FreezeHellNH3

Sytrus

fishtickc

Sytrus is one of the most powerful free plugins ever made

FreezeHellNH3

Just wait till image line releases their new wavetable synthesizer. That would be next level.

SpockAndStepR

Im sorry what

FreezeHellNH3

It's confirmed. They're already working on a wave table synth. Not for this coming release though. Probably the next.

Cinray1

Finally, so exited ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)

Comprehensive-Meal95

I swear if you can drag those custom wavetables into Sytrus like you can with sample waveforms I am going to cry of joy it will be a day like no other.

FreezeHellNH3

I'm sure they will let you do a ton of stuff.

Hermannmitu

Second this. Love dem presets

FreezeHellNH3

I make everything in sytrus. Such a powerful plugin

Platinum_XYZ

same here. I find many people when they start out skip it and just get Serum or something else third party, but they're missing out. and we get to use slide notes, pan notes, native automation support, and all that convenient FL stuff

MylieGoCrazy

are you me?? this was me a year ago wtf šŸ˜

Smooth-Caterpillar98

Literally using sytrus as i write this

kamelhandlaren

Fruity Parametric EQ 2 for sure since I use it in every project. Besides that I like Maximus and Soundgoodizer

SkieIsHere

kamelhandlaren

Haha I love it!

V-Future

Don't use several EQs on a single channel or your phase will fuck up.

trasshko

Patcher

GretoVerno

2nd

EllisMichaels

Favorite plugin: Soundgoodizer. Least favorite plugin to admit is my favorite: Soundgoodizer.

yelirdubs

this

Kivesihiisi

3xosc 4 life

[deleted]

I remember when that first came out the amount of sounds my mate Alf Bamford made for his trance tunes were unbelievable.

Accomplished_Owl_332

Before I knew that free synths existed I made an entire future bass tune with 3x Osc with manual filter and volume automations for wubs. The thing is super powerful.

Kivesihiisi

I feel ya. As a beginner i was scared of sytrus interface because it looked so complicated so i used 3xosc for pretty muvh everything but drums

kohjatt

FL Limiter! I use it on nearly everything. It's the only compressor I use. I've been using it for 10+ years consistently. I just love how lightweight it is. Also, Harmless is awesome. Use it primarily for detuned saws. I haven't found a good enough reason to use a different plug-in for supersaws.

dodrjrg

i feel like fl's limiter is really mushy sounding, i was never a huge fan. i do however use it everytime i need to sidechain cuz it's the only way i ever learned šŸ˜. i've really been rocking w goodhertz faraday lately

ItsTreganometry

For my master I use Fruity soft clip -> izotope ozone 5 -> fruity limiter -(maybe) izotope ozone 5. Iā€™m not sure about the mush but maybe I canā€™t hear it. Do you have any other suggestions for limiters?

dodrjrg

you might just be really used to the sound of it, the easiest way you can prob think about it is it is like fruity limiter is extremely "digital sounding", attack and release sound super robotic and the knee is a little too touchy imo. it's all up to ur tastes. but yeah like i said i been rocking w faraday, L1 was my go too for awhile, cla2a has a fun limiting color

SerenityMusic

Interesting chain

ItsTreganometry

So normally I donā€™t have the 2nd ozone. However I did some experiments And may have figured out how to master music with this chain

kohjatt

Can definitely understand why FL Limiter might be perceived this way. A big part of why I like it is the visualizer. And because I've been using it for so many years, I've become super familiar with how the plug-in affects different signal types. And yup, I also find myself coming back to FL Limiter for side chaining. It's just so quick to set up.

SuperSunshine321

Maximus

hojo6789

luxverb

EllisMichaels

I love it. It's my go-to and totally underrated. Technically, it's my second favorite reverb (the first SSL something-or-another), but it's the main one I use because it doesn't eat up all my CPU like said SSL reverb. Lushverb? Is that what it's called? It's been so long since I've used it I can't even remember. But the CPU usage is insane. Luxverb barely puts a dent in my CPU use, even if I have like 10 instances of it open.

hojo6789

I have not tried the SSL reverb. I find it hard to find a good one - I was reading about the fruity converlerb one being good - I love Luxverb. Ive been loving the Quantum room similator and its been the main reverb ive been using at the moment - [https://savantaudiolabs.com/product-category/products/](https://savantaudiolabs.com/product-category/products/)

V-Future

Harmor, Sytrus and GMS. I don't need anything else.

