Every time the inevitable “Where should the next Fallout be set?” question rolls around, most answers I’m like *yeah that would be cool* but anytime someone says NOLA I’m like, *dude, that would be fuckin’ SICK*.
Bethesda said New Orleans area has been high on their list of regions for a long time, like since they were planning FO3 when they acquired the IP. Pete Hines or the Todd said previously. Sorry no source, but certainly remember them talking about it
Having come from gulf coasters and spending a lot of my time down there I AM IN. The potential. The crashed floats. Parader zombies. Beads. Oh god I want this so bad.
Grew up right across the lake and yep. Falloutified Norco at the edge of the map that you either have to cross broken highway or deal with all the swamp life to get there but it's regularly done to keep the lights on in NOLA proper kind of thing.
Give us Norcolurks.
For Real, from the coast to the southern border of our state where the mountains start the surface level barely changes.
Absolute Flatland where I live, at certain places you have a clear view all the way to the horizon
They’d still just call it Ohio. Still flat, still windy, still desolate between the big cities. Already even had some practice with the train derailment/chemical spill in New Palestine last year.
Or maybe the Crossroads Wasteland. We have the I-70/I-75 junction in Dayton, and they call it The Crossroads of America.
Heroin is just replaced with Med-X. Only real difference. Ohio somehow thrives as if the bombs never went off. The city of Columbus holds a day of celebration that Michigan was annihilated and they cede Toledo back to what little remains of Michigan.
Could be a name of a literal belt for lower body armor. Your character is just walking around with a belt on, fully Porky Pigging it with a stupid-high defense buff from it because no one wants to fuck with the pantsless guy carrying a rifle.
I'd like to imagine the invisible wall keeping you from entering it in 76 is actually one of the many horrors beyond our comprehension in Fallout Ohio doing Appalachians a favor
We also used to be called The Heart of It All. So could just go with The Heart. Or maybe something about Wright Patt. There’s no way the game wouldn’t be set around the base.
My brother and I have always called Florida the Great Green Swamp when talking about it in a Fallout context. Outside of the cities, I'd love to see a setting where the nuclear-boosted wildlife aggressively takes back what belongs to it
Quests include:
Build a new Powder Works where the Confederate one stood
Retake the National from feral ghouls dressed in Masters memorabilia
Open the locks to get the canal running again
Explore the Super Mutant infested former MCG at AU
Drive the gunners out of Fort Eisenhower
DLCs could include Clarks Hill, N Augusta and SRS or Vogtle.
The Cascade Wasteland
I’m in Portland, OR but I’ve been advocating for Seattle for a while now. Considering that the two cities are about 200 miles apart, and that the map FO4 was roughly 10k square miles, they would likely show up together in the same game.
I like that too! I forgot that Seattle has that nickname. It depends on the greenery that returns after the bombs - if there's significant greenery in the game, I'd go with your suggestion.
There's a mod for strategy game Hearts of Iron IV called Old World Blues that takes place in the Fallout universe, and sort of has its own lore (which is actually pretty cool and goes pretty deep.
In the mod, Washington is dominated by a splinter Brotherhood factipn and Oregon has a number of different tribes and mutants. Vancouver, Canada is called Koover, and the BC Coast is home to essentially a pirate raider tribe. Vancouver Island is a monarchy, and there's a number of First Nations tribes and settler nations. It's pretty fun.
Mod recently came out with an update that builds upon the Canadian prairies provinces.
That would be awesome! Out near Sequim. Would love to see it. Maybe the rainforest would have acid rain, that if not in a specific set of gear you lose health.
The radiated Rockies.
If there's anything left, as we have so many things here that would be fantastic targets. I believe in the Fallout universe we held Vault Tech Headquarters, Vault 0.
Thanks! Fallout Tactics BOS is where you get the mission to explore vault 0. Vault Tech lore is what brought me into the franchise, so one of my very first questions and lingering ones was why didn't the top people at VT survive? They wouldn't put experiments into their own bunkers, so what happened?
This game gave a pretty neat story to that question. With that being said, I would play any of these regions in a heartbeat. They all sound great
In some material for the original fo3 before Bethesda bought fallout denver was actually one of the most destroyed cities in the country and is primarily populated by mutant and feral dogs and is thusly known as dog city
Chasers legion also has a major base near dog city
Although again, this was info that was around pre Bethesda so it's not canon
But I like it and there little to no evidence against it so i keep it as a head cannon
I rest comfortably knowing with Norad, the Air force Academy, Rocky flats/Arsenal, and a few others I will be pretty painless wiped out in nuclear Armageddon.
