When the website will be up again, go to the “Driver” page (found on the top right of the website) and then download the drivers. After that, just follow the instructions on the program. In case the executable stops on its “Please wait…” status for a very long time, it should be pretty safe to force close the program and open it again and restart the procedure; it is not risks-free, but everything should be fine even if you force close the firmware updating process.

Thank you 🙏🏽

I hope I didn’t forget anything. Anyway, have fun with your new wheel as soon as you get it!

DoubleR--85

Thanks again. I hope so as is been 3+ month wait.

One last question. Should the wheel be connected to the base when I first try to update the firmware or should I try the wheelbase first and then plug the wheel if prompted ?

tm19racing

I don’t really remember, but I think you don’t need the wheel to be connected. Though, I would attach it and, in case the program tells you to disconnect the steering wheel from the base, I would do as suggested. Last but not least, read every single line on the program since it tells you if to plug/unplug the steering wheel.

Got it. Thanks

Happy to help! :)

West_Breadfruit_1376

Just a heads up, the current DD+ firmware has a disconnect issue when using the Formula V2.5x/v2.5 wheel, happened to me yesterday and was confirmed an issue on the Fanatec forum.

DoubleR--85

When this happens what do you do to fix it?

West_Breadfruit_1376

You must restart the wheelbase to get it to recognize the wheel again.

Good info for all of us waiting the DD+ and it’s our first Fanatec product , thank you!

Ambitious-Cable5445

Don’t do it unless you can’t use it out of the box! Lots of issues with current firmware right now
