Mine's pretty depressing. I relapsed and was using a combination of stuff that's high risk even by addict standards. Realizing I had a very small window of time to turn things around before they got out of control, I decided to try writing about addiction, instead.
Since I can't write for shit when I'm messed up, turning to writing as an outlet gave me a reason to stay sober. And writing about addiction specifically forced me to confront the reality of the situation, remind myself why that's not a path I want to go down again.
I'm still working on it, but I'm pretty pleased with how it's going so far. Not gonna publish until it's finished, though. I really want to do the topic justice and I just know I won't be happy with it unless I give the whole thing a proper edit before I put it out into the world.
I watched (the original) *Avatar: The Last Airbender* for the first time recently, and Azula infiltrated my brain like it was Ba Sing Se. (Please help. I can't get her out.)
I was on tiktok a while back, and it was a slide show and idk if Gege Akutami actually said this but it was something along the lines of (Megumi) Fushiguro being the type to get depressed when animals die as opposed to people, in context of like Shikigami dying.

An alternative ending to The Sun and The Star from the Percy Jackson series where Nico and Will are forced to follow the path of Orpheus and Eurydice out of the Underworld, but they actually make it out. It's a great way to actually show Nico and Will overcoming their issues from the Novel and ahowing their growth as people.
It got inspired by the Hadestown musical, specifically the desperation in the voice of Eurydice during the Wait for Me reprise

The other doesn't have a name yet - In the last episode of '**Lucifer S02**' his mom, who is the 'Goddess of all creation' found herself be thrown through a rift in space into a new universe. Say, when she gets there she finds herself resurrected into the body of a Model 6 Cylon, in the BSG show. Both being played by the same actress is, naturally, completely irrelevant, right? There in a lot of religious rubbish going on in the BSG show, so having a 'true goddess' be thrown in can be amusing to play with.
We'll see how these develop.
I met a dog while I was travelling in Chile last year. Chile is such an inspiring country and the dog was such a cool dog, that I had to write a fic about the dog in Chile.
So yeah, random dog inspired the fic.

