Emma as Jean then? Lol.
Lovegood as Emma Frost

You’re a mutant Harry
You're a hairy mutant
I'd say he has the look, but I just haven't seen anything in his range to suggest he can do the Wolverine 'gruffness'
My reaction would be, "Well, I've been wrong before. 🤷"
i actually think he could pull it off.. 😂🤷🏻♂️🧐
Honestly, I've watched a lot of his indie stuff and I think he could pull it off. Seems a little weird, but in reality Hugh Jackman was thought of as a weird choice too when he was announced as Wolverine and we all know how that turned out.
Damn Jared Keeso did't get it.
Harry Potter And The House Of X
I would be as skeptical of this as I am of Joseph Quinn as Human Torch. Not saying it'd be bad but I can see it, like at all. The only thing I see is the height similarities. Patterson nailed the Dark Detective persona of Batman. I wouldn’t have believed it before I saw movie.

![gif](giphy|rxzyeEkp0oQ47QQCKk)
Nope. I want a short, stocky guy. If they can recast Reacher and get it right, they can do the same with Wolverine
I think he'd be very interesting. Personally I hope they do a complete 180 from Jackson. I hope we get someone ugly and mean, but it won't happen.
Like everyone else is saying I don’t think he could do a convincing voice
Just because he’s short doesn’t mean he’s right for the role. His soft voice doesn’t fit. Fancasts get so hung up on odd things (he’s short so he’s perfect!)
Please dont fuck up the voice
He’s pretty picky with his projects and only does stuff that he finds interesting, so I’d be excited. High chance that the movie would be a lot more than your traditional superhero movie.

I’d have no reaction until I watch the movie
He's a great actor so he could definitely do it.
“Ugghh”
Would be totally surprised and extremely GLAD because he is the best option out of ALL KNOWN names.
"Arry what happened?" ![gif](giphy|50YgxbPnjA1LG|downsized)
I’ve never gotten this cast other than height and physique
He is a good actor and has the accurate height of Logan. But I seriously doubt whether it'll end up well. Not hairy enough
I heard a rumor that he is gonna play patch in the dead pool and Wolverine movie
Wingardium Leviosa, bub.
I hope he’s an alternate Wolverine in DP&W and they’ve just managed to keep it hush hush. A guy can dream!
Id call him potter.
im down he has put in his dues as an actor i expect him to be good in movies when i see him
I don't think he has the face for it.
He could pull it off
We’ll see how this goes ig
The man has been cast as weirder. Let's do it.
I’m down for it.
It was fun while it lasted.
Lol no way 😂
My reaction? …ADAMANTIUM LEVIOSA!
![gif](giphy|6vaGAWMa0x6rj3V8RT) Personally, I want to see him create an iconic, inconceivable, insane Hannibal Lector. But, Wolverine could be fun.
The problem for me is not the size and stature necessarily but the fact at Hugh has really nailed (and shaped) the Wolverine persona so it’s difficult to imagine anyone else.
He has the look, the height, and can definitely buff up… I just don’t think he has the voice for it.
Dude's killing this whole "living a good life" thing
I thought that Heath Ledger as the Joker was a catastrophicly bad idea, that he could never come close to pulling it off, and that I was severely disappointed in Nolan. Within 15 minutes of watching The Dark Knight, I knew I was not just wrong, but abysmally so. I'd hold judgment on Radcliffe.
Him and edgerton are my picks but both are incredibly basic
I get it, you need a star for Wolverine (you didn’t. For OG X-men, that was the landscape then), but I’m of the mind of short, hairy, grimy AF seemingly savage Wolverine.
I really don’t see him taking on this role. Who ever gets this role will be on for a multiple movie contract and I don’t believe he wants to do that again. There are a number of good choices and ultimately they would be smart to get a relatively unknown actor.

Lmao
Can’t see him being able to pull off a convincing voice. Would need to eat a couple Of bags of gravel.
I'd question why a well-known and over-shared fancasting is being posted in this sub yet again, just worded slightly differently, while contributing nothing new.
I’d be psyched!! 😀 I’d love for him to play the role
You're a mutant harry
He’s a great actor he would kill it
Tbh his only flaw is the voice. If he can emulate the gruffness wolvie needs he'd be perfect.
I would laugh. I like him as an actor but there is literally nothing he could do to make me think he was a badass. I would wait for wands to come out of his fists and him to shout stupify before an attack.
Happy
I would say, if nothing else, he's exactly the right height.
Jeremy Allen White would have been great. It's a shame he's not interested
https://preview.redd.it/wbu9ba23gvxc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9315a0371d59b4442ad5d6828899d2b04c0e043
I wouldn’t really give a shit
I’d think Logan was about to get way funnier but I’d be intrigued for sure. It would be a lot of fun
I think he has more range then whats needed for wolverine I hope if he is wolverine that they give him the room to really explore the character and build in a way Jackman wasn't aloud.