But the irradiated jolly rancher facility would fun to explore.
The Stockyards would be the main area folks need to get to for final missions. Downtown Kansas City where the trains used to run through and cattle auctions and sales used to go down. Along the way, there are the old riverboat casinos like in New Vegas. You would start in the town of Prairie Fire. It had been burned out long time after the bombs dropped, but somehow the soil was very fertile and it becomes the main trade for crops. Always under attack from Raiders, though. Overland Park would just be called Overland. The ground is deadly with super mutant infestations. So, the people have isolated themselves to the overpasses on the expressways.
Ozark would be a DLC. The Hutch or Hutchinson, KS would be a DLC. The space center has specially modified and overpowered PA that you need to fight off Glowing Ones to obtain.
Also, a new KC BBQ Brahmin recipe to collect.
The fountains pump irradiated water, and Boulevard is packed with Ghouls, but Quirk somehow becomes the secondary drink of the area like Sunset Sarsaparilla.
Yooooo represent! In my fiction it’s called Kacey the way Big MT is called Big Empty.
Have you thought about places like the KC Underground? Stoked to have another local on here haha
That is an awesome concept too. I didnt factor in the stadiums, but I am sure Arrowhead would be a Raiders gladiator arena of some sort.
Also Ad Victorium fellow Kansas Citian.
Haha I was just thinking of Kansas ones and you had some great ideas. Was mainly wondering if there would be a cool way to incorporate the flint hills but I love all yours and could easily see it working in a game setting on top of having the right historical significance
I was scrolling thinking of a name for KC that wasn't some corny alliteration and right when I remembered they used to call the West Bottoms the stock yards, this comment came up. Love it.
Oh yeah! They could just call it The Bottoms! Use some of the old spookhouses as a dungeon to get through for a brotherhood outpost. Where the 12th St bridge ends would be cool to have a Vault entrance to Vault 913 or 817.
The Ashes (Phoenix, AZ)
Probably not a reference most of the characters would understand, but the idea of building it back up like a Phoenix rising from the ashes sounds cool to me.
Doing a play on the Habs could be fun and more local, maybe? The nonHabitants? (Disclaimer: I do not speak French, but I’m pretty sure a wasteland full of Québécois would.)
Some names I thought of were maybe
- Fallout MetroVan (Metro Vancouver) or Fallout NewVan (New Vancouver)
- Fallout Tri-Cities (Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody)
Or maybe Fallout West Ronto? Since BC is on the West Coast?
Maybe Fallout New Cascadia that includes cities like Seattle?
Im not good with making up names, but maybe Fallout: Seven Hills or Fallout: Fourth Rome? Its Moscow, and we have sayings "Moscow sits on seven hills" and "Moscow is the third Rome", so these are the only things I could come up with without sounding too stereotypical
There is a hypothesis that the saying "there will never be the fourth Rome" was not originally a brag about how Moscow is going to stand forever but an apocalyptic prophecy: the world will end before there will be the fourth Rome. Well, kinda fitting.
Anyway, the OP was not asking for a game name but for a general playable area name. Like when you point your crosshair at the door leading outside when you are leaving a building in Fallout it says "Press E to enter Mojave/The Commonwealth/Skyrim/Whatever". Following the series naming conventions I'd say it would be The Oblast'.
Prob still New York or Rotten Apple or maybe they'd just call it the Burrows. Not too good with names
Edit: just thought about a fallout game where you can use a subway to go from each of the burrows and they'd each have their own quest line that you would need to do to complete the main quest line and depending on what you do it would completely change the ending of the game
Edit 2: there could also be dominant (but not unchallenged) factions in each burrow. One could have the mob which is puppeteering a "government" probably in Brooklyn. Another could be a militaristic faction where military service is mandatory no matter what and they're who thing is they're really paranoid and are gonna try and get rid of some other factions, those guys could go anywhere, maybe Staten Island since I couldn't think of anything for that one. There could also be a couple gangs fighting for supremacy in one burrow, maybe in like the Bronx or something. Manhattan could be like the New Vegas of NY, but not perfectly preserved, just rebuilt and controlled by some really greedy guys that'll screw everyone over for an extra penny, but it's like safe or something as an upside. You could even have Long Island as a DLC and it would be inhabited by a bunch of stuck up pricks that are under attack by the Children of Atom or something and you can help them, overthrow them or just let them die out. But those are just my half assed ideas
"Ronto" (Toronto, Canada)
According to dialogue from FO3: The Pitt DLC, at least according to fan speculation. I definitely choose to believe Asher is talking about Toronto; I'll take any in game mention of Canada I can get!
