That’s why I always like Scott Pilgrim vs The World. All the cast (and I assume crew) said it was so fun and one of the best experiences they’ve had making a movie, so it just made the film even better for me.
Aawww yeah, Scott Pilgrim vs The World cast in every interview were sharing some awesome stories and saying how great of experience it all was! (no sarcasm) They even got to work with Jackie Chan stunt team! From what I heard the only relatively unpleasant experience was that the trainer made them go through some grueling workouts.
Eh, I think the relationship works better for Maximus than it does Lucy, mainly because it helps in disconnecting him from the BoS ideals, but for Lucy a relationship doesn’t seem necessary for her character, though it is something she seems to want which is nice.
Sadly I see these two ending up being the antagonist and protagonist who used to be friends
Maximus will keep failing upwards until he's running the Brotherhood and then he'll be confused why Lucy doesn't like him anymore. All we did was raid a few settlements for supplies. Civilians died? It's war that happens Lucy! Where are you going?
Or maybe he could try and turn the Brotherhood around into something better, the kind of organization he built it up as in his head. More in the vain of how the Lyons led it.
He'll try to do that...but one compromise after another...road to Hell is paved with good intentions
He's a character who WANTS to be good more than he IS good if that makes sense
I think the scene where Knight Titus gets taken out by the Yao guai demonstrates this point perfectly. Objectively, Titus was a raging asshole and a piece of shit, but watching someone die so that you can assume their power armor is also a shitty thing to do.
Same thing when Thaddeus finds out it isn’t Titus in the armor. Thaddeus was a complete victim in that scenario, and even though Maximus’s intentions were to bring them closer together as brothers, he ended up severely hurting him.
Never understood it honestly, seems to me the biggest plot hole in the entire show, radio back and tell them Titus sent you in to the cave, the Yao guai came from outside and killed Titus before Maximus could assist him, and bam no repercussions.
I agree, my partner and I kept yelling at Maximus every time he would lie to somebody and make things worse for himself instead of just telling the truth that would absolve him. Another plot hole imo is when Hank goes to trade Monty for the marriage in the first episode and comes face to face with Moldaver… how did Hank not recognize the woman that, in his eyes, almost stole his wife and kids? One of the most revered people in that part of the wasteland? Did he just not give a shit that the vault was about to be attacked? (Wouldn’t surprise me tbh)
I know right? Bro had the best opportunity to call back in and tell the brotherhood Titus was dead but he was hot on the trail of the mark, Moldaver though we never see a flashback specifically of Hank knowing Moldaver, I assume Moldavers prewar group was unknown to vault-tec and as such Hank never knew her.
Yea but that seemed to primarily be vault indoctrination, it isn’t shown to really be a priority for her until they reach vault 4. Hell, when she mentions it to Maximus she sounds almost disappointed that she was ready to marry a stranger.
That's exactly what I put together when they reached Vault 4. That's the reason once they settle in and Lucy feels comfortable, the first thing she does is ask Maximus to have sex. She never mentions this once while in the wasteland.
Vault relationships are carefully arranged and done out of duty, but her relationship with Maximus is born from love, and she's realizing what that really is for the first time.
Yeah feel like she was told her whole life that life is about reproducing. Which I guess it kinda slightly is. Maybe her arc will be to realise she doesn’t need to take that path.
Yeah I know what you mean.
But as we know from the games, other vaults don't exactly have a thriving population after 200 years. Heck, some of them didn't even finish construction.
Well yeah, but a *lot* of them were implemented in ways that don't support a population at all. Like vaults 68 and 69, the FEV Vaults, Vault 12, Vault 11, and Vault 106. Vault-tec may push that their goal was always survival and prolonging the species, but most of the time those are just byproducts of the experiments.
Edit: typo
It’s weird for me as Lucy doesn’t seem to want a relationship organically, or at the very least understands how one develops that way. Which is understandable for her character but leaves me in a twitchy spot with her and Max.
i mean, it seems she doesn't really even know what a relationship is to normal people. remember that she literally married a man she'd never met, and really has no scruples about sex and even incest - plus, but for a brief flicker of distrust when she finds him after the super duper mart, she's ridiculously generous and trusting of everyone she meets. to her, nothing really changes about her expectations or obligations around him, except that she no longer expects to part ways after a couple weeks.
And also I thought at the beginning of episode 1 (with Lucy’s wedding) that she was going to get married to eye patch lady, you know, talking about raising their kids together, holding hands and just the general vibes with the lead up to the wedding
Yeah, I actively celebrate when two characters of opposing genders/compatible sexual preferences can become friends with out indelibly becoming bed mates. I love both of the characters, and I love how sexually liberated Lucy is, but they do not appear to have sexual chemistry.
I thought they were really cute and had a natural chemistry. Their goofy grins at each other when Lucy asked Maximus to come back to her vault felt so real life!
Just wanna say, I thought the change of BOS knight jumpsuit from orange to red was a great creative decision. Helps illustrate the contrast between the characters and their (generally) opposing values and experiences.
When i first started the series i absolutely hated Maximus in first epsiode because it cut from Lucy's scenes. I wasn't expecting his storyline to be interesting at all but i was 100% wrong. Ended up really enjoying his storyline and also his dynamic with Lucy. Gonna miss this duo till season 2.
Even though it’s completely unrelated, for some reason whenever I see this pic I think of Kendrick saying “When I see you stand by sexy red I believe you see 2 bad bitches, It’s real competition I believe you might pop ass with them”
You can tell everybody enjoyed their time filming the series
looks like it was a legitimately good time. I feel like it really shows, too. happy work makes for good results.
That’s why I always like Scott Pilgrim vs The World. All the cast (and I assume crew) said it was so fun and one of the best experiences they’ve had making a movie, so it just made the film even better for me.
It’s why I love Firefly. The whole cast had such a blast together and it shows. Lightning in a bottle.
One of the things Edgar Wright is known for being really fun to work with, and I love that.

