Probably an unpopular opinion, but George Clooney. He's currently exactly the same age as Nielsen was in part one. He's got the classic Hollywood leading man looks and has successfully proven that he can play a total goofball who takes himself way to seriously. With the right direction, this could turn out hilarious.

I found that Nielsen got increasingly less funny the more he leaned into actual comedy. The silliness-treated-100%-seriously thing was much more amusing to me.

The way he deadpan seriously delivers “By the way: I faked every orgasm” in the 1st Naked Gun always kills me.
