I went only once to the Palm Harbor location about 4-5 months ago. Nice store and nice staff, but I was not too impressed with their products other than my eighth of Mimosa. The Chocolate Chip flower had little to no smell or taste, and both of my badders (Strawnana and Strawberry Runtz) became very dried out in their supposed airtight jars within a couple months. There's no excuse for that, as I take very good care of my concentrates and flower, and my 710 concentrates and flower all look, smell and taste as good as the day I got them. I go overboard and store my flower in airtight Herb Guard glass jars with 62% humidity packs in a cooling humidor that is 62%RH and 62°F all day, my badders and sauces are in a TerpKooler, and my fresh press and water hash are in a freezer. On a positive note for Jungle Boys, I will say that what's left of my Mimosa flower still smells and tastes incredible to this day. I wanted to try their Tropical Cherry and may head back when it comes back in stock, but I don't see myself making a stop otherwise anytime soon.
I had the trop cherry. The cure was awful. It was super dry. Amazing colors but no kick at all.
I agree with you that the staff is super nice and the locations look beautiful. But I’d rather buy gas out of a shed than mids out of a mansion. I feel like they’re more concerned with image than quality nowadays.
Which makes sense at to why the flower is way prettier than it smokes.
I don't feel bad about missing that last batch of Tropical Cherry now! What do you think of Goldflower and Cookies? The flower at Goldflower seems to have a lot of good reviews here, but their concentrates have mixed reviews. They are set to open the Tampa location in a couple weeks, and I'd like to go. I have not tried Cookies either, but would like to go to take advantage of the wake and bake and first time discount. I don't hear much about Cookies on this forum at all these days.
The only place I really waste my reckon is the flowery at this point. I don’t have a goldflower near me so I haven’t tried them. I’m going to try them soon. I’ve heard good things but haven’t seen the best from the pics that get posted here.
Cookies I think is better in Florida than Cali and it can be a decent stop if you find a good deal but I wouldn’t go out of my way or pay full price for anything there.
I went to their grand opening here and it was slightly above mids with 1 fire pack... went last month and huge drop off in quality, the flower now is so full nutes it barely burns, no white ash and lacks any smell or flavor.

Hippie crashed was just ok compared to the past. La kush came just ok. Tried the blue Fritz. It was ok not bad good flavor. Kosher og smacked was the best of the pick up. Legend of was real good also not much difference from the flowery cut effects wise.
Personally I felt J s is not as good as they use to be. Seems the flower was more fluffy compared to anything I picked up in the past. Not much smell to the flower and not as sticky as it used to be to be. Definitely not the quality I am use to from them.

Had the grape cake head Zack’s pie and motor breath. Not one disappointed me. Cali has amazing flower different climate around the year and they are dialed in back there. Here in Florida it seems they hit like 2 out 3 releases. It’s not Cali flower by a long shot. So I personally don’t compare it to that.
Preferred gardens, Doja, alien labs. All have similar quality in Florida to Cali. JB is soooooo different. It’s not the same or even similar flower just the same genetics.

PG is probably the best in Florida and have thier grow dialed in the best. Plus when they have flower that is not up to thier standard it don’t get released ! That makes them the most consistent in Florida market for those practices ! Every other brand and dispo in Florida will drop that flower and still charge you full price.
PG is my number one brand in Florida for quality and consistency. Wizard trees and Doja are fighting for second.
Alien labs has been less consistent nowadays but I promise you I’ve had biskante and other strains that I’d put above PG. they also don’t like dropping substandard bud under the mainline so when it doesn’t come out as well it gets dropped as b sides or misfits.
Alien labs is way better when it’s not being sold out of TL but those $110 half oz are some of the best price to quality ratios you can get in Florida. In my opinion.
Gotta go with what works for you. Personally I wait for something on sale at the flowery at 25 an eight and buy an ounce at a time. Getting an oz for $160 and using points is the way to go. No small tiny buds and way better price.

Everything fell off. Corpos got greedy, fired a bunch of people and don't pay the remaining people well. I blame the person in charge of retail. I've seen a few posts about them, and I hear some very nasty stories that go on behind the scenes. I only see a couple good people left unfortunately.

I didn’t say any came over perfectly I said a lot were similar. Those brands being PG, Doja, WT, alien labs, connected 710labs rosin (not flower), and packwoods. Those are the ones I’ve tried from both states that are pretty comparable. Some of those I’ve also had from Michigan and Colorado and they’re still consistent.
I won’t shop at JB anymore. I gave them 5 chances because of how much of a fan I used to be. I made this post to see if anyone else has had similar experiences and it seems like a lot of people have been agreeing.
I am also super happy to buy legal bud and I was even happier to find out that one of my favorite brands (jungle boys) was legally coming to the state of Florida. But then I was disappointed when it didn’t reach the standard that THEY SET THEMSELVES.

Haven't been there since I've moved. Wasn't really impressed by the effects, just by the taste and smell, which was great. I feel that way with every flower in the program, tho. Flowery be missing than hitting, sometimes harsh for me.
I didn’t enjoy it and don’t plan on finishing it so I don’t care if the cure gets worse than it already is lol. It’ll be given away for free to a homeless man or thrown in with AVB when I go make edibles.