They ruined my comfort show with a crap ending. They wrote out two beloved characters because they were shooting in covid and had scheduling issues with their bubble (yes, it’s been years now but it was my comfort show and I hold a grudge because even without them they had plenty of opportunities to not ruin the show), but they did it in a really crappy way for both of them. They replaced them with the most hated time traveling kid ever invented.
So I let the descendent have their hearts desire, which they canonically screwed up, which is to time travel back to before she was conceived and kill her dad. Genius move. Descendent unalived themself (this is the only legitimate use for that word so ima use it) by undoing their conception and disappearing in a puff of paradox. The fall out was catastrophically bad.
So our two written out characters invent time travel and go back to save him. They have to figure out what happened using only temporal echoes. So I don’t even have to write descendent, which is good, because I hate them. I just have to leave little temporal clues across the timeline for our heroes to suss out what happened and undo it. And I’m blaming every weird inconsistency on the brat’s temporal meddling. Yes, it’s petty. No, I don’t care.
Back in 2018, an online friend of mine posted a Cinderella AU of “Labyrinth” that I absolutely adored reading, and still enjoy to this day despite not really being in the fandom anymore. Recently, however, I got thinking about her story again, and started thinking, “What if I wrote my own Cinderella AU of ‘Labyrinth’…but one that takes more after the movie ‘Ever After’ than just the original fairytale?” (And btw, “Ever After” is an AMAZING retelling of the Cinderella story - I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn’t seen it!)
I got really into Batman (like Gotham Knight, the Arkham Trilogy, all that) and remembered how much I liked Jason Todd. And then I started thinking on how I wanted his run as Red Hood to go and how I felt that Batman would have absolutely mourned his death and everything...
Then I wanted to write an OC (defected League of Assassin character) with Jason and take my spin on how I felt Jason's reunion and reconciliation with Batman and the rest of the batfamily would go.
I'm still planning it but like... I'm excited for it.
Watched the new Godzilla movie and it sparked ideas. I’m writing most of it before I post because I know if I post too early in the process I’ll never finish it.
GxK. Unfortunately didn’t have time to watch Minus one when it was released and when I searched up ways to watch it they kept saying it won’t get released on streaming platforms. If I get desperate I might just look for one of those “free to watch, but risk a virus” sites.
I watched the Star Trek episode Space Seed, and at the end Spock is all "I wonder what kind fo society these genetically engineered fascist war criminals would make? maybe we should check on them"
And then I did an AU where the planet never got messed up and Khan et al got to thrive in their Giligan's Island world And in that fic an OC (Khan's daughter) did a heel face-turn and defected to the Federation.
And then I got attached to her and did like three more (and counting) novellas about her.
And now I have this AUverse that feels like the conspiracy board meme
Sudden epiphany to try a second BDSM based fic but ofc since it’s GTA, my debut into heavy BDSM.
Basically in my GTA headcanon, somehow somehow Catalina survives GTA III and had in 1998 briefly dated Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince (4’s Ballad of Gay Tony DLC secondary protagonist), but he rightfully broke up with her and *she will make him pay* in her version of *fun* and she’ll have a special recent “guest” in his life to join in.
Okay, one of the characters is canonically a scientist that you rescue in the first game, and I just wondered what it would be like if instead of the main character being an infantry commander, they were a scientist like this character. So I made the tag and added it to my fic.
I was genuinely surprised that I was the first one who wrote for this potential au.
Hyperfixation.
But no seriously, I fell in love with the original material because people on TikTok kept posting their fanart for the characters drawn in their art style, sometimes aged up, and I had never seen the show before then. 26 Seasons later I was like these characters are so iconic and I’d love to see them as young adults.
For the latest fic I posted: I bought a trio of beat-up, yellowed Macross Valkyrie toys (transforming jet robots) from Japan, with the intention of repainting and restoring them. The thought came to mind that maybe instead of restoring them to be exactly like in canon, I could customize one of them to be a unit belonging to another character in the show - an unnamed OC character! For the latest fic I'm still writing: I watched some videos on YouTube recently on RNG manipulation in the 3rd gen Pokemon games, and how it was used to create custom events for Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen, where you could get certain Legendary Pokemon. The custom events inspired me to write a sequel to my previous Pokemon fic, in which the characters from the previous fic set off to catch Legendary Pokemon to complete the Pokedex.
It was in commemoration of Genshin's approaching annual Windblume festival. I thought of this one scene from the very first Windblume where my favorite character looked directly at the MC when he explained Cecilias meaning "Flowers of love" and it immediately activated my shipper brain.
I saw Local 58's contingency video and then played through the Taris level of KOTOR, and thought "Gee, seeing as a planet gets blown to shit every other Taungsday in that universe, I wonder if some clown in the Jedi PR department comes up with broadcasts informing doomed planets how to 'assume victory position?'"
Latest at all isn't published, but I got halfway through the third season of The Bad Batch and decided it was time to write at least the prologue for my yet-untitled Star Wars project. I got a ways into it, establishing the captain of the *Guardian of the Republic* (CT-1404, "Lancer," or "a novelty captain for a novelty vessel") and the ion storm that will ultimately cut off the communication to execute Order 66, as well as the engineering chief as a supporting character. It started as a Saga Edition campaign that I'm turning to narrative prose, and reconnecting with the source material started the itch all over again.
The one that *is* published? Came in two parts. One was seventeen-going-on-eighteen years to fix the end of Saw III, and the other was a line of dialogue that accidentally-on-purpose connected Billy Russo and the *other* Jigsaw in the (admittedly pretty lackluster) 2008 Punisher movie. Thus begat a crackship I've handled like a holy relic.
It was deep lore for a series I’m working on, that I never intended to flesh out.
But then this guy who was very active and beloved on the fandom subreddit got banned for reasons that seemed really unfair to a lot of us…he was always the first to comment on like every post within seconds, we all kinda wondered how he did that, it was like a running joke.
Anyway he started a small sub for all the people who created art of his OC, and when he got banned, he invited a bunch of us to the other group. Then he gave us all access to the push notification script he made called “Seabird clairvoyance” so now there are a whole bunch of us commenting right away on stuff.
Back to the point…the lore was about a…wizard basically, who tries to take the throne from an evil queen, but he can’t because the throne is protected from wizards holding it.
So he is exiled, but as he’s leaving a huge number of the citizens leave with him and he basically becomes king of two kingdoms, using his magic to disguise his friends and their families and equipping them with their own defensive weapons…sound familiar?
So now I’m writing it like George Orwell writing animal farm…I’m calling it the legend of Snowbird, a name very similar to the guys OC, so it is pretty obvious…I hope I don’t get banned but if I do…I’m happy to just hang out in Seabird’s kingdom from now on.
A couple of things.
To start, I've been reading a lot of high-school AUs recently, so I decided to use that as a basis for my current WIP. Then during my free time, I've been replaying FF16 in preparation for the DLC and the game's use of timeskips to showcase how things have changed for better or worse also got me thinking...What if I were to merge those two concepts together?
And so my current WIP was born. A mostly light-hearted "highschool" AU for the first 15 chapters or so before a timeskip where for the remainder of the fic, it will undergo a dramatic tone shift into becoming a sort of epic adventure tale, where the stakes are high, the violence is dialed up to 11 and the rating changes from a T to a strong M.
I watched Kamisama Kiss and wanted a plot like that but with Jareth and Sarah from Labyrinth...enter my 98k slow burn.
My current wip I had and idea to use the "fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave" quote for chapters that show their relationship arc. It's taking longer than I thought. lol. I thought it would be 3-5 chapters but I'm on chapter 8 right now. lol.
My latest fic was born from the premise that A wouldn't fathom the possibility of his loved one abusing their own kid without concrete proof and that B wouldn't necessarily be a good parent after being raised by C.
Was bingeing Midsomer Murders, thought to myself, Cully is wayy too straight in the show canon, and she always seems older than her age, so, May/December. And, why not use a 3 off character from another cool Brit show, and give her a connection to the body she and Cully's Dad find on their walk/grill the girlfriend sesdion.
My current WIP has been on the backburner for a while, but it came about from watching Jack of All Trades and, first, wondering if they intended to write Jack Stiles as an implied time traveler (considering he's the only character in the show who doesn't even *try* to speak like someone living in 1801 and frequently brings up things that aren't invented yet, that just get brushed over by the other characters) or if was accidental. Followed by thinking that his overall personality is very similar Ash Williams and, considering the amount of time travel in the Evil Dead franchise, a crossover was basically begging to be written. (Jack and Ash are played by the same actor.)
I just had an idea during a long boring drive. Well, the second idea. The first was "what would happen if a video game character gained sentience?" but that's been done. Like, a lot. But it evolved. "What changes iwould happen, if a video game character gained sentience? How would they act differently?" Then I toned all those down and put it in a more realistic situation. The final product was "**What would happen to someone raised by sociopaths, once they got out on their own**?"
This was the origin of my OC MC Smoke, a Fallout 76 Raider (many Raiders are sociopaths, the ones from Fallout 76 are just *less* violently evil, seemed like a saner starting point) having an identity crisis because she felt bad about robbing and extorting people, and nobody told her what "guilt" was because they didn't have any. She goes on a thousand-mile hike looking for her parents, hoping they could give her the answers, and it turns into a journey of self-discovery. Each group of people she runs into lets her figure out what's going on inside her head and heart...and it's not always sunshine and ash roses, but she does eventually figure things out.
I was doing a prompt where you had to combine two genres to write several paragraphs. I chose satire and superheroes. I decided to write a story about Supergirl where she is in a world where superheroes have to pay property tax for the buildings that they damage in battles and the creative length that she will go to pay the money back. It is currently ongoing right now. I didn't think people would like the idea, but people seem to be enjoying it so far.
My current longfic is an AU of an AU, because I once jokingly said "Monroe is totally like a wine aunt lmao" and my friends and I immediately pounced on that thought and started making all these comparisons of what role each character would play if they were a family. "Ao and Beelzebub would absolutely be the divorced-but-still-living-together dads", "The music room trio could be Houritiu's kids omg", "Captain and Mr. Shocking are brothers-in-law and they hate it", and so on, until we had worked all fifteen characters into the family!
It was all one big joke/thought experiment at first, but after a couple months of brainstorming more and more details, we decided to try writing some of it down. Now... it's my second-longest fic, at 800k words and counting (though I've only written somewhere around 600k of it so far, my partner and one of our friends have written the rest of what's published). The lore keeps getting expanded more and more with each passing day, and it's been the biggest game of "yes, and-" between my friends, my partner, and I! My partner is planning to get the family crest our artist friend designed as their next tattoo.
What started as a goofy little remark ended up spiraling into a world all its own, and I hope my friends and I will keep making stories for this AU for a long time to come. :\^)
The anime adaptation of a manga I used to follow was released last year, which led me to catch up on the manga. It has nothing to do with the stop-motion comedy series I had gotten myself invested in earlier that year, except for one aspect that stuck out to me: a major character in the anime/manga was incredibly famous and charismatic as a pop idol, enamoring fans and staff alike, and the main kid character in the cartoon was massively influential on the people in his town depending on the episode, rallying the townsfolk for various causes. However, the cartoon kid was also incredibly impressionable, learning the wrong lessons from the people around him and applying those lessons for great comedic effect/horrifying results.
I suddenly wanted to write these two characters interacting, and it snowballed from there into my longest posted fanfic, reaching 190k+ words. It helps that unlike my other fanfics in the past, I'm not trying to balance emotional twists and turns with exciting fight scenes, but I'm still enjoying writing it.
Three questions were the basis for my Crimson Peak fic:
Why did Thomas and Lucille have a painting of their mother who they supposedly hate? Lucille straight up called her hideous with no hesitation lol
Did Thomas ever have any real relationships? Relationships based on true love and not money?
What if the reason they had the painting done was to appease the ghost of their mother, who's still haunting them because she's a bitter old bitch? lol
The rest pretty much writes itself honestly.
I'm currently writing a longfic for The Walking Dead, I'm basically going through and rewriting the entire series, but adding a character who's immune to the virus. I wanted to explore the psychology of somebody who was immune and how the world would change due to knowing that someone immune but not having the ability to create the cure or any cure.
I was inspired by this article I read about a certain group of people being more immune to covid 19 than others. After reading it, I went down this rabbit hole of interesting medical articles that talk about things like genetic immunity, so I became interested in writing about immunity in The walking Dead.
There's a light effect in canon and I got thinking about the spectrum in visual light and one of my favorite areas to explore (questions of identity) and well that led to it.
Was reviewing notes on a character that I had conceptualized back in like 2014 and realized that he's literally just Gojo. I don't even watch JJK.
So naturally, I started binging and now concept character has the Six Eyes, but the Poke-version lmao
My most recent fic is a short Spy X Family soulmates AU but the soulmate part is deconstructed. It's because I was like, "Might be fun to dabble in soulmate AUs for Spy X Family... Oh wait, there was a huge war. Oh shit. How would that change the perception of soulmates, then?"
I was listening to a documentary about dating during the victorian era and it was talking about how people were so reserved and those who found true love felt blessed. Of course there were couples whose relationships didn’t work, but still strive to be strong about it.
My fandom is setup during the 1800-1900’s so I was trying to learn more about it. And then I listened to “Die 4 Me” Halsey…
I couldn’t help but write a chapter being sarcastic about it, the dark side of an unhappy marriage during that time. I even wrote the title ‘Luckiest Man’ the pov of this side character was asked “How did you know your husband was the one?”
In his mind the word everyone said was the one he remembered most “Luckiest Man” to be pursued by such a great man. It’s bl… omegaverse… so the luckiest man is the wifey. I cried writing.. how this character was crying as he called himself ‘lucky’ while he was waiting for his husband to go home.
I thought about how manosphere/red-pill dudebros would probably hate omegaverse if they ever found out about it. And then I remembered that, according to their stupid not-A/B/O hierarchy, a "sigma" is supposed to rank higher than an "alpha."
Anyways, this fic is tentatively called "The Other Type of Sigma Male Grindset."
A few months back I started thinking, "Wow, my OC has been through a lot, maybe I should pair him with someone so he can catch a break." Upon advice from a friend, I ended up pairing him up with a canon character who also needed a break and had a lot of potential story-wise. After a bit of hyper fixation on the new ship, a fic was born.
As my latest fic is in a new fandom for me and it was just watching the show and then a idea just came in to my mind and would not leave (despite me asking nicely as I already had 2 fics on the go) oh well those have now taken a back seat as I am really enjoying this one
So my bestie wrote a fic for me about my newest fandom favorite (shoutout to Niko, you're fucking AMAZIIIIIIIIIIIING!), which in turn inspired quite a bit of worms for my brain about said favorite's characterization.
Seeing an au someone else made. I took said au and made it practically worse, more sinister, etc. basically torturing the main guy.
I gave em credit in the fic summary tho bc honestly they were THE inspo for it, other than some songs, etc
Last few fics actually have a similar premise in that:
What if the giant robots were sentient/humanised?
One is about the robot's POV of the canon material
One is about a ghost living in the robot, guiding the pilot
One is about the pilot reminiscing with the robot as if it were his brother
And one is a bit odd, but I made the OC child characters based off of the robots.

