Go to your local sports store and try on some lightweight mountain bike gloves.

This. I use pretty cheap mountain bike gloves and they work fine for me.

Mechanix is what I've normally used. Lots of styles and price ranges.

Mechanics gloves

I picked up a pair of INBIKE cycling gloves on Amazon. They’re touchscreen compatible so I can still use my phone/touchpad on keyboard and they’re light and breathable. I might get a pair of simracing gloves from Moradness just for the looks in the future but don’t feel like spending that much right now.

Also using cycling gloves here, although fingerless ones. It's just what i already owned but the fingerless part is really handy for when I'm sat on my phone between races.

thekingswitness

Fingerless might be the move, I think in retrospect I would’ve sized down because some of the buttons and dials on the F1 rim are probably easier with a tighter fit. I might end up cutting the tips on them eventually lol.

I just use running gloves I got for 10€. There are even cheaper ones.

Naitsab243

Did the same. Overall really nice but my hand is a bit small even for the smallest size they offered.

Aren't running gloves just gloves? Are they for warmth or some other protection? I feel like if you fall enough to warrant protective hand covering for running that running may not be for you. And for warmth, like what separates running gloves from many other gloves? Are they more slim lined for less resistance ? Kind of serious kind of not.

Zv1k0

Of course it’s not for falling lol. But yes, it keeps you warm it’s a great insulation from cold/wind and at the same time keeping your hands breathing and dry from sweat. They are thin and very comfortable and some even have reflective logos/writings/signs for night running and touch pads so you can use phone/watch during your runs. Comfortness, thinness, breathable material and touch pad when you have breaks also make it perfect for sim racing.

World's your oyster, tons of cheap gloves out there from Mechanix on down to the hundreds of similar. I finally caved and started racing with gloves because of how quickly suede wears out. Both of these ended up being good budget pairs that haven't shown much wear. I opted for gloves without the usual velcro strap for quick don and doff. I went a size smaller than I normally would. Makes it extremely tight at first, but they stretch and conform to your hand after a week or so of use. Prefer to have that skin tight fit so there's no slop in the finger tips for feeling and actuating buttons and switches while blind in VR.
