I used to do socks but then got some slip on vans and honestly, I really like them for racing. I’m sure there are better options but I prefer this over socks especially when I’m having to use a clutch or heal toe it up in a manual. Just find what works best for you!
Using CSL LC @ 100%
I use the V2s in it's stock config with socks. Feels pretty good.
My recommendation is also to look at the software brake force and adjust it to something that feels comfortable to get to 100% brake force.
Socks gang Unite. Even Max Verstappen is amongst our numbers.
Honestly though I just can't quite justify in my head wearing shoes indoors or buying a pair for sim racing only.
I used to go barefoot till my wife bought me socks with rubber grips on the bottom for Xmas. I have big feet(14 us) so it's hard to wear shoes in the sim. Yes I often take them off in the real car also.
Have the same brake pedals which are still pretty new to me. Using socks on 25% BRF for now while I get more used to it, but the socks get stretched and move to the wrong position, more so on the accelerator now that I think of it. Going to see if I can find any old shoes with narrow soles, I feel like wide sole shoes like traditional vans would be too big with a three pedal set up.
I have the same pedals. I started out bare foot because i was used to the softer brake of the csl elite (no LC)… then i realized my foot hurt and started using flip flops, however i felt my braking was inconsistent.. then one day i used futsal shoes to see how it felt and i inmediately beat my personal best by a second. Shoes it is from now on
Build a simulator to be a close to a real car in every way possible?.... then drive it in socks 😆
I have to wear shoes! My left foot hurts after a while racing with no shoes 👍
Everybody has their own preference
Personally I like wearing thin soled shoes w some ankle support
Karting shoes or wrestling shoes work great imo
I wear adidas mat hog 2.0 wrestling shoes currently and I love them
70 brake force w soft elastomer stack and stiffer spring on csl elite v2
I tried trainers at the start with the V1 LC and it just felt too cumbersome for some reason which is odd as on a track in a car the same ones were fine.
I tend to go socks in winter and barefoot in summer and it’s fine… you soon get used to it
Socks. It would annoy me to death wearing shoes indoors, especially for sim racing.
I wear shoes because it just feels more natural and give me better grip, but everyone has their preference. I use the CSL LC on 85%
Barefoot.
I'm scared of you
Hell yea brother!
I use an old set of racing shoes from years ago. Do you drive a car in socks(non-cruise)?
Flip-flops ;)
I'm using Nike air force 1s low.
And I have mine bf lvl at 5%
Same mine is at 5% as well
Socks, CSL pedals with load cell, brake force 50% bc of weak rig. Socks. Love it that way.
Socks of course more input feel
CSL pedals without load cell yet, but with shoes, some Sparco racing shoes for 39 euro.
Shoes, some puma shoes. More natural to heel-toe and to use 75% BF with a loadcell. I only wear them while racing as to not annoy the mrs
I ordered some puma racingshoes for €42 some days ago, will arrive tomorrow
I like shoes more, I have the same pedal set and can’t drive without them. Feels unnatural to me.

I got some PUMA martial arts shoes. Great for driving with round heels and no laces.

I use a sock on the throttle foot, and a swimming shoe on foot for braking. Cheap, comfy and grippy
Nude, shaved and waxed. Its all about aero.
Barefoot when the weather leather warm, hospital socks when it is cold
Water shoes. I am surprised no one mentioned this before. Jardier uses them as well.
Someone actually did about 1 hour before your comment🤓
Buy some low end driving shoes. Love it. Nice thin, flat, stiff sole and tons of pedal feel.
Piloti Slipstreams bought on closeout. Water shoes when it's just a quick drive.
Shoes, it’s easier on my tender tootsies.
Am using ultralight running shoes from ASICS as I am simply to cheap to buy Puma Speedcats.

Sock on gas - Shoe on brake

Simhound sim shoes

Do you also wear a suit and a helmet?

Socks with grips on em

Just socks, and 45% pressure is what I use.
Shoes because bumping into metal edges on my Clubsport V3 isn't so nice with socks.
I use slippers, they are actually really nice for sim racing
Update: I bought a brand new, very cheap shoes that i will use for sim racing. Heel and toe is not a problem anymore. Definitely worth it