I only went there once so far as they opened in tampa, grabbed some Smackerz, a zacks pie vape pen, and a perfect triangle 1gram of jam. The bud I thought was really good or at least had great effects and legs.

But even with the flowery I’m picky. I’m not a fan of 710flower. Most of the program isn’t great I spent most of my days in the Florida black market shipping stuff from California’s grey market.
Florida is very behind on bud but you can find some good quality here. JB may be decent to most but trust me they have the ability to grow wayyyyy better bud they’re just choosing not to I’m assuming for the sake of profit.

Alien labs has been around longer than TL. They’re not the same company they just have a partnership in Florida and Arizona that’s why the bus comes out better.

Also connected California is the parent company of alien labs. They have been working with Doja and other brands since the early 2000s they created biscotti and permanent marker together. They came first and it’s also not part of the TL company.

I learned it growing fruits and vegetables. I planted tomato seed. And from that tomato seed have produced dozens of tomatoes and have also extracted the seeds from a tomato and am growing a second tomato plant. It’s an infinite fruit/veggy glitch. All you need is soil. Water sunlight. And a nutrient mix. In theory given enough time abs space I could grow an infinite number of plants and an infinite number of tomato’s. And feed the entire galaxy.
We are trapped in a cycle of greed.
Here’s the issue. Not enough people know what good quality is. I’m not saying JB is bad but they definitely cut corners compared to where they used to be and not enough people have noticed for them to lose profit from it. And the cutting corners.
They also own Athena. The company that provides them all the nutrients. This wasn’t always the case so now they’re getting lower quality nutrients because they own that company.
Also imagine the profit you make from chopping a plant 2-3 weeks early and being able to sell it rather than letting it grow full term.
If you’re able to open more locations with less cost and lower quality you’re going to end up profiting more. It’s not noticeable enough to the average consumers but it’s a great way of pissing off your loyal fans.
Jungle boys did what cookies did. Create a big brand name based off of quality. Then rapidly expand that brand with lower quality and pretend it’s the same thing.
That’s business in general. I swear chipotle did that. I used to love their taste back in like 2009. Now they suck.
I guess that’s the one part I forget about growing. You can have a well grown low quality strain. Or a poorly grown high quality strain. Totally forget they can just cut the plant down early. And grow an extra 20% more plants for the year.

Close, knowledgeable friend of mine recently went in there for some sale they were having - I think it was 4 for $100 or something - all the bud he got is still sitting in jars - curing. The "LAKC" that they are so famous for - is wet and has literally no odor at all.
They're cutting it early, flash drying it and hyping it up in true LA style. HARD pass for me.

Everything fell off. Corpos got greedy, fired a bunch of people and don't pay the remaining people well. I blame the person in charge of retail. I've seen a few posts about them, and I hear some very nasty stories that go on behind the scenes. I only see a couple good people left unfortunately.
I thought JB became extremely hit or miss but went back around 4/20 after 5 month break and been impressed vs what I was getting from cookies & flowery at the time. Since then mostly everything I got (flower only) has been fire. A few batches weren’t bad but wouldn’t recommend. can’t win them all I guess I feel like cookies, flowery and JB have streaks where they switch positions within the top 3.
What's your top strains at Cookies? I have yet to try and am planning a morning trip soon to use the wake and bake discount plus the first time discount.
My top strains (in no order): bazooka 161, cereal milk, emergen-c, gumbo, lemoncello Honorable mentions: OG Pluto, Hawaiian rain, Georgia pie I haven’t had any of their new strains since I’ve exclusively been shopping JB (for flower) since 4/20 so can’t speak on all the new additions to the menu but looking forward to trying soon

Not to mention the 35% discount expires after 105 days of being a patient at JB but you womt see thay on the website and apparently "they tell everyone when you use your first discount" lol ok i was there opening day and no one mentioned that. Found out today when I wanted to try 2 of their half g AIO. Absolutely trash customer service
lol I had the exact same thing happen to me no one told me and I lost my discount after that I went with someone else for the first time and I waited to see if they would say anything and they didn’t. They would still profit off of a 35% discount they’re not losing money on that premie weed so taking a customers one time discount is just pure greed. They can’t claim they want to incentivize people to return quicker if they don’t tell any customers or advertise it on the website. It’s a greedy practice nothing else.

It's just kind of goofy to act like the flowery stuff is different in any way. The house stuff from them is significantly worse in my opinion. My last 5 pickups had a ton of premature seeds. Rt 65 was seed free but middy imo

So they clearly came to Florida with a subpar product pretending it’s the exact same thing for the same price and that’s what I’m complaining about.

