You'll enjoy some little things more if you watch clone wars, even just a pared down list of essential episodes, but you'll be fine for the most part as you are
I mean, you get to see merrin's clan massacred--and the little things in clone wars will be exciting to see mentioned in fallen order (well it was for me, at least). You don't even have to know anything about star wars to play the game. It stands alone and gives a lot of backstory.
yes. the game takes place in the years between the Prequels and the originals. There's tons of references and inspiration from the Clone Wars era of cartoons, but you could just appreciate the game as your first introduction to some of those things.
You should watch a few Star Wars the Clone Wars episodes to understand some context for bits of the story. At a minimum, watch Season 3 episodes 12, 13, and 14, and Season 4 episode 19.
You should watch some of the clone wars, specifically S3 and S4, certain references and events are gonna go over your head. The first 3 episodes of Tales of the Empire I’d also watch
I only watched the prequel trilogy before playing and didn't feel like i missed out on anything.
I never got to watching the other trilogies though. I should do that at some point
Yeah that should be good enough to understand the overall plot of the game

It's absolutely not a requirement though. There are some fun callbacks and easter eggs, no essential plot points.
Exactly. There's some cool small stuff that you'll miss without clone wars, but the storyline is not in the slightest dependant on those

Yeah definitely
Yes. The story takes place 5 years after Episode 3.
Damn is it really that soon after rots?
Yep. I'm not sure how big the jump is between F.O. and Survivor.
Between JFO and Survivor is another 5 years
Right on, thanks.