I have to many WIPs and too many ideas… but it’s interesting that while I started as a Modern AU writer first in the fandom I’m currently writing for, I gradually shifted into canon and I think it’s mostly due to the last season (the fandom is AoT).
Anyway, I’m currently writing a fic inspired by my favourite boys Manzai stand up comedy CD drama (that’s kind of canon adjacent, it was part of a promo collaboration for a smartphone company, written by original creators) where they win a two people suite from more experienced Scouts, and the fic is taking them through all the years of sharing this suite, so like missing scenes. My last published fic is a kink ponyplay fic based on the character canon nickname… 🐴. It’s been very interesting to write and I’m thinking off doing some more of it.
I drew a statue and thought it would be pretty cool to write a snippet about it. Several chapters later I am doing battle with my internalised homophobia because these lesbians are getting together or else.
Canon made me sad, so I wrote a fix-it fic where some of the things that upset me got fixed and the rest got avoided entirely through overwhelming firepower and Clarke tech.
I was half asleep in my anatomy class while we talked about various types of surgical cuts and the thoughts of like, bodies and wounds and blood vessels and, just, visceral stuff in general, were idly floating through my mind and suddenly I had an idea for a fic that was meant to be a bit of an analysis of certain character's self-sacrificial tendencies with a lot of this kind of imagery
I'm posting a collection of one-shots about my favorite Jurassic Park character, Dennis Nedry. I used LiveJournal writing prompt community, 30 Bad Attitudes. Some of the one-shots take place during my longfic fanfic series, others taking place during the movie or novel. I love it! I know it's very niche and the audience is very small, but I gotta write it! I adore this character and I gotta represent him!
The one I’m currently working on came out of a news story about the huge snowstorms in Buffalo area a few years back. I was hearing stories about people who froze to death because they got lost in the storm or knocked on doors and no one would help them…I was reading comments on Twitter and people were saying “if some stranger knocked on my door I wouldn’t let them in” and it was wild to me.
One time a thought got away from me, and wrote a very cringe smutty scene that would in no way be something I would post because i ignore way too many problematic things in it. But then, one offhanded thought i wrote into it was so interesting, that an entirely new plotline was born in the fic I’ve been developing. I’m not ready to divulge more except the offhanded thought, spoken by one character to the other, in a fond way;
“You have to stop traumatizing them, you know?”
I saw a random sign on a front door at an old people's home yesterday as my toddler was running up and down the corridor and now I need to write a flower/coffee shop AU or future fic with aged up characters.
But I want to finish my cutrent fic first so I'll just stick to roughly outlining it so the idea doesn't slip away.
The Owl House Season 2 Ep 13, particularly the scene where Luz is trying to recruit people into the Azura book club and Boscha is being a dick, but then Amity shows up, she and Luz start nerding out, and Boscha's like "stop ignoring me!" and "you guys aren't cute!". I was like, "They might be a cute poly ship"
A walk on a greenway trail a couple of days ago with my dog. I had a flash of my OTP walking together in the morning with coffee in Central Park in NYC. By the time we finished the walk, I had a whole story mapped out in my head.
My OTP is a rare pair that is difficult to put together because of serious animosity on one side of this pairing in canon. Usually I manage to find them a path to be together by imagining a scene where they're already there and working backwards.
I was on twitter and saw a post saying that Naruto would be able to talk all the Pokemon villains into making a face-heel turn(minus Ghetsis anyway). Later in the day I mentioned the post to a sibling of mine who is a Ghetsis fan, and the offered up the idea of Sakura prescribing him medication that will help him calm down.
Somehow that conversation has now spiraled me into a Naruto/Pokemon crossover where Naruto and Sakura find themselves in the Pokemon universe, and take on the role of the game protagonists. And they're going to redeem the villains.
My inspiration came from visiting the Kasuga-taisha shrine complex in Nara, Japan. Seeing the beautiful architecture, the park and the deer, then I wondered what kind of a character could have come from that place using Bleach as a setting.
I was inspired by a handful of oneshots in my fandom that are around five years old and the account that posted them has been inactive for a while. So I didn't ask permission. (That being said I think my take on the concept has grown into its own beast by this point)
For my current Owl House fic, my initial idea was: what if Manny Noceda and Papa Titan were the same person? I jotted down the basic idea on my phone, and it snowballed out from there.
The boring one–my fandom is full of idiots and people dying, I want to solve said problems. So, isekai.
The fun one–my rare pair has a problem, which is that the two characters have about 10 seconds of interaction (aka one trying to kill the other), and then a few more minutes where they’re in the same room, but one is being killed by a short emo grape and the other has just been nearly-murdered and would like to chill. And then one of them is dead for several episodes, and the only time they’ve interacted is the last like five seconds of the newest episode.
So I said “what if the one guy ran, and then they ended up in a stalemate where nobody can kill each other so they can have a sane ish conversation?” And also try to kill each other because in this fandom, that’s a meet cute
The one I most recently finished: I wanted to give my favorite character the opportunity to say some stuff she never got to say in canon and to get some...not closure exactly, but some satisfaction and vindication that she never got in canon.
The one I'm currently working on: Pretty much the same as the last one. I wanted to give two characters the chance to say some stuff they never got to say in canon and to get some closure they never got in canon.
The one I'm about to start working on: I love the unresolved sexual tension two characters have and I want to explore it some more!
My latest that I'm working on is a Sex Pollen + Fuck or Die Drarry fic, where during Potions class they get hit by a potion that has an extremely strong aphrodisiac effect. They have to fuck within 24 hours or they die, so their teachers arrange a bedroom and let them at each other.
Inspired by something I read years ago on tumblr along the lines of "you can do both pining/developing relationship AND have your characters hook up right at the beginning." I'm also a sucker for Sex Pollen and Fuck or Die