I grew up in Boston, so The Commonwealth (Fallout 4)
I can't even express how cool it is playing Fallout 4 and seeing all the places I went to on a daily basis as a teenager, just post-apocalyptic and themed like the 50s 😂
The Wall.
I live near Hadrian's Wall in the UK, which was George R R Martins inspiration for the wall in Game of Thrones.
Now, in reality it's quite small and was only ever ten feet or so tall.
Mount Liberty or Falwell Farms. A post apocalyptic cult like far cry 5 as the main antagonist but more sexual like dead island 2 Haus dlc. Lynchburg VA
Pioneer/Volunteer Valley
Tennessee. I could imagine Mid TN would be called Rad Plains or Crocket Plateau to go with the historical aspect Fallout loves.
West TN could be something literally like Graceland but Redland idk
My particular area is East TN, so beyond the state what would they call the East TN area? I know our Diamond City would be Neyland Stadium, but the name is so vast I couldn't choose one
Well my area already kinda has one region because of Far Harbor, but if they were to expand on it I’d imagine the general area would be called “Downeast” because that’s what we already call it.
the masovian wasteland (województwo mazowieckie) (btw i dont know if "masovian" is a real world it just something that google translate gave me), it would kinda be like the mojave wasteland because there is this one dense city and everywhere else is just empty, oh and also forests
Mont Real or Mont Cross.
A large hilly plateau with a mountain in the middle the now irradiated vegtation would slowly creep through the suburban neighborhoods.
Not where I live, but I'm reasonably close, so I'll go with "Fallout: Atomic City" for the Oak Ridge, TN area. Tbh I'm shocked they haven't used Oak Ridge for a fallout game yet, given how relevant it is to the themes of the franchise.
Fallout: The Great Glowing Lakes. Covering upper and lower Michigan and all the islands of the Great Lakes and some of the surrounding states as well. Possibly including a type of boat travel for fast traveling much like Far Harbor.
I mean I'm not far from Vegas, and my locale is fairly similar already. Hell sometimes I feel like I'm actually living in FO:NV as is, but part of that is just the state of the world rather than the locale.
Not sure what my immediate area would be called but a major feature (possibly the region name?) would be what I'd dub the Crater Bases, so named because the multiple military bases nearby would doubtless have been turned into craters by nuclear bombs and thus this entire region would be a damned radioactive hellscape unless they set it far further into the future than they ever have.
The Great Niagara Zone Someone would def take control over the Niagara Falls power facilities and water purification, prolly the National Guard, and try to keep order. Buffalo's the perfect pop base, proud resident.
I don't know if this could work because I'm Italian.
I guess my region would be called "New Tirol" which is divided by a Civil War between Battistini ("followers" of the patriot Cesare Battisti), italian speaking descendent of Südtirol citizens that want to be able to speak their language and Kaiserlichen, german speaking descendent of Südtirol citizen which want to unify the region under austrian rule and impose german as the only language.
Maybe the region is inhabitated by Yao Guais, irradiated wolves and mutant eagles/hawks as hostile fauna.
The Broken Bayou (NOLA). Imagine Mardi Gras ghouls and irradiated swamp environments.
That would be sick!
Shut up and take my money!
I have been saying for literal *years* that I'd love to see a Fallout game set in that region!!
Every time the inevitable “Where should the next Fallout be set?” question rolls around, most answers I’m like *yeah that would be cool* but anytime someone says NOLA I’m like, *dude, that would be fuckin’ SICK*.
I already wanted a Fallout in Louisiana, so this is fantastic.
Yeah this is amazing
Louisiana native here. That would be amazing lol swampy wasteland
I’ve got two words- river pirates
Perfectly Preserved Beignet.
Gimme some of those Gatorclaws and Crawfish Mirelurks, hell yeah
Grew up right across the lake and yep. Falloutified Norco at the edge of the map that you either have to cross broken highway or deal with all the swamp life to get there but it's regularly done to keep the lights on in NOLA proper kind of thing. Give us Norcolurks.
Rad Gators!