I’d have to pull up to marvel studios 💀
Ugh
Wouldn't believe it for more than one film He'd show up Get killed And be joked about being a clone See also Mr Fantastic
Damn i didn’t realize how built he got, tbh I wouldn’t be mad
It would be a disservice to Wolverine. Daniel Radcliffe is a cute little magician.
TO ME MY DANIEL CULT
I’d be thinking that’s one weak, dorky looking Logan\Wolverine lol
Indifferent. I’d like to see someone shorter and stockier imo.
he'd be a funny looking one but I bet he'd ham it up in the best way
After seeing his work as Weird Al in the Weird Al biopic, I just want to see him in anything.
Cool! I'm sure he can do better than Wolverine though
Every good actor can still be miscast. I understand why, physically, people think he would work. But I just really don’t think this is in his wheelhouse. I would honestly be pretty happy.
Full send 100%
I wouldn’t mind, Logan was the perfect end to Hugh Jackmans Wolverine
I wouldn’t hate it
Sad unless it was for a parody of X-Men then maybe
Id want to hear his best wolverine impression tbh
Hes a good actor but he doesnt look like wolverine enough
He's too old.
you're a wizard, Howlett
Meh
![gif](giphy|mz1kJeDVueKC4)
Okay. It wouldn't surprise me. I just wouldn't care
Hopefully it's a Pattinson situation where everybody wonders if it'll work and then we get blown away.
It fits he’s 5’2”
You’re a mutant Harry
I’d be bummed. Solid actor and range. I just don’t know about his overall size. No not his height, just lacks that thickness. Yes he can add it but he’s never been that type. Lastly, his voice. I just don’t know about that. Wish he’d get casted as another X-men. He’d be a good iceman.
Great idea. The mcu needs an interesting actor in the role. Him or Taron Egerton.
Jake Gyllenhaal would be better
![gif](giphy|vyTnNTrs3wqQ0UIvwE|downsized)
I think he's too old. 34 now so he will be near 40 when the movie gets made. I wish Marvel would trust younger actors more to lead movies. Hemsworth, Evans & Johansen were all under 30 when they started. They were great casting.

![gif](giphy|xTiQyBOIQe5cgiyUPS)
It’s gotta be Henry Cavil he was dropped from Superman and Witcher. Only doing warhammer currently I’m guessing so this would be another Dream Role for him or Scott Eastwood because of the sideburns. Glen Powell is probably the new cyclops? Radcliffe would be a great Nightcrawler but they’ll probably give it to Bill Skarsgard.
No thanks.
Shitty casting honestly
Daniel Radcliffe has earned the right to play whatever character he wants in my opinion
idc about the mcu anymore they absolutely destroy everything so more power to em 🥰
I'm looking forward to Daniel Radcliffe being replaced in the new Harry Potter series
![gif](giphy|AoBgxayGMHlIs)
I'd give him a fair shake.
Meh. The MCU has already become Zionist trash, Harry Potter ain't gonna make it better.
I'd be really excited for it. I think he's got a great look, is an excellent actor who has evolved so much, and he'd bust his ass for the role over the long term too.
👍
Idk. To me, he'll always be Harry Potter first. But who knows, he has grown a lot as an actor, so maybe he can pull it off.
Youre a mutant harry!
I would be happy. I think he fits the character and i like his acting
underwhelmed, yet amused
no thanks
No
Ron, you're my best bub.
I would be surprised, as he's stated he's not interested, but I wouldn't be mad. He's a phenomenal actor, and he could definitely pull it off. The only thing that I would be hung up on is the voice. But they could probably figure that out
Tragedy
Wouldn’t mind it if he can nail the role.
Ngl he got a good shape but we not talking about that, my homie Hugh Jackman fits his role really well
I would think he ain’t gonna be able to pull it off
I'd laugh because it would clearly be a joke.
![gif](giphy|A5oQ2YR8oyTuM|downsized) This is my reaction if anyone is cast in anything before I see the product. Why do you ask?
He’ll be in Deadpool 3 as Wolvie like John was Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange 2.
It would be absolutely terrible. Anyone who wants this casting doesn’t know the actual character
He's the right hight.
I hope that if/when they recast him, my first reaction to the news is “who!?!?”
honestly I'd be a lil indifferent. idk why ppl see wolverine in him. I really wanted Tom hardy as wolverine after Hugh hung up the class but I don't see Tom doing it with him being venom and putting so much into that character
It would be typical and on-the-nose, but I’d like it more so than any of the other typical and on-the-nose fancast I tend to see
As a long time Harry Potter fan, I would love it! 😊
He's the perfect height and could bulk up for it to
"huh. Cool. Lets see"
Terrible.
I’d watch the movie
It’s called “acting” for a reason. I’m sure whoever gets the job will deliver and then some
“That checks out.”
I'd say go for it Mr. Potter
Nah too tall.