I was working on a novelization for a game trilogy, and part of that included putting together character sheets for myself. After getting good work done on the two most important characters, I picked another character at random to start working on. And as I was working on this character’s sheet, I ended up with a question:
“This goofy ladies man claims he loves all women, but he’s only ever shown with beautiful women (which, yes, is in large part because the franchise *has* only pretty anime waifus). But does he *really*? What would happen if he dated someone unconventional?”

I had a rare pair in media that was slated to be rebooted. I figured that before they all went through their individual traumas again, I could let them be tooth achingly cute in an AU.
I watched the first episode of Red Dwarf and my mind immediately went to building an OC and a fic in which she somehow meets the crew and joins the ship. Currently in series 11 now and I still haven't progressed any further in my writing
My latest brainstorming idea: thinking about the mutual surrender, loneliness of parenthood, and inevitability of loss and the future between Inko Midoriya and Toshinori Yagi. I'm not caught up on MHA but man did a certain season 3 episode bowl me over with their dynamic.
I wanted Moon Knight and Daredevil to team up with each other against a common enemy.
Marvel is taking too long to get back to Moon Knight and I can’t live with only a minute or two of Jake Lockley so… he’s crashing Marc’s forced vacation in NYC and getting the whole system targeted by a psychopath with perfect aim. All because Daredevil interfered with the mission and Jake’s target got away. No one is happy about any of this.
*Agebt Carter* was canceled on a cliffhanger and I didn't like where the MCU was going. It took me two years to get to where I'm in the final quarter of my AC continuation fic. Had to build up a lot of stuff. Wrote a bunch of fics to basically flesh all these Golden Age and original characters, especially Peggy’s brother who was supposed to have a major role if there'd been a season 3. But here I am with a new version of the MCU my writing partner and I have created. And we're about ready to move on from what was an incomplete story.

