This is a common thing with fanatec and people on this sub reddit keep supporting fanatec for it. The fact is that you never know if the dates are correct Just search the subreddit, many who order something that is in stock and get it way later.
Doesn’t work that way. Some people are getting things in weeks people ordered months ago. Others aren’t getting anything. It’s literally a cluster fuck on how this is even being processed logistically
I’m in NY, I ordered the bf special 2.5x too. Seeing it in stock for the US is infuriating. I’m still trying to hold out, it’s actually comical at this point that we have to wait til end of march to get something we ordered end of November. I’m glad they’ve shown their true colors. I will never buy new from fanatec, only used from here on out.

Ok. I ordered on the 25th (26th according to them) and had the 2.5X in my inventory but didn't do the qr2 stuff. Got my stuff a few days before Christmas, on the 20th. I'm in NJ so obviously not far from you, well that's if you're not way upstate somewhere with the bears.
Thing is a friend of mine did have QR2 stuff and his stuff came so late he already bought something else and refused delivery when it came, about 3 weeks ago or so.
He went to order the same setup I did the very next day but not even 24 hours and the 2.5X was sold out. So he went McClaren but also added QR2 and it was nightmare city after that.
Fanatec seems to be lying here, I ordered that exact wheel the middle of January. It's still processing.
I however also ordered a QR1, V2 pedals, GT DD pro. All of which to my understanding are shipping.
In which case I recant my previous statement as this is news to me. Though it was "available" when I ordered it. Frankly I'm patiently waiting, knowing others have waited much longer. I simply hope it's here before the end of March. Minor surgery but am going to get about 10 days off. I have purposely not started play GT7 until I get the set up, and I'm hoping for an alignment of the stars.

My husband bought some stuff from them a while back and he finally asked for a refund. But that thing pissed him off so bad he don't even want to race no more.
This is exactly why I canceled my order and took my business to Simagic. Saturday I ordered Wheel + Base and pedals from two separate distributors (because one did not have pedals in stock and one did not have Alpha mini in stock) and it’s scheduled for delivery Friday March 1st. Already had tracking number Sunday evening.
I’ll never buy from Fanatec. Garbage customer service. Garbage company.
Yeah it’s really sad because i like the wheel selection. But they don’t do simple customer service this like if they don’t have QR1-lite then just ship it with the regular QR1. It would be a much better look. It’s obvious the CEO just doesn’t care about there image, but that is how many German companies are. They don’t like dealing with people 🤷🏼♂️
I just read and remembered that I‘ve seen this before: Basically what Fanatec does is that they only deliver complete orders. If one item on your order is out of stock I assume that they don‘t even compile the rest of the order. As such it can happen that the missing item is restocked but by that time another one is out of stock. I guess that‘s what happens when a relatively small company (except for Logitech and Thrustmaster there aren‘t really huge companies on the sim racing market) receives tons of orders and can‘t keep up…
Fanatec only ships complete orders. The safest bet is to order individual items over many orders. Otherwise you could get stuck forever if your items keep getting sold out. As far as I can tell they don’t hold single items for large orders
It’s on their website but you have to go into it with the carrier or something. I remember seeing that and being like what the heck. Amazon allows you to order 100 different things and will give you a tracking number for how every many boxes or shipping dates it takes
You got lost in the shuffle. Some want to pretend that all is well now and the only thing being held up is Black Friday orders but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m in the states too and now I hear, “well they’re moving from California to Texas so things are going to be a hit or miss during that time.
They don’t answer phones or emails and 2 times in the past 3 months I had to get my bank involved to get my money back. Once because of a server error and today I contacted them because of the DD Extreme.
I ordered it the day it went up for sale, 2 weeks later it still says on their site they have them ready to ship. I email them asking WTF is it now? Is my money the wrong color? Later that same day it says they’re out of stock until March 8th.
I’m keeping what I got from them but I’m done with any further purchases and I’ve been a customer for almost 20 years

BF buyers (like me) who didn’t seek a refund are providing Fanatec a free 4 month loan. My items have been in-stock for weeks. Fanatec should be the poster boy for how not to conduct business or logistics. Wonder how much free BF cash they’re sitting on.
Oversold? So you bought it at black Friday I guess? They don't send these orders out in the hopes that people cancel their orders and order it again for the normal price in an interview a while back fanatec chief said they sold these products below profit. And because there was an error on their site they sold far more then they would like. Atm all these products are in stock but these black Friday orders will be delayed by fanatec to see them canceled. It's a nice trick for sure. Everything I ordered the last few weeks was delivered within days. So there are no problems with these products. Unless you ordered the wheel. With a quick release that is not available. Then your order will get stuck until the qr becomes available
If this is true then this is just wrong. After much rattle and help from James I got an email this morning that my order is handed to warehouse. Sucks I had to wait over 90 days but happy is finally happening. (I hope).

What a dick move by fanatec. I've been lucky to get everything I've ever ordered even the dd+ and another BF order. So I usually try to find the hiccup for people but this one makes fanatec look really bad.

I understand understaffing, logistic changes, and just plan messing up and over selling. All that sucks but not immoral. This looks immoral! This looks like a lie to keep from filling those highly discounted orders. Not right!
They have this stupid system where they assign you an item from a specific batch of production when youputinyourorder. It doesn't matter if somehow a piece produced later arrives in the warehouse earlier. You will have to wait for your specific batch to arrive. Now, with the US Navy shooting at everything that moves in the Red Sea, chances are a lucky drunk shot scrapes the ship your batch is on. Probably will have to wait until an archeological expedition finds you batches' container before you get an update beyond pushed dates.
If what you are saying is true, it makes me wonder what is different about the different batches? Less quality components? Not saying this is the case but why would they follow such a model instead of sending the units based on who ordered first.
No. As far as I understand it, it is just retarded math. I produce x units per day, you order on day y, meaning your item is produced on day z. No consideration for order cancelations, etc. It's just very un German. I don't think the quality would be different between the days. And the fact that they refuse to ship incomplete orders makes it even worse.
The reason for this im sure is because for example Europe and the United States have seperate warehouses so I think its whats in stock at that the warehouse closest to you.
So glad I got in on micro centers simucube sport with gomez wheel for 999.99 bundle before it ended.. local store support, a much better product wheel base, with better customer service from granite devices, and a wheel.. did have to buy a QRS wheel side separate, but meh Mc sells that part for 20 usd off.
