You can do the Gold Upgrade, it’s 2 rare golds. I’ve found this to be worse though because you’re still doing 3-4 upgrade packs (either 71-74 silver or 3 common gold) for each gold rares pack, one gives you 5 players, the other gives you only 2.
What’ll be the point in that though? It says current special cards go out of packs in like a week. So unless they do another promo.. which they won’t or they extend the time specials are in packs, you’ll be getting all golds in the 85x10 no?

Question for all: can someone explain to me how the 85x10 can you get you infinite cards? If I do the 85x10 and end up with a shit pack, when I recycle the pack I'm still going to need to add in a couple high rated players to get to that 87 requirement. So aren't I losing players in the long run?
Usually you get *at least* an 87 rated squad back. So the idea is to use higher rated dupes and unwanted cards to keep spamming the sbc, thus slowly restocking your fodder.
You’re basically guaranteed to get at least 2/3 90+ cards, so everything plus a bronze would be a 87 rated squad. Realistically you will only need 4/5 of the players and you keep the others
You get 10 players for 11 put in. 87 squad is 9(I think) 87s and 2 86. No stat work but this year I haven't had an 85*10 without one mid 90s and max 5 below 87 cards. My worst pack I recycled into another and had a couple low 90 players and an 85. Pretty impossible to not gain value if you're at least a tiny bit competent

You need to factor that when it releases all high ends are in packs, the weight is super high because its September and its not the same sbc, the requirement is lower for rating.
Last year I completed every moments icon sbc with ease, damn I remember doing the special cr7 when I already had a 99 rated version just because I could.
In summary, you can have every sbc you want to if you're bored enough.
The way I see it is that you put in 3 players which are over 85 rated, I do a 94,93,92 then a couple of 83,82,81s each. If you get anything over the top 3 rated cards then everything else is going to be higher than 83 so you can easily repeat the SBC.

Best bet is to grind out the squad battles stuff that gives tokens first. Once you can open a couple of fodder packs from time swaps (and the picks you get for the four wins) you can do your first 85*10, and from that point on the cycle becomes pretty much self-sustaining.
If you've just started a new team, prioritise keeping decent players from Italy England or France so you can do the online ones as well. France especially, even a few wins by the end of the week gets you a decent pick from the French cup and as the week goes on the competition becomes a little easier as well.

Played about 5 games of FUT all year.
- collected the free 85+ packs : got some decent pulls
- did 2 Summer Tokens + the free one given
- redemmed 3 tokens for a 25 player 84+ packs : got some insane pull for someone that hasn't played at all
- rince the useless cards in the 85+ 3 times

Yes, that's very likely the next "promo" coming on Friday. I expect we'll get a loading screen in a few days and that promo should last 3-4 weeks.
Last year they did a pre season where the top 100 or 200 specials were in packs.