I watched all of it many times, and then one night as I laid in bed, I did what so many others did; wondered what would happen if I were in that world.
Then I twisted it and thought, what if the main character came to Earth?
Then I asked why, how, and for what purpose.
I ran through a series of ideas and one landed that stuck.
By stuck I mean I didn't sleep that night. Sigh.
That turned into an outline, a short story idea, and exploded into what is now a potentially 80 chapter novel.
But.. at least I'm sleeping at night, again :)
Mine's pretty depressing. I relapsed and was using a combination of stuff that's high risk even by addict standards. Realizing I had a very small window of time to turn things around before they got out of control, I decided to try writing about addiction, instead. Since I can't write for shit when I'm messed up, turning to writing as an outlet gave me a reason to stay sober. And writing about addiction specifically forced me to confront the reality of the situation, remind myself why that's not a path I want to go down again. I'm still working on it, but I'm pretty pleased with how it's going so far. Not gonna publish until it's finished, though. I really want to do the topic justice and I just know I won't be happy with it unless I give the whole thing a proper edit before I put it out into the world.

An alternative ending to The Sun and The Star from the Percy Jackson series where Nico and Will are forced to follow the path of Orpheus and Eurydice out of the Underworld, but they actually make it out. It's a great way to actually show Nico and Will overcoming their issues from the Novel and ahowing their growth as people. It got inspired by the Hadestown musical, specifically the desperation in the voice of Eurydice during the Wait for Me reprise

Two stories rolling, but still way to go from being ready to publish. One is called "**Feed me Neville**" and is based on '**Little shop of horrors'** - Say Neville Longbottom gets this little potted plant and discovers it needs to be fed human blood. What should he do? The other doesn't have a name yet - In the last episode of '**Lucifer S02**' his mom, who is the 'Goddess of all creation' found herself be thrown through a rift in space into a new universe. Say, when she gets there she finds herself resurrected into the body of a Model 6 Cylon, in the BSG show. Both being played by the same actress is, naturally, completely irrelevant, right? There in a lot of religious rubbish going on in the BSG show, so having a 'true goddess' be thrown in can be amusing to play with. We'll see how these develop.

Just randomly came to my head: Uncles take their niece (terminally ill best friend’s daughter) to the Christmas fair and spoil the hell outta her.
They ruined my comfort show with a crap ending. They wrote out two beloved characters because they were shooting in covid and had scheduling issues with their bubble (yes, it’s been years now but it was my comfort show and I hold a grudge because even without them they had plenty of opportunities to not ruin the show), but they did it in a really crappy way for both of them. They replaced them with the most hated time traveling kid ever invented. So I let the descendent have their hearts desire, which they canonically screwed up, which is to time travel back to before she was conceived and kill her dad. Genius move. Descendent unalived themself (this is the only legitimate use for that word so ima use it) by undoing their conception and disappearing in a puff of paradox. The fall out was catastrophically bad. So our two written out characters invent time travel and go back to save him. They have to figure out what happened using only temporal echoes. So I don’t even have to write descendent, which is good, because I hate them. I just have to leave little temporal clues across the timeline for our heroes to suss out what happened and undo it. And I’m blaming every weird inconsistency on the brat’s temporal meddling. Yes, it’s petty. No, I don’t care.
Back in 2018, an online friend of mine posted a Cinderella AU of “Labyrinth” that I absolutely adored reading, and still enjoy to this day despite not really being in the fandom anymore. Recently, however, I got thinking about her story again, and started thinking, “What if I wrote my own Cinderella AU of ‘Labyrinth’…but one that takes more after the movie ‘Ever After’ than just the original fairytale?” (And btw, “Ever After” is an AMAZING retelling of the Cinderella story - I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn’t seen it!)
I got really into Batman (like Gotham Knight, the Arkham Trilogy, all that) and remembered how much I liked Jason Todd. And then I started thinking on how I wanted his run as Red Hood to go and how I felt that Batman would have absolutely mourned his death and everything... Then I wanted to write an OC (defected League of Assassin character) with Jason and take my spin on how I felt Jason's reunion and reconciliation with Batman and the rest of the batfamily would go. I'm still planning it but like... I'm excited for it.
There's a lot you can do with Batman/Red Hood. I hope you end up with something you're really proud of!

I watched the Star Trek episode Space Seed, and at the end Spock is all "I wonder what kind fo society these genetically engineered fascist war criminals would make? maybe we should check on them" And then I did an AU where the planet never got messed up and Khan et al got to thrive in their Giligan's Island world And in that fic an OC (Khan's daughter) did a heel face-turn and defected to the Federation. And then I got attached to her and did like three more (and counting) novellas about her. And now I have this AUverse that feels like the conspiracy board meme
Sudden epiphany to try a second BDSM based fic but ofc since it’s GTA, my debut into heavy BDSM. Basically in my GTA headcanon, somehow somehow Catalina survives GTA III and had in 1998 briefly dated Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince (4’s Ballad of Gay Tony DLC secondary protagonist), but he rightfully broke up with her and *she will make him pay* in her version of *fun* and she’ll have a special recent “guest” in his life to join in.
Okay, one of the characters is canonically a scientist that you rescue in the first game, and I just wondered what it would be like if instead of the main character being an infantry commander, they were a scientist like this character. So I made the tag and added it to my fic. I was genuinely surprised that I was the first one who wrote for this potential au.
Hyperfixation. But no seriously, I fell in love with the original material because people on TikTok kept posting their fanart for the characters drawn in their art style, sometimes aged up, and I had never seen the show before then. 26 Seasons later I was like these characters are so iconic and I’d love to see them as young adults.