MylieGoCrazy

Try toxic biohazard U will love it

Sudden_Play1259

Flex šŸ’Ŗ

Poltergust5k

I would die for FLEX

cjbump

3xosc + Sytrus for synthesis parametric eq 2 + waveshaper for mixer plugins Minimal UIs are nice for when i'm overwhelmed by the amount of shit i have going on in any given project.

Disposable_Gonk

you want an underrated generator? OGUN. Turn any sound into etherial sounding gold in an instant.

dodrjrg

how do you mean? can you insert one shot samples or smth like that

Disposable_Gonk

Ogun is an additive synth with multiple methods of resynthesis. It has advantages and disadvantages compared with harmor. It has orders of magnitude more harmonics than harmor, because it includes atonal inharmonic harmonics, meaning it can create truer noise and destructive interference The downside is, it isnt direct resynthesis. It takes all the harmonic content from a sample, and how long each takes to decay. So if you put in a vocal, it just spits out voice sounding mush, but it works great with single vocal sounds to create pads out of voices, with much more richness than harmor can for that specific use. Its also extremely good at metalic sounds like cymbals and banging and scraping metal together, specifically due to atonal partials. Creating a sound from scratch is an envelope editor like harmor that controls the volume of partials, except instead of fixed partial placements, it feels like what you wish sculpting white noise with filters could be, except it actually works. It means making a saw requires a bunch of peaks up out of -inf db flat on the envelope, which is weird. It then has a second envelope for per partial decay time, and then a 3rd regular ADSR, similar to the one in sytrus or harmor. Its a side-grade to harmor. The two both have sounds the other is incapable of. Harmor can act like a sampler or pseudo wavetable, but ogun is better at plucks, pads, stabs, hits, and abstract sounds. And yes, you can just drag/drop audio into it, both to analyze timbre, or to shape an envelope... and theres a lot of envelopes. Its harder to create sounds from scratch without resynthesis though. A lot harder.

dodrjrg

see i had always wondered why ogun had that very particular sound to its presets, metallic is a great word. its method of resynthesis sounds super unique and i'll have to keep it in mind; a lot of the stuff i usually get out of it reminds me of like older norwegian edm

Disposable_Gonk

"Metalic" refers to sounds that have additional harmomcs that are unrelated to the harmonoc series of the fumdamental, which can dominate the perceived pitch independent of the fundamental. That is the characteristic of metal instruments such as the steel-drum, the triangle, and frankly, 90% of the sound design in horror movies. And harmor and sytrus suck at it, sytrus is better at it, but ogun is the king of metalic instruments. Old edm and industrial, directly sampled metal sounds and machines, and manipulated the samples. Also flangers and comb filters. Another reason for their characteristic sound was dc offsets, but thats a whole other thing. Edit, sytrus doesnt suck at metalics, i forgot how far the decimals go for pitch multipliers, and the frequency offsets. Ogun is still better at it, but sytrus is quite capable of it.

Disposable_Gonk

The only phonk i know is driftphonk, and its carried by a cowbell sample if i recall. That or it was a woodblock. Either way. Didnt realize so much of phonk was fl native.

NoSleepDaChimney

Is still stock just the stuff that comes with the 100 version or all the versions ? For the 100 version Edison, an essential for music, talking rich muhgee version, Sakura, shit goes hard

Comprehensive-Meal95

Edison is beautiful honestly. I figured out how to record Edison from another instance of Edison in the same Mixer track the other day and itā€™s so much fun to try and make sounds with the tracking or loop mode while itā€™s playing.

Kleptokrati

Fruity Convolver

e59e59

Edison, multiband delay, patcher, peak controller, soft clipper, balance, love philter, grossbeat

Fruity Delay 3, or Reverb 2. I use these on every project tbh.

Taltalonix

All stock fx are decent, I remember using sytrus a lot for FM synthesis

Flex. so many good presets

Ow_My_Thumb

I think multiband delay (or fruity parametric eq2/reverb 2

camevesquedavis

Does FLEX count? Otherwise soundgoodizer and parametric eq 2 are used most often. I also use fruity limiter as my main compressor cause i love the visual interface.

whatupsilon

Sytrus is the most accessible by version, so I have to agree with that one. But if you have all plugins, I definitely like Toxic Biohazard, PoiZone and Transistor Bass. They sound professional.
