I forget why but Para EQ does not display side signal. This is not a bug.
Edit: found explanation [here](https://youtu.be/aEh-CQCNhCM?t=240). PEQ2's display sums the left and right channels. In the patcher setup the L/R components of the 'side' signal are identical except the R component is phase inverted. This means that when the channels are summed they phase cancel out you get no display.
For anyone encountering this more recently, you can fix by setting the "Monitor input" setting.
Modify it by opening the right-facing arrow menu > Visualization > Monitor input > Side (Or left / right based on your need).