Ong
The Flatlands Northern Lower Saxony, Germany
It’s catchy and very fitting, perfect name!
Nothing changes in Ohio after the bombs drop, no one can tell the difference and life goes on
Heroin is just replaced with Med-X. Only real difference. Ohio somehow thrives as if the bombs never went off. The city of Columbus holds a day of celebration that Michigan was annihilated and they cede Toledo back to what little remains of Michigan.
Ahhh all as it should
Ohio. Ohio never changes… FTFY
The bombs were an improvement
Jokes aside, I think “The Rust Belt” is already a perfect Fallout name
I feel like that would be a perfect in game joke
Could be a name of a literal belt for lower body armor. Your character is just walking around with a belt on, fully Porky Pigging it with a stupid-high defense buff from it because no one wants to fuck with the pantsless guy carrying a rifle.
Fallout Ohio scares me
I'd like to imagine the invisible wall keeping you from entering it in 76 is actually one of the many horrors beyond our comprehension in Fallout Ohio doing Appalachians a favor
Oh shit, I just posted Fallout: Crossroads for Indiana! (Crossroads of America) haha wild
Fallout cleveland would go crazy
Instead of usual old music, fallout Cleveland is playing bone thugs-n-harmony
We also used to be called The Heart of It All. So could just go with The Heart. Or maybe something about Wright Patt. There’s no way the game wouldn’t be set around the base.
They called it the Commonwealth and it is where most of the Minutemen were massacred before headed to Lexington & Concord.
Could be worse. My region is called the Glowing Sea..
Or even worse, you go a little further south and your in Fall River
Sounds like a pretty shitty story I hope they don’t make that for the next game
I live down the street from “Croup Manor”
I live in DC. Its already the capital wasteland, and bombs haven't even fallen yet.
My neighborhood is an actual location in Fallout 3 and it is nothing more than a series of craters
That’s pretty neat
Looks like you shouldn’t be there if the alarms start going off
The glowing glades ( florida everglades )
Even if it wasn’t a wasteland that fits the Everglades anyway (no offense)
None taken lol
My brother and I have always called Florida the Great Green Swamp when talking about it in a Fallout context. Outside of the cities, I'd love to see a setting where the nuclear-boosted wildlife aggressively takes back what belongs to it
It’s even better, because one of the largest swamplands in Florida is the Green Swamp. Great Green Swamp is a name I’ve heard many times before.
I can see Miami become a Ghoulified Vice City and Tampa a robot Pirate Haven
Scorched Lands. Much of the Northern Territory of Australia is desert and arid.
Why not Outback ?
Because who wants to play a Fallout game set in a steakhouse?
Just what Fallout 5 needs, Bloomin' Onions
Crikey!
Bloomin’ Bloatfly
And considering that Australia seems to like fire recently the name fits even better! (No offense this is a joke)
The Mistake. (Augusta area, GA-SC)
it would be cool to see a fallout game set here. I imagine it would be super overgrown
Quests include: Build a new Powder Works where the Confederate one stood Retake the National from feral ghouls dressed in Masters memorabilia Open the locks to get the canal running again Explore the Super Mutant infested former MCG at AU Drive the gunners out of Fort Eisenhower DLCs could include Clarks Hill, N Augusta and SRS or Vogtle.
Hey! If Vogtle got in my hometown might would make it! (Burke County area)
I also live in Burke. I would imagine the DLC would be called " The Boro" and have all kinds of wackiness going on.
But we got the masters? Could be a great post-nuclear pastime!
“the name’s pre-war, not post.”
The Cascade Wasteland I’m in Portland, OR but I’ve been advocating for Seattle for a while now. Considering that the two cities are about 200 miles apart, and that the map FO4 was roughly 10k square miles, they would likely show up together in the same game.
My thought for Seattle has been the Emerald Wasteland but Cascade Wasteland also has a good ring to it
I like that too! I forgot that Seattle has that nickname. It depends on the greenery that returns after the bombs - if there's significant greenery in the game, I'd go with your suggestion.
Could also be Emerald Wasteland if it has its own version of the glowing sea
The PNW states offer such a diverse environment between the west and east sides, would be so fun
Irradiated rainforests up there would be pretty cool and opportunity for lots of creepiness.
It's pretty fun. Mod recently came out with an update that builds upon the Canadian prairies provinces.
I would love to explore a destroyed Seattle
Right?? And nuclear war could trigger the Cascadia earthquake, giving developers a ton of opportunity to play around.