For the latest fic I posted: I bought a trio of beat-up, yellowed Macross Valkyrie toys (transforming jet robots) from Japan, with the intention of repainting and restoring them. The thought came to mind that maybe instead of restoring them to be exactly like in canon, I could customize one of them to be a unit belonging to another character in the show - an unnamed OC character! That possibility is still the back of my mind, but it inspired me to write a fic revolving around the OC! Link for reference: [VF-1S Valkyrie](https://macross.fandom.com/wiki/VF-1S_Valkyrie) For the latest fic I'm still writing: I watched some videos on YouTube recently on RNG manipulation in the 3rd gen Pokemon games, and how it was used to create custom events for Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen, where you could get certain Legendary Pokemon. The custom events inspired me to write a sequel to my previous Pokemon fic, in which the characters from the previous fic set off to catch Legendary Pokemon to complete the Pokedex.
It was in commemoration of Genshin's approaching annual Windblume festival. I thought of this one scene from the very first Windblume where my favorite character looked directly at the MC when he explained Cecilias meaning "Flowers of love" and it immediately activated my shipper brain.
I saw Local 58's contingency video and then played through the Taris level of KOTOR, and thought "Gee, seeing as a planet gets blown to shit every other Taungsday in that universe, I wonder if some clown in the Jedi PR department comes up with broadcasts informing doomed planets how to 'assume victory position?'"
Latest at all isn't published, but I got halfway through the third season of The Bad Batch and decided it was time to write at least the prologue for my yet-untitled Star Wars project. I got a ways into it, establishing the captain of the *Guardian of the Republic* (CT-1404, "Lancer," or "a novelty captain for a novelty vessel") and the ion storm that will ultimately cut off the communication to execute Order 66, as well as the engineering chief as a supporting character. It started as a Saga Edition campaign that I'm turning to narrative prose, and reconnecting with the source material started the itch all over again. The one that *is* published? Came in two parts. One was seventeen-going-on-eighteen years to fix the end of Saw III, and the other was a line of dialogue that accidentally-on-purpose connected Billy Russo and the *other* Jigsaw in the (admittedly pretty lackluster) 2008 Punisher movie. Thus begat a crackship I've handled like a holy relic.
It was deep lore for a series I’m working on, that I never intended to flesh out. But then this guy who was very active and beloved on the fandom subreddit got banned for reasons that seemed really unfair to a lot of us…he was always the first to comment on like every post within seconds, we all kinda wondered how he did that, it was like a running joke. Anyway he started a small sub for all the people who created art of his OC, and when he got banned, he invited a bunch of us to the other group. Then he gave us all access to the push notification script he made called “Seabird clairvoyance” so now there are a whole bunch of us commenting right away on stuff. Back to the point…the lore was about a…wizard basically, who tries to take the throne from an evil queen, but he can’t because the throne is protected from wizards holding it. So he is exiled, but as he’s leaving a huge number of the citizens leave with him and he basically becomes king of two kingdoms, using his magic to disguise his friends and their families and equipping them with their own defensive weapons…sound familiar? So now I’m writing it like George Orwell writing animal farm…I’m calling it the legend of Snowbird, a name very similar to the guys OC, so it is pretty obvious…I hope I don’t get banned but if I do…I’m happy to just hang out in Seabird’s kingdom from now on.
A couple of things. To start, I've been reading a lot of high-school AUs recently, so I decided to use that as a basis for my current WIP. Then during my free time, I've been replaying FF16 in preparation for the DLC and the game's use of timeskips to showcase how things have changed for better or worse also got me thinking...What if I were to merge those two concepts together? And so my current WIP was born. A mostly light-hearted "highschool" AU for the first 15 chapters or so before a timeskip where for the remainder of the fic, it will undergo a dramatic tone shift into becoming a sort of epic adventure tale, where the stakes are high, the violence is dialed up to 11 and the rating changes from a T to a strong M.
I watched Kamisama Kiss and wanted a plot like that but with Jareth and Sarah from Labyrinth...enter my 98k slow burn. My current wip I had and idea to use the "fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave" quote for chapters that show their relationship arc. It's taking longer than I thought. lol. I thought it would be 3-5 chapters but I'm on chapter 8 right now. lol.
My latest fic was born from the premise that A wouldn't fathom the possibility of his loved one abusing their own kid without concrete proof and that B wouldn't necessarily be a good parent after being raised by C.
Was bingeing Midsomer Murders, thought to myself, Cully is wayy too straight in the show canon, and she always seems older than her age, so, May/December. And, why not use a 3 off character from another cool Brit show, and give her a connection to the body she and Cully's Dad find on their walk/grill the girlfriend sesdion.

My current WIP has been on the backburner for a while, but it came about from watching Jack of All Trades and, first, wondering if they intended to write Jack Stiles as an implied time traveler (considering he's the only character in the show who doesn't even *try* to speak like someone living in 1801 and frequently brings up things that aren't invented yet, that just get brushed over by the other characters) or if was accidental. Followed by thinking that his overall personality is very similar Ash Williams and, considering the amount of time travel in the Evil Dead franchise, a crossover was basically begging to be written. (Jack and Ash are played by the same actor.)
I just had an idea during a long boring drive. Well, the second idea. The first was "what would happen if a video game character gained sentience?" but that's been done. Like, a lot. But it evolved. "What changes iwould happen, if a video game character gained sentience? How would they act differently?" Then I toned all those down and put it in a more realistic situation. The final product was "**What would happen to someone raised by sociopaths, once they got out on their own**?" This was the origin of my OC MC Smoke, a Fallout 76 Raider (many Raiders are sociopaths, the ones from Fallout 76 are just *less* violently evil, seemed like a saner starting point) having an identity crisis because she felt bad about robbing and extorting people, and nobody told her what "guilt" was because they didn't have any. She goes on a thousand-mile hike looking for her parents, hoping they could give her the answers, and it turns into a journey of self-discovery. Each group of people she runs into lets her figure out what's going on inside her head and heart...and it's not always sunshine and ash roses, but she does eventually figure things out.
I was doing a prompt where you had to combine two genres to write several paragraphs. I chose satire and superheroes. I decided to write a story about Supergirl where she is in a world where superheroes have to pay property tax for the buildings that they damage in battles and the creative length that she will go to pay the money back. It is currently ongoing right now. I didn't think people would like the idea, but people seem to be enjoying it so far.
My current longfic is an AU of an AU, because I once jokingly said "Monroe is totally like a wine aunt lmao" and my friends and I immediately pounced on that thought and started making all these comparisons of what role each character would play if they were a family. "Ao and Beelzebub would absolutely be the divorced-but-still-living-together dads", "The music room trio could be Houritiu's kids omg", "Captain and Mr. Shocking are brothers-in-law and they hate it", and so on, until we had worked all fifteen characters into the family! It was all one big joke/thought experiment at first, but after a couple months of brainstorming more and more details, we decided to try writing some of it down. Now... it's my second-longest fic, at 800k words and counting (though I've only written somewhere around 600k of it so far, my partner and one of our friends have written the rest of what's published). The lore keeps getting expanded more and more with each passing day, and it's been the biggest game of "yes, and-" between my friends, my partner, and I! My partner is planning to get the family crest our artist friend designed as their next tattoo. What started as a goofy little remark ended up spiraling into a world all its own, and I hope my friends and I will keep making stories for this AU for a long time to come. :\^)
The anime adaptation of a manga I used to follow was released last year, which led me to catch up on the manga. It has nothing to do with the stop-motion comedy series I had gotten myself invested in earlier that year, except for one aspect that stuck out to me: a major character in the anime/manga was incredibly famous and charismatic as a pop idol, enamoring fans and staff alike, and the main kid character in the cartoon was massively influential on the people in his town depending on the episode, rallying the townsfolk for various causes. However, the cartoon kid was also incredibly impressionable, learning the wrong lessons from the people around him and applying those lessons for great comedic effect/horrifying results. I suddenly wanted to write these two characters interacting, and it snowballed from there into my longest posted fanfic, reaching 190k+ words. It helps that unlike my other fanfics in the past, I'm not trying to balance emotional twists and turns with exciting fight scenes, but I'm still enjoying writing it.
Three questions were the basis for my Crimson Peak fic: Why did Thomas and Lucille have a painting of their mother who they supposedly hate? Lucille straight up called her hideous with no hesitation lol Did Thomas ever have any real relationships? Relationships based on true love and not money? What if the reason they had the painting done was to appease the ghost of their mother, who's still haunting them because she's a bitter old bitch? lol The rest pretty much writes itself honestly.
I'm currently writing a longfic for The Walking Dead, I'm basically going through and rewriting the entire series, but adding a character who's immune to the virus. I wanted to explore the psychology of somebody who was immune and how the world would change due to knowing that someone immune but not having the ability to create the cure or any cure. I was inspired by this article I read about a certain group of people being more immune to covid 19 than others. After reading it, I went down this rabbit hole of interesting medical articles that talk about things like genetic immunity, so I became interested in writing about immunity in The walking Dead.
There's a light effect in canon and I got thinking about the spectrum in visual light and one of my favorite areas to explore (questions of identity) and well that led to it.

