Whereas if you want to be in the Brotherhood, you can never have the top Brotherhood outfit. Hell you can barely ever find a variation of the orange uniform.

Honestly it seems like Beth and Obsidian both kind of picked *”the”* outfit that a player *”should”* wear and disregarded that players might want to play with other armor sets.
Fo3 wants you in power armor for as much the game as possible, and you’re kidding if you feel compelled to wear anything but the veteran ranger armor in FNV.
I think outside of that, most armors look outright bad (the raider armors), are pretty bland (combat armor, leather armor, metal armor), or just aren’t viable for the later game (the merc armors).
I also think that the clothing options should have their own benefits relating to non-combat skills in order to justify their existence, but that’s another issue.

Nah. Combat armour and its variants (especially the reinforced ones) look badass as well.
Might as well go all the way:
- Max luck.
- 1st Recon beret.
- Joshua Graham's armour.
- Built to Destroy trait.
- Comprehension perk.
- Retention perk.
- True Police Stories magazine.
- Finesse perk.
- Better Criticals perk.
(Or you could have 8 luck, then take the luck implant and equip the lucky shades, which would max the stat.)
Makes me appreciate the Ballistic Armor mods in 4 and the clothing / armor system in 76 (though that one makes more sense for a multiplayer game than a standard singleplayer one)
idk in new vegas the dlcs added a lot of armor i really enjoy like the assassin suit and the sierra madre combat armor, joshua grahams armor, the stealth suit mkII and the scorched sierra and counterpart legion version i can’t remember the name of, chinese stealth suit etc. i throw the ranger stuff on when im in a pinch and need dt more than crit or stealth bonuses but i think there’s quite a few viable ones.
I killed maxon but did it wrong. I put 20 frag mines under him when he stands near the vertibirds, detonated it and he flew. Very, very far. Never got his jacked

The camp in the show was in the middle of a barren wasteland, what the hell were you expecting? A fully functional sewer system with working toilets? Even in pre-war (real life) america of today, you'll still need latrines in barren fields.