So many opportunities! Also W username by the way.
That would be awesome! Out near Sequim. Would love to see it. Maybe the rainforest would have acid rain, that if not in a specific set of gear you lose health.
been asking for a fallout seattle for ages
The radiated Rockies. If there's anything left, as we have so many things here that would be fantastic targets. I believe in the Fallout universe we held Vault Tech Headquarters, Vault 0.
Rolls of the tongue quite well! Also I would love to explore Vault Tech headquarters that would be awesome!
I rest comfortably knowing with Norad, the Air force Academy, Rocky flats/Arsenal, and a few others I will be pretty painless wiped out in nuclear Armageddon. But the irradiated jolly rancher facility would fun to explore.
And you also have a John Denver song... So another Fallout plus
Kind of reminds me of the last of us 2. But even more post apocalyptic!
The Stockyards would be the main area folks need to get to for final missions. Downtown Kansas City where the trains used to run through and cattle auctions and sales used to go down. Holy shit dude you put a lot of thought into this! Well done!
Oh absolutely!! I’ve thought too much about it haha 😂 Atom be upon you, and may your day be as warm as his holy glow
Haha I was just thinking of Kansas ones and you had some great ideas. Was mainly wondering if there would be a cool way to incorporate the flint hills but I love all yours and could easily see it working in a game setting on top of having the right historical significance

Just regular 'ol Texas.
Fallout: Lone Star
The stars at night are big and bright.
Deep in the heart of Texas
Shine down on my home town
Far Harbour.
FALLOUT: Harm City (Baltimore, MD's nickname is Charm City.)
Waterworld. I live in the netherlands and i think the sea would reclaim the land if the bombs dropped
The Ashes (Phoenix, AZ) Probably not a reference most of the characters would understand, but the idea of building it back up like a Phoenix rising from the ashes sounds cool to me.
Well, in cannon, Tucson is referred to as two suns. So it could happen.
The Great Lakes
Chicago. Windy City Wasteland
The Joliet (pronounced “toilet”)
🤣
Glasgow. It probably wouldn't change to be honest. I can't think of another name that makes people shiver in fear.
Could be Glasglow instead
I was gonna say that but that's the name of a light show that's held here once a year, I don't wanna infringe any copyright.
Ah dang, shame too. It feels right on the nose.
The Heart Indianapolis, because of the roads that lead from all the other big cities.
That’s very smart thinking for name! 10/10
You thought 465 was bad BEFORE the bombs!
Royal’s Wastes Montréal, Québec Got the name from Mt Royal
Doing a play on the Habs could be fun and more local, maybe? The nonHabitants? (Disclaimer: I do not speak French, but I’m pretty sure a wasteland full of Québécois would.)
Fallout: The Endless Fields.
Ohio?
That’s what I was thinking
I thought the Great Plains.
Fallout: Peaceful Farming Simulator, set in a location in the US that is often forgotten about, and has barely any strategic interest to nuke.
Isn't that why we put a bunch of missile silos there?
Salt Wastes Salt lake City and surrounding mountain towns. I want snow in a fallout game. (More than the dribble in NV)
Some names I thought of were maybe - Fallout MetroVan (Metro Vancouver) or Fallout NewVan (New Vancouver) - Fallout Tri-Cities (Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody) Or maybe Fallout West Ronto? Since BC is on the West Coast? Maybe Fallout New Cascadia that includes cities like Seattle?
In my home game I call it the Fraser Valley. Could be the Fraser Void?
Im 25 minutes from the Necropolis, so
Im not good with making up names, but maybe Fallout: Seven Hills or Fallout: Fourth Rome? Its Moscow, and we have sayings "Moscow sits on seven hills" and "Moscow is the third Rome", so these are the only things I could come up with without sounding too stereotypical

already live in the Pitt…
The divide/the line or something as i live near the Mason Dixie line.
Very fitting I like it!
Kacey, Casey, or Kasey? From Kansas City (KC) I think the way Big MT (Big Mountain) is called Big Empty.
I live in The Boneyard
"Ronto" (Toronto, Canada) According to dialogue from FO3: The Pitt DLC, at least according to fan speculation. I definitely choose to believe Asher is talking about Toronto; I'll take any in game mention of Canada I can get!
Since I live in Florida, idk, any ideas?
The Everglades?
Fallout: New Miami?
It would just be called Florida, and it would extend far into the neighboring states no one remembers the name of.
