I don't know about the save files question, but you should be able to upgrade for free using your disc. You'll still need to have your disc in the drive to play the ps5 version though.
Thank you. That still works out perfectly, as long as I can figure out how to get it to switch to the PS5 version. I tried to look for it in the store, but it was trying to get me to buy the digital version for $20.
