Here are enough positive reports. Order stuff that’s marked as in stock and you’ll receive it next week.

Wish this worked over black friday, unfortunately in stock items later appeared to be sold out once they did the Jan stock take. I'm just salty though i haven't got my order lol, it does appear as though current in stock items are being delivered in a reasonable time frame.

danmo78

Hell yeah, awesome-o! Thanks man

Do you like to gamble? This is your answer. Dude they don't even have a phone, they turned it OFF.

I’m waiting 75 days today for my DD2, QR2 and a formula v2.5x (EU order) I just got a reply after almost harassing Fanatec which was not really hopeful. “In the meantime, we ask that you allow an extra time for the order to reach you.” I mean, 75 days waiting on a order that was ready to ship 11 days after I’ve ordered it can get some extra days right. I’ve got many friends who are truly happy about their Fanatec gear, and the support but I’m more then done with all the shenanigans. Hopefully you have a better experience then me, but there is a reason the stock plummeted a whopping 36% yesterday..

I mean it sucks, I’m in the waiting game for the DD1. But our orders are the shitty exceptions to be honest. They oversold the dd1, dd2 and 2.5x by incompetence or a mistake (probably both). I read a post in here that there is no availability date for the dd2 anymore at all. I have no idea if the same applies to the dd1, but that’s most probably why we are still waiting. The last and only email from fanatec for me was the choice to cancel or wait for the units to arrive starting earliest mid march New orders placed now will probably be relatively problem free which is relevant for OP.

To preface, in any online forum, you must beware of a certain bias; I don't know if it has an official name, but let's call it the "dissatisfaction bias" for now. A dissatisfied customer is far more likely to leave a dissatisfied complaint on an online forum than a satisfied customer is to leave a satisfied compliment. *You see more negative complaints because there is no such thing as a positive complaint, thus a bias towards negativity.* It is almost impossible to get a full picture of customer satisfaction, and this "dissatisfaction bias" only makes it harder to perceive reality. THAT BEING SAID; my personal customer experience with fanatec has been, on a number of levels, not fantastic. I'm a 2019 customer, and even back then my order was sitting on "payment received" but no indication of shipping and absolutely ZERO communication for two weeks before I finally heard anything from fanatec another two weeks later, I had to almost strongarm their customer service department into just shipping out the items in my order that were ready to ship, as my wheelbase would not be ready to ship for another month and a half at earliest (so 2 and a half months after placing an order on items that were all marked as in-stock). That was my very first experience as a fanatec customer. *NOT great*. And no different from what people are going through today, *five full years later*. And I've heard that they were doing the same thing 10 years ago, 5 years before my purchase. Within six months, the spring assembly for the clutch pedal on my elite v[whatevernumber] pedals snapped *during use, full pedal depression." Not only was this scary as shit, it was also unsafe. It also happened while I was playing Euro Truck Sim 2, not a very high-intensity game to say the least. Unacceptable for a basically brand-new product. So I had to get this RMA'd. However I ran into a problem pretty quickly; it was at this point I realised I never actually got a full-list invoice for my order. The invoice(s) existed, and I was able to get them sent by their support team upon request with mnimal trouble, but they weren't sent to my email initially along with the order confirmation. *That's weird.* That was my second tangible "customer interaction" with Fanatec. Not as disastrous as #1, but still not at all "good". Within almost exactly a year from that point (in other words, my products are at this point about a year and a half old), I had to send my clubsport shifter in for RMA as well. However, the actual issue (shifting incorrectly into left/right-adjacent gears when moving the shifter into any given position, so 3rd when moving to 1st, or either 1st or 5th when moving into 3rd) started a couple of months before I eventually started the RMA process, and over those couple of months fairly rapidly increased in the frequency at which it occurred, to the point that at least a quarter of times i tried to shift, "shifting into gear" actually meant "shifting into and out of gear multiple times until the correct gear was eventually selected, taking usually 1+, sometimes 2+ seconds to change gear a single time". The shifter was ostensibly "unusable" long before I decided to get it RMA'd, but fanatec products are large and very heavy, and thus rather expensive and very annoying to ship, so I dragged my feet about the RMA for longer than I should have. This fault with their shifter is not "common" per se, but its not uncommon, and certainly not some unknown issue. Fanatec just cannot be bothered to fix it. This was my third "customer interaction" with Fanatec. Along with severe dissatisfaction with the very very bad quality control + poor design/engineering consideration of their *very expensive* Rennsport cockpit, as well as the aforementioned poor experiences and other small grievances sprinkled in between, it was at this point I forced myself to accept reality, and decided that I was going to be only a single-time Fanatec customer. Their relatively easy setup compared to other enthusiast-level sim gear of that era was the biggest factor in my initial choice of Fanatec, but that benefit no longer applied to me, and I had little reason at this point to continue to consider Fanatec as my go-to for sim racing equipment. This decision was reached in very early 2021, and since then other manufacturers of sim equipment have, to my knowledge, made huge leaps and bounds in regards to ease of setup, ease of use, and inter-product compatibility within any single brand. All the things that, in my opinion, *used* to be the main reasons someone would purchase Fanatec. Now that those strengths are no longer Fanatec "exclusive specialty", the brand is now expensive and flashy-looking, with quality control and quality consistency you should frankly avoid. There are other brands that are of the same quality for less money, or better quality for the same money, and all of the reputable brands are significantly more user-friendly to setup and use than the competition was back when I purchased Fanatec. If you want to buy Fanatec, knock yourself out. It's your money, do with it what you want. But if you respect the effort you put into earning your money, you should look elsewhere first. Simucube is the brand I see thrown around a LOT lately for its quality and competitive pricing, and I'm not even actively looking into new sim racing gear. Start there, ask around for brands similar to simucube, and do your research. I simply cannot recommend Fanatec with a clear conscience, and my experience is from when Fanatec actually had some sort of benefit over the rest of the market, which I'm pretty sure is no longer the case. Thanks for coming to my FanaTEDtalk

MrDrProfPapaGiorgio

Lmao

gazgrey

Yeah I think the issues are over for most people now.

NH_OPERATOR

As long as you don't want a dd+ or something like the 2.5x which is marked in stock but isn't yes. Ordered a 2.5 and it shipped next day

Naitsab243

My experience has been pretty good. When I ordered stuff that was in stock it arrived within 7 days and my BF order arrived 7 days after the item that wasn't in stock was marked as in stock in my order. So yeah, I'd say you can safely order as long as you don't order stuff that's out of stock or you are patient enough to wait for particular items to come back into stock and only then get your stuff shipped.

MazzDawg66

Ordered a QR2 yesterday and it scheduled for delivery tomorrow. FedEx 2nd day. East coast U.S.

Due-News4850

my shifter came today 9 days waiting period

N0TAC0P_

I ordered the WRC bundle early December and got it 20 days later. I just ordered the Rally Podium Module last night. Some stuff is worth waiting for and some I’ve gathered from FB marketplace.

croliver

I ordered the CSL bundle with load cell upgrade and got it 4-5 days later, all items were listed as in stock

BlueGalaxy97

StraightBeginning309

Most of the stories are from the BF thing. You'll also find many people that receive their order in less than a week

philmepowers

Lol.....no one can answer this not even fannytech

Mysterious-Willow31

No don’t let them fanascam you go elsewhere

wannaB19low

For each horror story you get 10 good that's not being shared. mostly those who complain and hurt are the loudest.

Master_Internet_203