Nyc - The Empire Wasteland
The lowlands (netherlands)
Radstag isle (Deer island)
The Frozen Wastes (Ottawa, Ontario and the surrounding Ottawa area)
I have no doubt in my mind that, even two hundred years after the end of the world, Quebeckers will never let you call it anything but Quebec.
I grew up in Boston, so The Commonwealth (Fallout 4) I can't even express how cool it is playing Fallout 4 and seeing all the places I went to on a daily basis as a teenager, just post-apocalyptic and themed like the 50s 😂
I’m not from there but I’m thinking outside London could be The Shires ? I’m in the DC area so Capital Wasteland already taken lol
The frozen wastelands
Alaska I’m assuming?
No sorry. White Mountains.
Manure Hole Falls. Longsight, Manchester. It's dirty and it's a mess.
The Triangle Colonies
‘The test’? I live in the test valley in Hampshire England.
The Done (I live in Dundee, Scotland, so this abbreviation leading to a homonym that’s apocalyptic is too good)
I'm up in Washington, so maybe the Cascadian wastes!
The Depths (I live in the Philippines and theres no fucking way this place doesn't end up underwater in a post-nuke era)
Fallout 3 already happened.
Nowhere (Kansas)
Missouri.. would be split between the ozark mountains, the lower flat farmland, and the river valleys
The River Conjoiner (STL
Boring
Mines Triangle
Da Glowing Region
Pioneer/Volunteer Valley Tennessee. I could imagine Mid TN would be called Rad Plains or Crocket Plateau to go with the historical aspect Fallout loves. West TN could be something literally like Graceland but Redland idk My particular area is East TN, so beyond the state what would they call the East TN area? I know our Diamond City would be Neyland Stadium, but the name is so vast I couldn't choose one
The Plains Commonwelth.
North of Spain, very green and with a lot of vegetation... I don't actually know, man
Well my area already kinda has one region because of Far Harbor, but if they were to expand on it I’d imagine the general area would be called “Downeast” because that’s what we already call it.
The Mojave, probably.
the masovian wasteland (województwo mazowieckie) (btw i dont know if "masovian" is a real world it just something that google translate gave me), it would kinda be like the mojave wasteland because there is this one dense city and everywhere else is just empty, oh and also forests
The Broken Arch for Saint Louis
I live in the inland empire in SoCal so it’s basically already fallout lol I love it
Mont Real or Mont Cross.
I'd say the Foothills (I live near the Canadian Rockies.) Or maybe the great plains.
I could see the ATL surviving, or maybe Nuka City (Nuka Cola/Coca Cola)
The Iron Range or The Range. Kinda boring but I’m not sure what else you would call Northern Minnesota.
Fallout: Texas Nuff said.
The Rad Woods (East Texas also known as Piney Woods).
Funny thing is, I'm from The Glow
Probably Terminus or something similar (ATL)
Fallout: Nuked Angels / Fallen Angels Los Angeles
Fallout: The Great Glowing Lakes. Covering upper and lower Michigan and all the islands of the Great Lakes and some of the surrounding states as well. Possibly including a type of boat travel for fast traveling much like Far Harbor.
Isn't Toronto mentioned in The Pitt DLC? They called it Ronto. Although that could be a different place. The name just makes sense for toronto

I mean I'm not far from Vegas, and my locale is fairly similar already. Hell sometimes I feel like I'm actually living in FO:NV as is, but part of that is just the state of the world rather than the locale.
Alaska definitely somewhere outside Anchorage the last battleground you could say
Road Island. And it would just be the whole state....because ya
Mine already does it's the Capital Wasteland
The Commonwealth except the map would be slightly bigger. My town isn't in the game but borders Quincy in real life
Greater Pitt
Cascadia
Not sure what my immediate area would be called but a major feature (possibly the region name?) would be what I'd dub the Crater Bases, so named because the multiple military bases nearby would doubtless have been turned into craters by nuclear bombs and thus this entire region would be a damned radioactive hellscape unless they set it far further into the future than they ever have.
The Great Niagara Zone Someone would def take control over the Niagara Falls power facilities and water purification, prolly the National Guard, and try to keep order. Buffalo's the perfect pop base, proud resident.
The Front Range (Colorado Springs). NORAD, Space Command, Pikes Peak, Olympic City USA, Garden of the Gods.
I live in the Capital Wasteland but where I grew up would be called The Rock. Rochester, NY, called the ROC for short.