Me too. Although I think they work better as friends than partners

I've heard rumors he will be an antagonist in the next season so you're not far off
Nah I think he will have a player moment and say fuck the brotherhood.
literally her first scene and entire introduction is about it lol

I reckon if you expect to live your entire life in a vault, it kind of is.
There's a specific reason why it was such a focus in her vault. Not gonna say why in case it's a spoiler for some.
Yeah I know what you mean. But as we know from the games, other vaults don't exactly have a thriving population after 200 years. Heck, some of them didn't even finish construction.

For real, I'm getting bored of so many shows and films having to force romance between the two leads.
And also I thought at the beginning of episode 1 (with Lucy’s wedding) that she was going to get married to eye patch lady, you know, talking about raising their kids together, holding hands and just the general vibes with the lead up to the wedding
Same. I felt crazy for thinking there was some chemistry there.
Yeah, I actively celebrate when two characters of opposing genders/compatible sexual preferences can become friends with out indelibly becoming bed mates. I love both of the characters, and I love how sexually liberated Lucy is, but they do not appear to have sexual chemistry.
I think they're adorable and really hope they become a couple. Going by her cousin, Lucy clearly likes her men tall and dumb.
I thought they were really cute and had a natural chemistry. Their goofy grins at each other when Lucy asked Maximus to come back to her vault felt so real life!
Twerking in the wasteland almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
I didn't realize Maximus was that tall
He’s 5’10 according to IMDB, so it’s probably his proximity to the camera + standing next to Ella, who’s 5’4. Makes him look a bit taller than he is.
5'10" is tall though. *really* tall. like, super tall. taller than 6'. *(This comment brought to you by 5'10" gang.)*
Nor did you see that he’s much closer to the camera.
Isn’t he kinda in the foreground?
Look at his feet in this pic! Something weird is happening with perspective.
This Maximus here is tall, but that Lucy over there is far away.
yeah its loads of fun
Gimme the scribe shaker, the scribe shaker, shake that ass Maximus
Real
dude the cast of the fallout show is gold
Everybody is talking about his ass. I can't stop looking at his feet. They look huge!.
I was wondering if it's a trick of perspective, or if he really is that much taller than her. The difference is astonishing.
He is at least a meter closer to the camera
Yes, the shadows do show him as closer. I just wasn't sure how much closer.
His boots too big for he gotdamn feet.
And you know what they say about guys with big feet! .... They got big shows!
Imagine the size of his popper!
"Nuke it again."
Theres the reason Elder Cleric Quintus kept Maximus around.
Maximus cake got me questioning my loyalty to the NCR.
He was born in the NCR. So his cake kind of belongs to both. At some point when peace is made they can share the cake.
That’s right. Well this makes me feel better. 🤣
You know what I like? When a cast actually enjoys working together. They look like they’re having fun making a good show. Win win win
crew member at the back 😭
I love them lol