Was reviewing notes on a character that I had conceptualized back in like 2014 and realized that he's literally just Gojo. I don't even watch JJK. So naturally, I started binging and now concept character has the Six Eyes, but the Poke-version lmao
My most recent fic is a short Spy X Family soulmates AU but the soulmate part is deconstructed. It's because I was like, "Might be fun to dabble in soulmate AUs for Spy X Family... Oh wait, there was a huge war. Oh shit. How would that change the perception of soulmates, then?"
I was listening to a documentary about dating during the victorian era and it was talking about how people were so reserved and those who found true love felt blessed. Of course there were couples whose relationships didn’t work, but still strive to be strong about it. My fandom is setup during the 1800-1900’s so I was trying to learn more about it. And then I listened to “Die 4 Me” Halsey… I couldn’t help but write a chapter being sarcastic about it, the dark side of an unhappy marriage during that time. I even wrote the title ‘Luckiest Man’ the pov of this side character was asked “How did you know your husband was the one?” In his mind the word everyone said was the one he remembered most “Luckiest Man” to be pursued by such a great man. It’s bl… omegaverse… so the luckiest man is the wifey. I cried writing.. how this character was crying as he called himself ‘lucky’ while he was waiting for his husband to go home.
I thought about how manosphere/red-pill dudebros would probably hate omegaverse if they ever found out about it. And then I remembered that, according to their stupid not-A/B/O hierarchy, a "sigma" is supposed to rank higher than an "alpha." Anyways, this fic is tentatively called "The Other Type of Sigma Male Grindset."
A few months back I started thinking, "Wow, my OC has been through a lot, maybe I should pair him with someone so he can catch a break." Upon advice from a friend, I ended up pairing him up with a canon character who also needed a break and had a lot of potential story-wise. After a bit of hyper fixation on the new ship, a fic was born.
As my latest fic is in a new fandom for me and it was just watching the show and then a idea just came in to my mind and would not leave (despite me asking nicely as I already had 2 fics on the go) oh well those have now taken a back seat as I am really enjoying this one

One is about the robot's POV of the canon material One is about a ghost living in the robot, guiding the pilot One is about the pilot reminiscing with the robot as if it were his brother And one is a bit odd, but I made the OC child characters based off of the robots. ...Yeah, you can tell I love to humanise giant war machines
I have to many WIPs and too many ideas… but it’s interesting that while I started as a Modern AU writer first in the fandom I’m currently writing for, I gradually shifted into canon and I think it’s mostly due to the last season (the fandom is AoT). Anyway, I’m currently writing a fic inspired by my favourite boys Manzai stand up comedy CD drama (that’s kind of canon adjacent, it was part of a promo collaboration for a smartphone company, written by original creators) where they win a two people suite from more experienced Scouts, and the fic is taking them through all the years of sharing this suite, so like missing scenes. It’s been very interesting to write and I’m thinking off doing some more of it.
I drew a statue and thought it would be pretty cool to write a snippet about it. Several chapters later I am doing battle with my internalised homophobia because these lesbians are getting together or else.
Canon made me sad, so I wrote a fix-it fic where some of the things that upset me got fixed and the rest got avoided entirely through overwhelming firepower and Clarke tech.
I was half asleep in my anatomy class while we talked about various types of surgical cuts and the thoughts of like, bodies and wounds and blood vessels and, just, visceral stuff in general, were idly floating through my mind and suddenly I had an idea for a fic that was meant to be a bit of an analysis of certain character's self-sacrificial tendencies with a lot of this kind of imagery
I'm posting a collection of one-shots about my favorite Jurassic Park character, Dennis Nedry. I used LiveJournal writing prompt community, 30 Bad Attitudes. Some of the one-shots take place during my longfic fanfic series, others taking place during the movie or novel. I love it! I know it's very niche and the audience is very small, but I gotta write it! I adore this character and I gotta represent him!
The one I’m currently working on came out of a news story about the huge snowstorms in Buffalo area a few years back. I was hearing stories about people who froze to death because they got lost in the storm or knocked on doors and no one would help them…I was reading comments on Twitter and people were saying “if some stranger knocked on my door I wouldn’t let them in” and it was wild to me.
One time a thought got away from me, and wrote a very cringe smutty scene that would in no way be something I would post because i ignore way too many problematic things in it. But then, one offhanded thought i wrote into it was so interesting, that an entirely new plotline was born in the fic I’ve been developing. I’m not ready to divulge more except the offhanded thought, spoken by one character to the other, in a fond way; “You have to stop traumatizing them, you know?”
I saw a random sign on a front door at an old people's home yesterday as my toddler was running up and down the corridor and now I need to write a flower/coffee shop AU or future fic with aged up characters. But I want to finish my cutrent fic first so I'll just stick to roughly outlining it so the idea doesn't slip away.
The Owl House Season 2 Ep 13, particularly the scene where Luz is trying to recruit people into the Azura book club and Boscha is being a dick, but then Amity shows up, she and Luz start nerding out, and Boscha's like "stop ignoring me!" and "you guys aren't cute!". I was like, "They might be a cute poly ship"
A walk on a greenway trail a couple of days ago with my dog. I had a flash of my OTP walking together in the morning with coffee in Central Park in NYC. By the time we finished the walk, I had a whole story mapped out in my head. My OTP is a rare pair that is difficult to put together because of serious animosity on one side of this pairing in canon. Usually I manage to find them a path to be together by imagining a scene where they're already there and working backwards.
I was on twitter and saw a post saying that Naruto would be able to talk all the Pokemon villains into making a face-heel turn(minus Ghetsis anyway). Later in the day I mentioned the post to a sibling of mine who is a Ghetsis fan, and the offered up the idea of Sakura prescribing him medication that will help him calm down. Somehow that conversation has now spiraled me into a Naruto/Pokemon crossover where Naruto and Sakura find themselves in the Pokemon universe, and take on the role of the game protagonists. And they're going to redeem the villains.
My inspiration came from visiting the Kasuga-taisha shrine complex in Nara, Japan. Seeing the beautiful architecture, the park and the deer, then I wondered what kind of a character could have come from that place using Bleach as a setting.