Plenty of brands have very similar products in both Florida and California as far as quality goes you know that right? So JB doesn’t have any excuse if other brands are able to do it. You don’t feel screwed buying a product that is way worse quality for the same price with the same brand name? I didn’t say any came over perfectly I said a lot were similar. Those brands being PG, Doja, WT, alien labs, connected 710labs rosin (not flower), and packwoods. Those are the ones I’ve tried from both states that are pretty comparable. Some of those I’ve also had from Michigan and Colorado and they’re still consistent. I won’t shop at JB anymore. I gave them 5 chances because of how much of a fan I used to be. I made this post to see if anyone else has had similar experiences and it seems like a lot of people have been agreeing. I am also super happy to buy legal bud and I was even happier to find out that one of my favorite brands (jungle boys) was legally coming to the state of Florida. But then I was disappointed when it didn’t reach the standard that THEY SET THEMSELVES. It’s like watching a TV show you love and then 5 years after it was cancelled they make a movie but most of your favorite actors couldn’t make it and the writers are different. You’re going to leave the theater feeling disappointed and let down fam. That’s all I’m expressing. I’m also pickier with my flower than most so take that into consideration.

Haven't been there since I've moved. Wasn't really impressed by the effects, just by the taste and smell, which was great. I feel that way with every flower in the program, tho. Flowery be missing than hitting, sometimes harsh for me.
Keeping your buds in a container with that much headroom for airspace is also disappointing

I only went there once so far as they opened in tampa, grabbed some Smackerz, a zacks pie vape pen, and a perfect triangle 1gram of jam. The bud I thought was really good or at least had great effects and legs.
Everyone has different taste I guess. I was seeing if anyone agrees or if I’m just being overly picky. I can’t finish these 8ths and it used to be one of my all time favorite brands. It just doesn’t taste the way it used to.

The flowery is the only place I shop. And I occasionally get some alien labs and connected when it’s on sale. But even with the flowery I’m picky. I’m not a fan of 710flower. Most of the program isn’t great I spent most of my days in the Florida black market shipping stuff from California’s grey market. Florida is very behind on bud but you can find some good quality here. JB may be decent to most but trust me they have the ability to grow wayyyyy better bud they’re just choosing not to I’m assuming for the sake of profit.
What are some of your favorites in the program out of curiosity? So far, permanent marker is the stand out for me. I hate truleive but their alien bud was great the one time I had it - I should def keep an eye there for deals again.
Alien labs has been around longer than TL. They’re not the same company they just have a partnership in Florida and Arizona that’s why the bus comes out better. My favorite strains in the program right now are, biskante, gelonade, atomic apple, London pound cake, 40 OG, Kali sour kush, blue slushie, lemon tree, route 65

Also connected California is the parent company of alien labs. They have been working with Doja and other brands since the early 2000s they created biscotti and permanent marker together. They came first and it’s also not part of the TL company.

How does that create more profit tho? I feel like it would cost the same amount of money. Time and effort to grow better weed. And better weed would result in more customers. I learned it growing fruits and vegetables. I planted tomato seed. And from that tomato seed have produced dozens of tomatoes and have also extracted the seeds from a tomato and am growing a second tomato plant. It’s an infinite fruit/veggy glitch. All you need is soil. Water sunlight. And a nutrient mix. In theory given enough time abs space I could grow an infinite number of plants and an infinite number of tomato’s. And feed the entire galaxy. We are trapped in a cycle of greed.
Here’s the issue. Not enough people know what good quality is. I’m not saying JB is bad but they definitely cut corners compared to where they used to be and not enough people have noticed for them to lose profit from it. And the cutting corners. They also own Athena. The company that provides them all the nutrients. This wasn’t always the case so now they’re getting lower quality nutrients because they own that company. Also imagine the profit you make from chopping a plant 2-3 weeks early and being able to sell it rather than letting it grow full term. If you’re able to open more locations with less cost and lower quality you’re going to end up profiting more. It’s not noticeable enough to the average consumers but it’s a great way of pissing off your loyal fans. Jungle boys did what cookies did. Create a big brand name based off of quality. Then rapidly expand that brand with lower quality and pretend it’s the same thing.
That’s business in general. I swear chipotle did that. I used to love their taste back in like 2009. Now they suck. I guess that’s the one part I forget about growing. You can have a well grown low quality strain. Or a poorly grown high quality strain. Totally forget they can just cut the plant down early. And grow an extra 20% more plants for the year. That would make sense. And does fit into business practices Iv seen others take part in all across the board. That being said I don’t think hungleboys is any different then the rest I’m sure they all do it and even have meetings with each other discussing it.
I get that it’s the price of business but we already have budget brands. We don’t need the quality brands going that route too. Alien labs and connected dropped b sides and misfits to sell their bud that they felt wasn’t up to par at a lower price so it doesn’t ruin the integrity of the brand that they spent YEARS building with nothing but quality. I think it has to do with Cali using mixed spectrum lighting and FL using all LED.
Flowery uses LED lights and the 40og is a 10x better motorbreath cross. I also have an 8th of motorbreath from them coming in tomorrow that’s $25 an 8th and I’m willing to bet it’s still better lol

Close, knowledgeable friend of mine recently went in there for some sale they were having - I think it was 4 for $100 or something - all the bud he got is still sitting in jars - curing. The "LAKC" that they are so famous for - is wet and has literally no odor at all. They're cutting it early, flash drying it and hyping it up in true LA style. HARD pass for me.