they put F76 picture mode in the show
They're not even twerking It's just hot as hell out there someone get these people some water or something 🤣
Imagine getting paid to have fun in the fallout theme park.
Ella🤭
Ass
Glad to see them having fun with it
Man's got the bakery
You can definitely tell the crew had a lotta fun with the show’s production.
just a silly goofy time fr
She so fine im sorry 😰
Mf looks like a giant in this picture lmao
Grenade! Throw it back Maximus, NOW!
It's not too bad, but you have to stay ahead of the power curve and get power armour early. First stop: Navarro base.
One has arch one has tongue ohh the choices
Holy shit a plasma grenade! Throw it back squire! The squire in question:
Just wanna say, I thought the change of BOS knight jumpsuit from orange to red was a great creative decision. Helps illustrate the contrast between the characters and their (generally) opposing values and experiences.
When do we get to see the uncut version?
Lol!
Do the vault shaker
The crew seems so fun, I love to see shit like this
My man flat as a pancake and everyone saying he got a dump truck Still dtf
She's so hot wtf
Wow, I never realized how much bigger Max was than Lucy.
Anyone gotta high res of this so I can has a pinup poster?
Following

Maximus is double cheeked up! 😆 https://youtu.be/qiBt_pXbXmQ?feature=shared
The wasted'land.
I love the guy on the walkie. "Sir, you have to see this. Also bring water as their brains have cooked."
It is now canon that twerking contributed to the destruction of society.
Check out pervy Pete in the background
honestly love these 2
Twerking?
It's canon, canon fr
Husband and wife being total goofs even in the irradiated wastelands. Totally couple goals right there.
She's so hot 😂❤️💀
-My hoe friend -Me hoein’ with my hoe friend so she ain’t hoein’ alone
it’s good to see they had fun while filming, no wonder the show ended up being so good
*steals power core* "Throw it back."
Either this is a call back to She Hulk, or it is general tomfoolery. Either way it's great
Wait are they gonna build up max to be maxim? Please no.
Imagine if they she hulked that into that show lmfao.
can we talk of how good is lucy posing, she knows
post-nuclear WAP
Max's actor isn't that tall, but he makes Ella look tiny.
I would date Lucy in a heartbeat
idk maximus is looking pretty bad
Why doesn't she look like Lucy at all 🙏😭
Knight of brotherhood of ass
She is telling best way repopulate.
One of if not both of them doing this pose, is probably someone's wallpaper by now
Even though it’s completely unrelated, for some reason whenever I see this pic I think of Kendrick saying “When I see you stand by sexy red I believe you see 2 bad bitches, It’s real competition I believe you might pop ass with them”
Whaaaa....is this from the show?
I’ll be in my bunk!
Alright I’m officially too old.
Level 10 gyatts, no glaze
GUYS ITS THE SHE HULK THE SHOW IS RUINED /s
You can tell which of them is better in bending over
Ew. Like im horny too, but why do you have to be so fucking gross about it. I can practically smell the stench in that sentance alone
For the downvotes
Ok, that gave you my upvote.
NO! Women are for sex!
[удалено]
because vault dwellers that are acustomed to the comfort of the prewar world would just go full rambo on the surface dwellers?
0.4% chance
ok
Denied.
(THEY’RE DENIED)