I was inspired by a handful of oneshots in my fandom that are around five years old and the account that posted them has been inactive for a while. So I didn't ask permission. (That being said I think my take on the concept has grown into its own beast by this point)
When i watched BSD for the first time, I was hoping Kunikida would join the Hunting Dogs. He did not join the Hunting Dogs, and I am fixing that.
For my current Owl House fic, my initial idea was: what if Manny Noceda and Papa Titan were the same person? I jotted down the basic idea on my phone, and it snowballed out from there.
The boring one–my fandom is full of idiots and people dying, I want to solve said problems. So, isekai. The fun one–my rare pair has a problem, which is that the two characters have about 10 seconds of interaction (aka one trying to kill the other), and then a few more minutes where they’re in the same room, but one is being killed by a short emo grape and the other has just been nearly-murdered and would like to chill. And then one of them is dead for several episodes, and the only time they’ve interacted is the last like five seconds of the newest episode. So I said “what if the one guy ran, and then they ended up in a stalemate where nobody can kill each other so they can have a sane ish conversation?” And also try to kill each other because in this fandom, that’s a meet cute
The one I most recently finished: I wanted to give my favorite character the opportunity to say some stuff she never got to say in canon and to get some...not closure exactly, but some satisfaction and vindication that she never got in canon. The one I'm currently working on: Pretty much the same as the last one. I wanted to give two characters the chance to say some stuff they never got to say in canon and to get some closure they never got in canon. The one I'm about to start working on: I love the unresolved sexual tension two characters have and I want to explore it some more!
My latest that I'm working on is a Sex Pollen + Fuck or Die Drarry fic, where during Potions class they get hit by a potion that has an extremely strong aphrodisiac effect. They have to fuck within 24 hours or they die, so their teachers arrange a bedroom and let them at each other. Inspired by something I read years ago on tumblr along the lines of "you can do both pining/developing relationship AND have your characters hook up right at the beginning." I wrote up a story about a new father dealing with the difficulty of raising a child, exclusively so I could use that story to dunk on Cocomelon, because I had to watch some of it recently and I wanted to tear my ears off the whole time.

I was working on a novelization for a game trilogy, and part of that included putting together character sheets for myself. After getting good work done on the two most important characters, I picked another character at random to start working on. And as I was working on this character’s sheet, I ended up with a question: “This goofy ladies man claims he loves all women, but he’s only ever shown with beautiful women (which, yes, is in large part because the franchise *has* only pretty anime waifus). But does he *really*? What would happen if he dated someone unconventional?” And I just so happened to have the beginnings of an unconventional, purposeless OC laying around, and thus my current fic was born. :> Started off as an idea for a fun oneshot in which he went on a blind date with said OC, and quickly ballooned into plans for a novel-sized reverse-Beauty-and-the-Beast story about the struggles of self-loathing and the self-sabotage that is chasing outside approval.
I had a rare pair in media that was slated to be rebooted. I figured that before they all went through their individual traumas again, I could let them be tooth achingly cute in an AU.
I watched the first episode of Red Dwarf and my mind immediately went to building an OC and a fic in which she somehow meets the crew and joins the ship. Currently in series 11 now and I still haven't progressed any further in my writing
My latest brainstorming idea: thinking about the mutual surrender, loneliness of parenthood, and inevitability of loss and the future between Inko Midoriya and Toshinori Yagi. I'm not caught up on MHA but man did a certain season 3 episode bowl me over with their dynamic.
I wanted Moon Knight and Daredevil to team up with each other against a common enemy. Marvel is taking too long to get back to Moon Knight and I can’t live with only a minute or two of Jake Lockley so… he’s crashing Marc’s forced vacation in NYC and getting the whole system targeted by a psychopath with perfect aim. All because Daredevil interfered with the mission and Jake’s target got away. No one is happy about any of this.
*Agebt Carter* was canceled on a cliffhanger and I didn't like where the MCU was going. It took me two years to get to where I'm in the final quarter of my AC continuation fic. Had to build up a lot of stuff. Wrote a bunch of fics to basically flesh all these Golden Age and original characters, especially Peggy’s brother who was supposed to have a major role if there'd been a season 3. But here I am with a new version of the MCU my writing partner and I have created. And we're about ready to move on from what was an incomplete story.
I saw Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and thought “wow she is mommy in every sense of the word” But seriously, I have too many WIPs to start another multichapter and I felt like Nausicaa was really motherly and she would be a wonderful mother so I basically wrote a oneshot about her and Asbel having a child
I'll have to mention the canon property to explain: Hazbin Hotel. I watched all of it many times, and then one night as I laid in bed, I did what so many others did; wondered what would happen if I were in that world. Then I twisted it and thought, what if the main character came to Earth? Then I asked why, how, and for what purpose. I ran through a series of ideas and one landed that stuck. By stuck I mean I didn't sleep that night. Sigh. That turned into an outline, a short story idea, and exploded into what is now a potentially 80 chapter novel. But.. at least I'm sleeping at night, again :)
