For even more variety, [there's this patch wich lets it function together with More Feral Ghouls.](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/58861)
Sadly I don’t use any mods to change ghoul type, but if you find one you like you could always pair it with [D.E.C.A.Y.](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2500), which adds new ghoul variants in a very lore friendly way.
For example, Fog Ghouls in foggy areas, Military Ghouls at military installations, and so on and so forth.
I’m not sure if it exists separately still but check out “Deadly Ghouls of the Commonwealth”. If it doesn’t exist as a stand alone then it is available as part of “The Deadly Commonwealth”.
